I have stayed at this hotel many times and always enjoy my stays. Usually when I see Anna at the reception I feel happy. She’s very friendly and welcoming. This time it was Claire and Carrie that helped me for checking in. Both of them are very nice and helped to arrange a great room for me. Moreover, it’s so nice to have some relaxing time in the lobby lounge and drinking tea while having a beautiful view of Shanghai. The staff of the lobby lounge are also great and they remember my preference to drink tea.

This was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at! Everything was clean, the staff were kind, and the gym amenities were excellent. The breakfast was outstanding, with the pancake man making adorable bear-shaped pancakes for the kids. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel is located in the middle of Shanghai Fish, suitable for self-driving, but not convenient for public transportation.
If there is a vacancy, you can check in before 12 o'clock, and all hotel staff are polite. A deposit is required for check-in, but it is refunded in seconds when checking out. Unfortunately, the ”butler service” has never been seen.
The room facilities are new, various operating surfaces are spacious, and it is close enough to get out of bed to the bathroom. There are 4 bath towels and large and small towels. The balcony is slightly small.
At the entrance of the breakfast room, there is a reminder of dining congestion, which is indeed the case.
In addition, the hotel is not together with the conference center, and it is often seen that takeaways choose the wrong address.

A heartfelt thank you to my personal butler, Sharon. From check-in to every minor detail, her responses were incredibly prompt, and she was very attentive to our stay experience. The rest of the staff were also exceptionally friendly, making us feel incredibly welcome and at home 🫰.

The hotel boasts excellent views, and its proximity to Chegongmiao Metro Station exit (less than a 5-minute walk) was a major plus! Blue taxis are always readily available right outside the entrance.

Regarding the facilities: Being an older hotel (built in 2009), it understandably shows its age, but everything remains within acceptable standards. The shower temperature control could sometimes be inconsistent, fluctuating between too hot and too cold, which was a slight drawback 😥. Additionally, the room lighting was a bit dim, and the older television didn't support screen casting.

Despite these minor points, my overall experience was excellent. A huge thank you to Sharon and all the staff at JW Hotel; your warmth and patience genuinely made me fall in love with this city ❤️.

Although it's more of a business hotel, we stayed with our kids this time, primarily due to their excellent swimming facilities. The front desk staff, as often noted online, were indeed quite reserved and didn't smile much. Perhaps that's due to the hotel's business-centric focus? Being a Marriott member, I was granted a late check-out until 2 PM, which was a nice perk.

The swimming pool was excellent, as expected. Despite the 1.35-meter depth, the lanes were long enough for a comfortable swim. The gym was also quite impressive, fully equipped with everything you'd need.

The buffet dinner deserves a special mention; the ingredients were high quality, and they were generous with premium cuts and main dishes. The 5J ham was plentiful and free-flowing, the culinary team was highly professional, and the service was attentive and proactive.

Overall, a huge thumbs up! The JW standard truly shines through.

Our entire stay was nothing short of amazing, and we truly enjoyed every moment from the time we checked in until our departure. The room was well-prepared, comfortable, and maintained to a very high standard by the housekeeping team, who ensured everything was spotless and welcoming throughout our stay.

What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service and hospitality we received from the staff. Ajay at the front office was an absolute star – always approachable, polite, and extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and guided us with genuine care whenever we required assistance. His professionalism and warm attitude made a lasting impression on us.

Equally, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Simran and Priya in the kitchen, who made our dining experience truly delightful. They not only ensured that the food was excellent but also added a personal touch with their kindness and attentiveness. Every interaction with them made us feel valued as guests, and their efforts made our mealtimes so enjoyable.

Overall, the combination of excellent facilities and outstanding staff made this stay one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had. We sincerely appreciate the dedication and hard work of the entire team, and we will definitely be recommending this property to friends and family. Without a doubt, we look forward to returning in the future.

Special thanks upon checking in by Beah had organised a room for us straight away even though we we arrived before check in 
Upon checking out Nora who was very pleasant and a lovely smile upon leaving a good impression 
Another staff member Christinan who allowed us a later check out as our flight was not until later in the evening 
Will definitely be recommending this hotel to.whoever we know that will be visiting Dubai and this will be the only place to stay when we come back.
