Chrispy Waterpark Resort - All Inclusive

Thank you to chrispy for an amazing stay at their resort. We arrived on the 16th September 2024, easy check in although I did find the gentleman at reception quite rude, didn’t put out all inclusive bands on just give us them, didn’t help with luggage but never mind, as for all the other staff at reception and staff around the resort was great, very friendly, polite and respectful. Nice water park for the kids and also the adults, not far from Platanias either just a short bus journey down there (€2 per adult one way). Rooms was cleaned every day, everything you needed and if there was something you needed, reception was helpful to help, nicest young lady at reception was so kind and helpful and made you fell very welcome, thank you so much. The all inclusive is pretty good, although we was very fussy so we did eat out a few times as not our kind of food, but plenty to choose from and they always cleaned up after people, we always left our plates stacked and tided up after ourself as that’s how Iv always been taught to leave the table, the chips at the all inclusive need assessing as they wasn’t one portion that was great. Not sure how long they’ve been left or heated up numerous of times but they wasn’t edible in my eyes, nothing will always be perfect these are just my opinions and being as honest as I can (still rate the hotel and received top service) the snack bar was good, pizza and other bits to be had, drinks always available and sandwiches in the fridge which our little boy loved a cheese sandwich at lunch. Not sure what else I can say, I would recommend the hotel to anyone, a holiday is what you make it! Thank you Chrispy for a great family holiday with top service from your staff. Hats off to you. 1st off all absolutely shocking check in.. We had our all Inclusive bands before we had even gave them our names! Then we checked in no one helped us with bags or anything! We got showed to bottom on the stairs where we had to carry 3 large cases 2 hand luggage and 2 kids ! 2nd the room we got checked into well! There are better prison cells there was one window ( balcony door) so the room was that dark and small .. it was awful I went down to reception and told them the room was not what we booked it was absolutely awful. The bath tub wasn't even big enough for my kids to sit in. They did move us room 3 days later to a bigger room with more light which was covered in ants. The fridge leaked water and didn't work properly. The beds only got changed every 3 days gave us fresh towels every day expect Monday. The pools was dirty no chlorine in them at all The floor in baby pool was very sharp / rough Floors are very slippery around pool areas. There is fake grass but it's very slugie when gets wet You have life guards always on phones hardly watching kids coming down slides The food was absolutely disgusting hardly anything for kids ! They don't cater for English at all! What ever food u had at dinner was same at night ! It was ridiculous. Its all cold and taste all fishy... We tried the al carte restaurant in hotel as u get 1 free visit and that was awful! Cold .. We didn't even finish meals and we left! We was spending around 40 /50 € a day in shop on crisps / sweets / chocolate for kids to eat and they was hungry! They have lived on pasta or nuttella on bread at night for 11 days ! It's a joke pay for a 4 star hotel thinking gna be amazing and it's absolutely shocking it's more like a 2 star ! Kids club is a green table in corner near pool! The kids play area floor is that hot in day burns your feet! So little kids was crying cause it was hot ! Hardly any entertainment in day to break it up so days are so long ! No games for kids to keep entertained .. most place we have been to have archery/ darts/ shooting / or things for them to do. It was a very disappointing experience to be honest There was a few times my kids wanted to come home ! Which when on hoilday do kids want to come home! Not very often! Whilst we was there was 5 people that know off that got hurt ! 1 girl split her eye open ! 2 people cut their arms open 1 women ripper her toe nail off My son smashes his head off yellow slide massive lump and lifeguard didn't even know I had to get him so ice and that! There was 2 times where there was poo in kids pool which maintaince man just come and got it out didn't even close pool / clean pool or anything! Would never ever go back or recommend to anyone ! Staff room right next to shop for everyone to see .. eating what ever is left from the food they fed us !

