Jiuzhaigou Yinghai Holiday Hotel (Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area Tourist Center)

Facilities: Very comprehensive. Cleanliness: Clean and hygienic. Environment: Right on Zangwang Square, about a 10-minute walk from Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. Service: Excellent service, they even upgraded my room.

The hygiene was absolutely terrible. There was trash behind the nightstand, which I only discovered when I was looking for the electric blanket's plug. The bathroom had a foul smell, and the electric blanket only heated the top half, not the bottom. I had booked for two nights, but I couldn't even stand one.

The room was clean with a great mountain view. The owner was super friendly and the hygiene was excellent, with a toilet seat cover and a smart toilet.

The room was very clean and well-equipped. It's close to the scenic area, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The tour bus stops at Zangwang Square, which is only about 200m from the accommodation, making it super convenient.

They have an elevator! Saw a lot of other places nearby without one. The room was spacious, and many trendy restaurants are close by. You can even walk to the scenic spots.

Getting here was easy; we took a big bus to Pengfeng Station, and it was a short walk across a bridge. Alternatively, you could get off at Zao Square. There are plenty of food options around the square, though the prices for stir-fried dishes were a bit high. However, some restaurants offer special deals that are very good value. I forgot to take a picture of the bathroom, but unfortunately, the room we stayed in had a strong odor coming from it on the second day. The scenic area was quite cold, but this place had air conditioning and an electric blanket, which was great. The cleaning staff were very prompt. The lady at the front desk was also very nice, so a big thumbs up to her! For the price, the value for money was excellent. It's also within a comfortable walking distance to the scenic area.

The hotel is located on the mezzanine level. The bed was incredibly hard, and there was a constant dripping sound in the room that I couldn't pinpoint. The water heater kept turning on and off with a noise, and even when the AC was off, its light stayed on, making the room uncomfortably bright. I barely slept all night. The only upside was having hot water, and it came out quickly since the heater was close, but the water pressure was still terrible... sigh.

Facilities: The faucets and showerheads were leaking, and the toilet seat was loose. Do they never maintain these basic facilities? Cleanliness: No obvious dirt or stains were visible, which was acceptable. Environment: The room was very cool, likely because it didn't get direct sunlight and the window faced an alley. However, this also meant there was no natural light, and the window only served for ventilation. Service: No proactive service was provided. I specifically asked for the smoke smell to be removed, but when I arrived, the room door and window were wide open, with flies/bees constantly flying in. It took me a long time to get them out. The complimentary bottled water was from Jingmailang, a brand I didn't even know made water before staying at this hotel. I would have accepted Ice Dew. Also, it clearly stated a free room upgrade, but I don't know what was upgraded, as it was identical to the room type I booked. Overall, it's worth the price. If you have realistic expectations for a hotel in this price range, you can consider staying here.
