Brilliant Hotel arrived midnight 3rd October for 14 nights, had room 201 with wrap around balcony. The side was east facing so got the sun rise, and the front balcony south facing so had sun all day. Room had 3 beds with bath / shower, free WiFi and air con saves you money and safe at reception only 10€ pool very large and good for swimming deep end 2.2m, breakfast nice with plenty of choice. Pool bar has excellent food at reasonable prices and George looks after you. 350m from the beach and a 5 to 10 min stroll to the centre but lots all the way along the road will defo be back next year

First time in Greece. We choose the Orion hotel from a mixture of reviews, pictures and gathering as much information on the area. The hotel was definitely more than I expected definitely deserves more than 3 *s . All Staff were fantastic, food at breakfast and dinner was great. Had lunch at the pool bar, the portion sizes were rather large that we ended up sharing. Room was basic but were great massive and they balcony view to pool was fantastic. There was nothing to much hassle for any of the staff if you asked for help they did there best to help and accommodate you. It was a fantastic holiday I would definitely recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back. 5 min walk to beach and 5/10 min walk to main ***** with bars and restaurants all the way up so definitely spoiled for choice.

Arrived early hours of the morning to check in. We were given rooms in the annexe across the bridge. That was ok but dragging cases (because it’s fairly steep) would have been a nightmare. However the nice chap on reception helped us. We have stayed here several times before so know the facilities. The breakfast in the restaurant is ok. No fruit juice so I just took my own in. Pool area is great and in September there were plenty of sunbeds. Pool bar exceptional as are the staff, particularly Maria. Great English breakfast can be bought here and they do lunch and dinner and serve snacks until midnight. Yes the rooms are basic but clean and definitely need upgrading, as do the bathrooms but are adequate for a 3*. Ten minute walk to bar street and five minutes to the beach. For the price, it’s worth staying here.

Stayed at the Orion for a week in September with my partner. Overall it was a positive experience but could have been better. Reception/Arrival: The flight times to Greece from the UK are very late (obviously not a fault of the hotel) but it means getting into the hotel in the early hours of the morning. When we arrived we were greeted by a member of staff on reception who told us we had a room for the night but then had to change in the morning, which, when you’ve been travelling all day and just want to unload your case to make the next morning easier is a bit of a chew. We were shown to a room (319) which could only be described as ‘cell like’ with no windows or a balcony. It was an adjoining room so obviously meant to be a second bedroom to one of the other rooms but as first impressions go it wasn’t a good one. We went down the next morning and were moved rooms. Overall the reception staff were friendly and helpful and on the last day we were able to keep the room on until 6pm at a cost of €45 (normal checkout is 11am) Rooms: Very basic and dated would be my overarching comment. All of the furniture looks like it has come from the 80’s but is still functional. The bed is a great size (as it’s two singles together with a mattress topper) so no complaints there. Mattresses are comfortable although the pillows are hit and miss. Some are soft but some are old and hard. Balcony is a great size and if you have a pool view it’s really nice. Now for my major bugbear and the reason I wouldn’t return to the Orion, the bathroom. They need ripping out and redoing. Both rooms that we had were the same. The bath is like some sort of half bath which is very deep but so hard to get a shower in. The curtain is right on your back and sticks to you, the shower head doesn’t affix to the wall properly and if you have it on full power it wildly sprays upwards. The tap in our first room had zero pressure and in the second room if you put it on full it sprayed out of the bottom of the tap. There’s a random plughole in the middle of the bathroom floor, presumable because they know you’ll get the floor soaking with the shower but when you’re sitting on the toilet it’s right where your left foot would go. I’ve stayed in 3* hotels before that have been far better appointed than this one, that’s for sure. Pool area: Fantastic. Plenty beds which the good ones are often taken early but always seems to be more than enough beds for guests. The pool is great for a dip and seems relatively clean and tidy. Pool bar: One of the best parts of the hotel. The staff are excellent, food is excellent and reasonably priced too. Plenty of drink options for round the pool if you need to cool off or rehydrate. There is a good amount of seating and a pool table (although the cues are falling apart). Restaurant: We stayed bed and breakfast and only used the restaurant once as weren’t not really breakfast people. Seemed to be a decent choice of food although the cold drinks were la

This hotel is a little gem. It was even better than i was expecting and the pictures advertised don't do it justice. The balconys are huge and spacious with table and chairs. Bed is huge. Grounds are clean and definitely better than a 3 star. Great location to shops, restaurants etc and the beach is 5 mins away. Would 100% stay here again.

The hotel accommodation is basic but very clean. The bathrooms could do with updating as they are rather outdated and tired. The pillows are old, hard and need replacing. The food was decent, although the milk was UHT and tasted disgusting in tea. I was very disappointed there was no juice at breakfast. There was only a choice of pineapple, orange squash or water. I have stayed at other 3 star hotels before and this has been provided. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was lovely and very clean.

This is our 1st visit to Falarki and after reading the reviews on trip advisor I feel we picked the right hotel for our 2nd week to Rhodes. We had room 222 on the 2nd floor whick was perfect for morning sunshine and shaded for evening which was a delight in hot weather the free air con and delicious buffet breakfast each morning was a delightful bonus. Lovely reception and bar staff where so nice and very hardworking cleaning ladies the location of the hotel is perfect for the beech and far enough away but still walking distance into a lively part off falaraki, all round we where hugely impressed with The Orion Hotel and hope to return again thank you so much for giving our party such a fantastic experience xx

Very positive and helping staff (Anastasia and staff from the restaurant and beach bar). Very clean and tidy rooms and suroundings. Plesant atmosphere and good hospitality. Delicious food - the cook is the master ;). Pool bar is affordable, not too expensive - in addition, happy hour every day 18-21h. Overall - great job, well done for the host.

Arrived at hotel at midnight after travelling all day to be told there was no room for me. Was told had to go and stay in their sister hotel which was ‘just 500 yards away’ and return on Saturday. No time given nor any communication from the hotel on Saturday to advise our room was ready had to guess all this for ourselves. The other hotel was lovely and the staff there went above and beyond. But it was not ‘just 500 yards away’ it was a 15 minute walk from Orion which we had to walk, up a dual carriage walk or pay for taxis ourselves!! When we did return to Orion we were given half board instead of just bed and breakfast although never used it as the food looked disgusting. We booked Orion as it was close to our friends and family as we were there for a wedding. I asked for a late check out due to the inconvenience which Orion caused for us. I was told by one receptionist that this was not his job, and by another that I got dinner and put up in a boutique hotel so they had given me more than enough and would not give me a late check out! The reception staff were completely rude if I wanted to stay in the other hotel 15 minutes out of the way I would have booked it but I didn’t I booked Orion only to be treated like I was a total inconvenience by the staff. If you book a hotel you expect to stay there, not be out of money on taxis for Orion’s mistake which they couldn’t even apologise for!! The same also happened to my cousin how can you book a hotel 8 months in advance and when you arrive there is no room for you! But they were ok at taking your hard earned money.