Like lots of others, after reading reviews I was rather anxious about this holiday so I feel if I leave an honest review with much detail this will help others a lot. We arrived around midnight, check in was quick reception staff lovely and welcoming. They had kept some food aside for the guests arriving late which was a nice touch, this was mainly salad which did the job, however the 6 year old wasn't impressed. We got up around 9am and were able to get sunbeds, we preferred to be around the water park area to watch the kids on the slides then we could walk around the corner to the main pool so we found this a great spot. Food - honestly this was not the best and I never had any food that was hot, it was always luke warm. You could get a full English, cereal, fruit, toast and pastries at breakfast which was probably the best meal, we found that food was very random, always the same side dishes, rice, potatoes, chips then one day there might be more pasta dishes so found it hard to make a meal, there wasn't much choice or variety. We chose to eat out most nights after getting bored of the food after 2 or 3 days. Restaurant is also very warm you wont be able to sit long for a relaxing meal. We found peoples manners were also a dissapointment, we saw people dripping wet in thong bikinis I appreciate this is not the hotels fault but maybe a sign saying beachwear not to be worn? People were licking food of the main spoon, using their fingers to take food even though there are tongs for each dish, ice cream station is a mess, people not washing the scoop so all flavours are mixed together. There is a kids section for the buffet but this is pretty much the same every day, chicken nuggets, chips, spaghetti/pasta and sauce. The snack bar is great they have pizza, chicken nuggets chips and a fridge full of wraps, sandwiches, pasta and fruit pots. Before arriving we had upgraded to a swim up room after reading some reviews regarding dirty pool and no sunbeds, this was well worth the upgrade, kids loved it. Although don't expect to get much sun unless you are actually in the pool, the sun does not shine on the terraced part where the sunbeds are. Room was lovely and clean and everything worked correctly, not many plug sockets available though so we had to unplug lamps, we feel the layout of the room was a bit strange, walking in the main door was straight into where the children slept and the sliding doors to the pool were also in this room, high locks so not to worry that children will be escaping for a midnight dip, the only wardrobes were also in this room and to the right was the bathroom, which was large with shower/bath and also a shower cubicle. Main bedroom was to the left of the childrens room which meant you were always having to pass through the children's room to go to wardrobe, bathroom or access outdoors. Might I add, beds are very comfortable. We ate at the al e carte restaurant once which was not great, this is located at the top pool which

Arrived late door to room left open all day tones off flys and mosquitos to kill before we could sleep. The standard room is very basic and not what we expected fridge not working, only 1 plug socket in the whole room with A/C unit plugged in so could not use asked reception for an extension cable which was very old and tired brittle from the sun plugged it in and blew the electric in the room. Upgraded to a better room which was a decent standard but should be the standard room. Received an apology cake to the room for a supposed birthday a man brought the cake to the room knocked but did not wait for us to answer we were sleeping he let him self in before we could get out of bed which was very uncomfortable for my family. We then went to dine out at the A la carte restaurant which was not a A la carte experience it was food from the buffet down stairs not good service either. We were offered to keep the room by the manager as an apology for our experience of the holiday which was nice would cost €60 otherwise. Upon the last day they tried to get us to sign a disclaimer for this we refused as this form released the hotel of all liability. Hotel quite tired looking and buffet food not great either nothing much was warm Best food was pizza on the days it wasn’t burnt underneath. Don’t usually leave reviews but leaving today and the only thing we will miss is the sun

This holiday was one of the best family holidays we have ever been on! We flew from Manchester and after a 1 hour transfer (maybe a little more) we were welcomed into the hotel. The receptionist walked us to our rooms which was a lovely touch rather than getting a map with arrows drawn on it. The WiFi password was displayed in reception which is a must for the kids as all parents will appreciate! We only left the hotel on one day just to explore the area. Maria on reception called us a taxi and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great day out. The water park is amazing and despite some review is very safe. The hotel has everything you need for a great family holiday, the food was fab the pools were clean and the staff and entertainment was amazing. The weather when we were there was in the high 30s the apps will tell you it’s low 30s but it’s not so bring plenty of sun cream and get in that pool. I can’t fault the hotel for an all inclusive family holiday! Ignore this bad reviews where people take pictures of broken tiles or a plug socket that’s broke, if you’re having a good time with your family who even cares about those minor things. You get what you pay for people need to remember that. Highly recommended and we’ll be returning for sure!

The resort’s facilities and rooms are clean; the waterpark is fun for the children (and even adults). I traveled all inclusive with my family incl two boys aged 12 and 8 and honestly, I would’ve liked to have two large pools in the resort so one can be less crowded and full of plastic inflatable toys and kids. The food in the buffet was average and basically the same for lunch and dinner during the two weeks we stayed there! This was a major minus for us. In addition, the drinks in the bar were quite basic (sugary) and tasted pretty much the same regardless of mix. In my opinion, there could have been a menu with higher quality beverages for purchase if guests request that. I benefitted from the SPA services three times during our stay. The full body experience by Maria was very nice and I would recommend it. Only negative is that you can hear all the noise from outside despite the relaxing music. All in all, I think this could have been fine for one week, not longer.
