My wife and I stayed here at the end of a self-guided bicycle tour. The hotel facilities were very nice. Everything was clean, breakfast was delicious and beds were comfortable. But, the primary reason I'm writing this review is the absolutely outstanding customer service we were provided. We mailed a package on our last day in Italy. There were multiple problems of our causing with that mailing. The hotel staff repeatedly assisted us in solving our issues with the package. They continued to assist for over a month after we left the hotel. They had zero responsibility for our package, but helped us each time we emailed them. We greatly appreciated their assistance and wanted everyone to know about these good people.

Really lovely location near one of main squares. Smart room with view of Slovenian hills. Highlight was breakfast with delicious cakes and eggs on terrace looking across to distant hills. Seemed that used for local business people to stay. Found nice swim spot near river. Only slight reservation was that it felt a little impersonal, which may have been as we only stayed one night.

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of a cycling trip around the area, we found the staff delightful and helpful. It is a family owned hotel, and has been in the same family for 80 years. Breakfast is served by the staff, no buffet, local San Danielle prosciutto cheese, eggs anyway you want. We had half board and evening meals were provided by a restaurant in the main square a few minutes away, which worked very well, you got to see what’s happening and the menu had enough selection to keep you happy for several visits The cycling routes in Collio through the vineyards were wonderful, into Slovenia for a day, all very beautiful

Accommodated the entire hotel for my daughters wedding in August 2022. The hotel staff couldn't do enough to help. In the run up to the wedding they ensured everything was expertly arranged and the check in process was quick and easy. The staff are amazing, polite and so friendly nothing is to much trouble. They even bought the Newlyweds a wedding gift! How generous and thoughtful Breakfast was perfect and the views from the terrace are incredible. The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is centrally located to explore Cividale centre and quick access to the train station for day trips away from the centre. Highly recommend this hotel if looking for a superb location in a beautiful town with traditional Italian values. Simply perfect.

Al Pomo d’Oro is perfectly located in the lovely town of Cividale, steps away from the pretty vibrant town square. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared and served on the sunny outdoor terrace. Highly recommend staying here for a base to explore the region!

Ambiente accogliente, ottima cucina, pulito, servizio buono. Porzioni discrete. I prezzi medi. Locale vicino al centro della città. Chiuso il mercoledì per il resto sempre aperto sia x pranzo e cena. Bello per cene aziendali.

Menù tradizionale per un ristorante tipico. Accogliente e cortese, forse un po’ buio. Mangiato un tortino di melanzane e porcini. Buono. Tacchinella coi funghi tenera anche se molto condita. Apprezzabile anche se con molti * (prodotto surgelato)

Gleich vorab: Das Restaurant und das sog. Hotel sind hier zweierlei Schuhe! 1) Das Restaurant: - dörflich-gemütlich, sehr sauber, viele Seidenblumen u. ä., Wiener Philharmoniker im Hintergrund, - kleine aber feine Speisekarte, - gute Hausweine (sowohl rot als auch weiß), - wirklich leckere, frisch zubereitete Speisen, - sehr höfliche Bedienung (nur Italienisch). Als Lokal - absolute Empfehlung! 2) Das sog. Hotel: - abgenutzter, schmutziger Teppichboden in den Fluren und auf den Stiegen, - Zimmer sind dermaßen hellhörig, als hätten sie gar keine Wände und Türen, - WiFi auf dem Zimmer - ein Witz, ein ganz großer Witz (an der Rezeption unten geht's gerade noch), - abgenutzte, billige Zimmereinrichtung, - TV mit nur ein paar italienischen Grundkanälen - das war's, - staubiger, klappriger Kleiderschrank, - Kühlschrank ist leer und abgeschaltet, stinkt nach Schimmel und ist auch verschimmelt, - verschimmelter Boden in der Duschkabine, - großer, rostiger (offensichtlich - alter) Sprung im Waschbecken, - Frühstück??? Ein Hohn! Noch nicht mal billiger Hotel-Käse oder Schinken, kein Brot, kein Gebäck, kein Müsli, keine Milch, kein Mineralwasser… Abgepackter, staubig und alt schmeckender Zwieback, abgepackte Croissants - auch nicht gerade frisch, Joghurt, Cornflakes, Honig, Marmelade, paar Mandarinen und zwei Kuchen aus Fertigmischung - das war's. - und der grösste "Witz" ist der, dass das ganze Vergnügen € 85,00 pro Nacht und Doppelzimmer kostet!!!! Wir kamen gerade aus Udine, wo wir in einem erstklassigen, echten 4**** Sterne Hotel (s. meine Rezension dort), mit einem königlichen Frühstück, in einem superben Doppelzimmer für € 79,00 übernachteten! Nein, das ist wirklich kein Witz mehr. Für DAS Geld ist es ein Betrug! Empfehlung: Meiden!
