The hotel environment is wonderful! It's very quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Every staff member was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was also excellent. The only minor drawback is its distance from the main attractions and city center, but otherwise, there's nothing to fault. The young woman at the front desk was particularly kind and enthusiastic! Special commendation goes to the Front Office Manager. During our stay, my husband sprained his ankle, and she proactively helped us get medicine. Her warm inquiries and genuine concern truly touched our hearts and made us feel so cared for!

The hotel is located about 60 km away from Jiuzhaigou Park, which makes it quite a long drive to reach the main attraction. There is an unfinished project beside the hotel, which affects the overall atmosphere. Although the room with a valley view was clean and comfortable, the hotel doesn’t quite feel like a luxury property. The corridor carpet looked dirty, and getting to the room was inconvenient. Many facilities are not operating. The restaurant service was good, and the staff were accommodating to our taste preferences. Overall, it’s an acceptable place to stay, but the location, accessibility, and surroundings are not ideal.

Awesome Banyan Tree hotel in Jiuzhaigou. Not in its heyday anymore due to some reasons, the occupancy rates are very low, which gives us the chance to be the only room being served on one day for our stay, we feel honoured to have the whole Banyan Tree hotel serving us. Hope everyone can support the hotel, and hope this hotel can regain its glory days. View is really good in the mountains, with snow mountains in background during March.

Up on the mountain cloud and away from the crowd, relax for the rest of the day. Great resort for couple as well as family.

Requires 1000 RMB deposit per night, the hotel was very empty and most of it was ‘closed’ off. Very spooky at night exploring these areas. Staff were very friendly and the views were amazing. The restaurant didn’t serve western food options for dinner but breakfast was very good

Recommended Hotel For Relaxing and Chilling

After a day of walking tens of thousands of steps in Jiuzhaigou, we needed a nice place to rest, so we booked the Banyan Tree Jiuzhaigou. We weren't disappointed at all; it was fantastic! 👍 We had a wonderful rest, and the whole family enjoyed a bath, which was a great way to relieve our fatigue from exploring Jiuzhaigou. I'd always wanted to visit the Banyan Tree Jiuzhaigou, but the long detour from Songpan had kept me from making the trip. The opening of the Jiumian Expressway has made things much easier. I also really enjoyed the mountain road leading up to the hotel. The two-lane road is actually very safe, but you need to be careful if you see cattle or horses on the road. Those staying in the plains might need to be more cautious, though. While I was still in the Jiuzhaigou scenic area, the hotel called to check my estimated arrival time and warned me of the fog and the cattle and horses on the road. The lobby reception was impeccable, and my son loved their rose-scented hot drink. The hotel occupies a mountaintop all to itself. Satellite maps show several alpine lakes, a mountaintop forest, a golf course that seems to be closed but is in good condition, and a lawn in front of the lobby for activities. In good weather, you could easily spend more than a day there. [Optimization Suggestions] 1. I recommend replacing the toilet with a smart one next time you upgrade. I see there's a socket already reserved, so at worst, a smart toilet seat would be enough. It's inexpensive and effective. My family brought a disposable toilet seat, but it still sat cold. Also, the toilet seat is a bit crooked because we haven't called the customer service team to adjust it since we started taking baths. 2. The closet feels very dusty, probably from the bedding. I didn't dare use a bathrobe. 3. They only provided one absorbent bath mat in front of the bathtub. I suggest adding another in front of the shower. 4. Family travel will likely continue to be popular. If some twin rooms can have one bed with a 1.5-meter bed and a panda plush, the more expensive twin rooms will definitely be a hit. I think the space is sufficient. [Dining] For dinner, I ordered a Chinese set meal from Dianping.com. The breakfast was excellent, and the manager even packed me two paper bags of snacks for my trip back to Chengdu. We drove over for dinner and charged our phones. For breakfast, we walked inside the building, passing a long corridor lined with paintings. [Amenities] All the standard amenities were available, including four teas and essential oil diffusers. However, the facilities were a bit dated, and the TV wasn't very clear. The bathroom was very nice, with a bathtub, shower, double basin, and a separate toilet. The shower and toilet were both covered in patterned transparent glass, so the adults had to tell the children to stay away from the shower or poop. [Activities] I hadn't been following the official account before, but the housekeeper created a service group and shared promotional information. There were actually many activities during the National Day holiday. I attended a bonfire hot pot party that evening and took the kids to the chess and card room to play billiards. The weather was bad this time, but I'll try hiking to the top of the mountain next time. [Electric Vehicle Charging] There are two State Grid fast chargers and two slow chargers in front of the restaurant lobby, which is very convenient. [Impact of the unfinished building] The fog was so thick it was hard to see clearly. Even without fog, the mountain view rooms face the county's Grand Canyon, so even without fog, you couldn't see. The garden view rooms were slightly affected, but not a major issue. Unfortunately, by the time I checked out the next day, the mountains were shrouded in fog. I tried flying a drone, but couldn't see a thing. Furthermore, the humidity was so high that I was soaked when I came down. I'll save that regret for my next visit. The Jiumian Expressway is now closed, so the journey from Chengdu to the hotel should take a little over four hours. Besides Jiuzhaigou, you can also visit nearby Jiawuhai to see pandas and Jinhou Valley to see Sichuan golden monkeys.

The room was uniquely decorated, the balcony offered a beautiful view, and the hiking trails on the back hill were also very scenic. The hotel staff were very friendly, especially Xiao Zhao, who provided excellent service!

I was quite apprehensive before my trip because of the many subjective reviews I read online, but I want to take this opportunity to express my overall satisfaction with the stay – it exceeded my expectations. From the airport/train station pick-up and drop-off arrangements and room upgrades to the impeccable service and attitude of the hotel staff, everything was perfect. The hotel, perched atop an entire mountain, is spectacular and secluded, ideal for those looking to relax for a few days. Having stayed at many Banyan Tree hotels across the country, this one truly offers exceptional value for money. Highly recommend this hotel, located at the top of the mountain, with the most friendly staff and hiking view. They provide pick-up and drop-off service with excellent and experienced drivers. The scenery is superb; every time I draw back the curtains, I see misty mountains—it's the perfect hotel for a staycation. The receptionist, Xiao Liu, was warm and attentive; I was very satisfied.

A fantastic hotel! After visiting Jiuzhaigou, squeezing through crowds of tens of thousands of people to see the scenery and walking over 20,000 steps, we wanted a quiet hotel to rest. We saw the Banyan Tree on Ctrip, located on a mountaintop, and booked it out of curiosity. The mountain road was winding and dark, with occasional cows and horses standing in the middle of the road, adding to our sense of surprise and mystery. A bright moon hung in the sky, seemingly so close; it felt like our car was going to reach the moon! We felt both excited and a little scared. Finally, we arrived at the hotel, a truly idyllic experience. The young man who greeted us was very welcoming, helping us with our luggage. The front desk quickly checked us in, and Xiao Yang even personally escorted us to our room, bringing us fruit and catering to all our needs – very thoughtful! The room was clean and cozy. We stayed in an east-facing mountain view room, which was incredibly quiet. We slept soundly until dawn, and when we opened our eyes, wow! A sea of ​​clouds and sunrise – it was simply paradise! Our laughter echoed through the valley. It was truly breathtaking! Thumbs up for Banyan Tree! 👍👍👍
