Yongguichuan on the Mountain Top Close to the mountains, close to the clouds. The log cabin, with its soft white drapes, felt both romantic and rustic. The pavilion offered an excellent view; looking up, I saw the distant mountains, as if hearing the call of the divine peaks. As night fell, the sky above was blanketed with stars, and then, a steaming yak hotpot, fresh, fragrant, and warming to the stomach. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the room with the best view. The staff were warm and friendly, the environment was absolutely stunning, and I could see the stars at night. We even received half a bottle of red wine with our meal. The front desk attendant was warm, genuine, and amusing. This trip was relaxing, fortunate, and romantic—truly delightful!

I was really looking forward to this trip before heading up the mountain, and it certainly lived up to expectations once I arrived. Even though the mountain road was winding and bumpy, making me incredibly nervous at the time, it didn't spoil the joy of seeing such beautiful scenery. At Yongguichuan, I truly felt the crisp, otherworldly atmosphere of the high mountains. The room design was rustic and substantial, with a real sense of history. Lying in bed, I inexplicably thought of many ancient poems. The temperature difference on the mountain is quite significant, and the room is equipped with floor heating, though it's summer now so we didn't need it. The nights were very cool and comfortable, and incredibly quiet. The toiletries were excellent; my only regret is that I didn't dare to shower due to fear of altitude sickness. There were some small bugs and ants at night, but that's understandable given the mountain environment. It's not going to be as pristine as a city hotel. The staff were very responsive, and the ******* young man at the restaurant was especially warm and cheerful! I was lucky enough to capture beautiful photos of the Milky Way, which was the biggest surprise.

The hotel is nestled on a mountain with breathtaking views! It truly feels like a vacation. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

This hotel is generally fantastic, but first, let's address the shortcomings: 1. **Remote Location:** It's quite a drive. Even without traffic, allow at least 3 hours to get from the base of the mountain to Huanglong Jiuzhai Station. 2. **Dirty Bay Window & Chair Cushions:** The bay window and chair cushions definitely need a deep clean; they had a lot of stains. 3. **Missing Afternoon Tea Items:** The afternoon tea menu was much smaller than what was shown in the booking interface. Items like pudding and potato wedges were missing. We weren't informed about this proactively. I only noticed it when comparing photos from other guests to the listed menu, and indeed, items were missing. I didn't press the butler on it, but it would be good to be informed upfront about such changes. 4. **Kettle Design Flaw:** I suggest changing the design of the kettle. When the water boils and you lift the kettle, the steam from the lid can easily scald your hand. 5. **Lackluster Souvenir:** It would be nice to offer a more unique souvenir. Leaving without one felt a bit abrupt. It doesn't have to be expensive, just a small thoughtful gesture. 6. **Afternoon Tea Restaurant & Pool Need Upgrade:** The afternoon tea restaurant, especially the pool area, didn't feel very high-end. If there's a budget, an upgrade would be beneficial. Now for the positives: 1. **Outstanding Design & Quality:** The overall style, design, hard furnishings, soft furnishings, materials, and choices all complement the environment beautifully and have a high-quality feel. It's truly impressive! 2. **Excellent Staff:** The hotel staff are genuinely warm and friendly without being overly intrusive. The shuttle drivers were particularly enthusiastic and helpful. 3. **Delicious & Generous Food:** Both the late-night snack and breakfast were delicious and served in generous portions. They put a lot of thought into it. It's a shame I didn't get to try a full meal due to time constraints, but I'll make sure to next time. 4. **Surprising Amenities in Cabins:** I was genuinely surprised to find underfloor heating in the log cabins, and the hot water supply was excellent. I heard each room has six water heaters, which is fantastic and ensures a very comfortable stay for guests. I really didn't expect such good conditions at the mountaintop! Besides these four advantages, there are many other highlights. In summary, it's a very thoughtful and impressive destination. Highly recommended!

Getting up the mountain was a challenge, but totally worth it! 😂 The guesthouse design is fantastic 👍 So beautiful. We even saw a rainbow on the back mountain 🌈 – absolutely stunning!

I specifically came to Jiuzhaigou for this hotel, Yongguichuan, and didn't go anywhere else, just stayed put. The actual place is exactly like the pictures, even more beautiful. Although I stayed in a standard room, the lowest one called 'Chunfen' (Vernal Equinox), there was absolutely no obstruction in front, so the view was superb. My favorite tea pavilion was in every room. Each room is actually a suite; you enter through a small courtyard into a separate living room, then through another small courtyard into the bedroom. The inner courtyard has a tea pavilion, an outdoor hot tub, and you can even sit under the veranda to stargaze. I absolutely love this simple, unadorned style! The breakfast is a set menu that changes daily and it's all delicious. The service is excellent. If it weren't so incredibly far, I'd really love to stay here more often. It's so wonderful to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the tranquility!

The hotel's design is quite nice, and the ambiance is good. Perhaps due to its remote location, the hotel's upkeep is a bit lacking. In one of our rooms, the view was obstructed by greenery, and the gazebo was unusable, surrounded by overgrown weeds. Luckily, the other room had a great view, perfect for photos, and we could enjoy the scenery from its gazebo. The wooden floors in the houses creaked, which might just be part of the rustic charm. Also, there were quite a few small flying insects, so we had to keep the doors closed – I guess that's part of the natural, untouched environment! 😂 Despite these minor issues, there were some pleasant surprises during our two-day stay. The starry nights were absolutely stunning, creating a perfectly secluded and peaceful atmosphere. Enjoying tea while admiring the mountain views was a real treat. The afternoon tea at the coffee shop was also excellent, and overall, we were quite satisfied with the dining. It was a wonderfully laid-back and relaxing stay.

This hotel, converted from twelve ******* houses, boasts fantastic design! The service is impeccable; they answer every question and offer a very thoughtful mini-shuttle service. The ******* welcome ceremony is a wonderful touch. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are excellent. All the meals—lunch/dinner, afternoon tea, late-night snacks, and coffee—taste great. It was a truly relaxing and pleasant day, far from the city's hustle and bustle, allowing us to quietly embrace the slow pace of the mountains.

The scenery is beautiful, and the room design is stunning. The coffee is good, and the food is decent. The only downside is that the room was quite large and a bit dusty. The road up the mountain was exhilarating, especially since we drove our own off-road vehicle. The hotel's pickup service, using a Mini, was impressive though! 👍🏻
