The hygiene was really bad. As soon as I entered the room, I saw noticeable hair in the bathtub, which is a big concern for families with kids who love to bathe. I don't recommend this place! Even with bath bags, it was still gross. The bathroom had a sewer smell coming from it in the middle of the night, which really ruined the vacation experience! Also, the front desk attendant who answered the phone had very low emotional intelligence. I asked for some water and said I liked tea, specifically ripe Pu-erh, not those fruity teas. They ended up sending a random assortment of teas with no Pu-erh at all. The hygiene was poor, there were strange smells, and the service was not attentive. On top of that, there were time restrictions for the airport shuttle, and although they eventually took me to the airport, the whole process was unpleasant! I definitely don't recommend it!!! The made-to-order breakfast stations had long queues. I distinctly remember the chef making omelets telling guests behind him to stop queuing before 10:30 AM, basically implying it was time to clock out. This is the first time I've encountered a five-star hotel operating this way!

The location is great, right in the city center, making it convenient to get anywhere. There are plenty of activities for young children, which is lovely, but it's a shame there weren't many options for older kids or teens. I also didn't see any organized adult activities like morning exercises. The hotel has a good number of rooms, but during the Chinese New Year peak season, we had to wait for a table at breakfast. The breakfast spread was quite varied, and they even had a clown performing repeatedly in the dining area, which was a nice touch.

The service was excellent; they confirmed my requests in advance and had everything ready on time. The staff were very enthusiastic, and the room was quite clean. The shuttle service to and from the airport was also a thoughtful touch. The complimentary activities were all great, perfect for families with kids, and the staff were very polite. The food was just okay; the desserts were delicious, and the noodle station was good, but the rest was pretty standard.

The hotel environment is absolutely beautiful. Waking up to fresh air every morning is a treat, and they offer a wide range of fantastic family activities. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the rooms are spotless. I'll definitely be coming back! The milk tea travel photography service was very professional, and the photos turned out great. Plus, there was a huge variety of outfits to choose from, making the whole experience excellent!

The hotel facilities are great, and the airport shuttle service is super convenient. The tropical surroundings are lush, and the Dai palace makes for fantastic photos. Breakfast offers a wide variety of choices that satisfy everyone in the family. The staff are warm and attentive, always ready to help with any issues. There are also plenty of activities, making it perfect for families traveling with children and seniors.

The InterContinental Hotel boasts a magnificent overall environment with abundant greenery, making it ideal for a vacation. It's definitely one of the best hotels in Xishuangbanna. The kids absolutely loved the parent-child activities, especially the traditional papermaking and face painting. I highly recommend the hotel's photography service; the photographer did an amazing job, making it hard to choose just a few pictures. The only drawback was that one staff member responsible for selecting clothes could improve her service attitude.
