Awful, We arrived at the KRESTEN palace on Tuesday the 20th of may, Where shown to our rooms, and just as the porter was leaving he received a message that we had the wrong key, he proceeded to remove the key from the wall power switch, which sent the room into darkness, as we had no lights and the hallway to our room was not lit, I turned to pass something to my wife and hit my leg on the corner of the very badly designed beds, I tore a piece of flesh and skin from my leg, 4cm long and 3cm wide and felt blood gushing down my leg and onto my trainers and the floor, I asked my wife to help me get my jeans off so I could do something, and as she helped me take off my jeans a lump of skin and flesh fell onto the floor. The porter asked if I needed a plaster??!! I explained it was worse than that and could he get a first aider?, there where none on site, or employed by the hotel. My wife stemmed the bleeding and the porter then arrived with, a carrier bag of ice and a first aid kit that had a bandage, a couple of plasters and a burns gel in it, all this for an hotel the catered for a few hundred guests! We then left the room and decided as I had an injury we would stay on site and eat and drink at the poolside bar, I ordered the gyros plate my wife had a ceaser salad that she said was delicious, whilst my gyros plate was stone cold as where the fry’s that came with it, I carried on as I didn’t want to spoil the holiday and took a drone from my icy cold mythos beer I was looking forward to, this contained some foreign object that when I spat out I discovered was a ripped open sugar sachet that had been frozen onto the glass, delicious…… We didn’t bother with the pool restaurant again. Breakfast was pleasant but certain items where cold, Brussels sprouts and carrots are really not my kind of thing at 8am To summarise poor customer service, poor food,definitely not a 4 star establishment, but if you decide to book,I’d say save your money book an apartment or villa in pefkos and you’ll have a far superior holiday.
