Hotel Forza Kanazawa

Kanazawa|1.3km from city centre
There are 3 good points. 1st, the location is very good, as it was walking distance from/to most of the places I wanted to visit. It's about a ~10min walk from Kanazawa Station, so no hassle getting to the hotel when you arrive. It's about ~10-15min walk to Kanazawa Castle (金沢城) and Kenrokuen (兼六園). The Omicho Market (近江町市場) is literally right across the street, so you can easily hop over there to either start or end your day with some sushi. For the more distant places, there are nearby bus stops to get to areas like the Higashi Chaya district (ひがし茶屋街) or the museums. (Though if you prefer walking, Higashi Chaya district is still walkable at about ~15-20mins). 2nd, the room was quite spacious for a solo traveler, as compared to the typical business hotel. It has a unit-type toilet+bathroom, but it was spacious enough that you can change in there (I think it can even fit 2 people at once). The room was very clean and tidy, and since all rooms are non-smoking, the place doesn't smell funny. The room provides complete amenities like the hot water kettle, a ref, and enough sockets for charging your gear. 3rd, the breakfast buffet was delicious. The selection of both western and local japanese dishes made it worth its price. There is unlimited coffee too, which is available even outside the buffet (great for people who can't go throughout the day without coffee). The staff speaks English well, so no worries if your Japanese skills aren't that great like me. All in all, would gladly stay here again if I find myself in Kanazawa :)

Immediately from Omicho Market. FamilyMart is also close. Check-in takes time due to the slopes of national support. Especially when the person who is checking in the luggage overlaps with the check-in, the order becomes messy even if it is lined up. If possible, when you leave your luggage before check-in time, you can just finish writing and explaining what you want to check in, and then have them go out, and if you leave the key and luggage when you come back, check-in will be possible. It will be smooth. Also, if you put on the luggage delivery lane and the doorbell, you will not overlap check-in out and luggage storage. The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms are spacious. It is good that the toilet and shower room are separated. The heating effect is good and the bed comfort can sleep well. There are many outlets and it is easy to use. There is an electric control in the room on the bedside, which is good. There is a lot of storage space, and mineral water is free. The downside is that the amount of hot water in the washroom is small and difficult to use. It is good if the hanger rack space is single, but it is narrow and difficult to use if it is double. I want outside shoes to go to the bath. The most painful thing was that there were no chairs at the working desk, so it was difficult to use when writing on a computer at work. Why don't you have a chair even though you have a desk? The refrigerator is weakly cold. The limoncon reaction on the tablet is bad and cannot be used. The large communal bath also has an open-air bath, which warms the whole body comfortably, and there is also a sauna. Some of the locker keys are broken, and when you try to close the key, the keys will be removed. There are about two lockers with the same phenomenon. I had a hard time opening and closing. Breakfast is Western style and many of them go well with bread. Speaking of Kanazawa, some people get tired of Japanese food because it is seafood, so I think Western food is good. I think the content is good. The problem is that the content will not change if it is a consecutive night.

Hotel Vista Kanazawa

Kanazawa|2.4km from city centre
About 7 minutes walk from JR Kanazawa Station. After passing through the underground passage at the west exit of the station, walk straight with the station behind and climb the stairs and walk straight further, you will find the hotel on your left. It may be a little difficult on a rainy day. There are about 7-Eleven next to two houses. There are few restaurants as far as the eye can see, so it is on the station or east exit side. The hotel is clean and you can leave your luggage before check-in. Check-in was smooth and the response was good. The elevator will automatically press the button on the floor of the room when you hold the card key. A card key enters the room and the morning public bath. The room was single but the bed was spacious and I could sleep slowly. Because the air conditioner was at this time, there was only heating and air blowing, and the inside of the room was hot, so it was difficult to adjust the room temperature because it was not possible to put the air conditioner. Wi-Fi and desk are large, and there are two outlets on the desk, which is perfect for work. The refrigerator is small but can be used enough. There is also an outlet on the bedside. It is good to be able to do all the electricity in the room. There are 3 hangers in the closet, but there is no shelf to store other clothes, so it is inconvenient for long-term stays. Also, the wash basin is narrow and there is no towel hanger (it is caught by the knob of the shower booth door, but the foot wipe mat has to be moved to the shelf above the toilet. Very unusable because the shower booth knob is low. There are two large baths: inner bath and sleeping bath. There were not many washing places to wait, so I was able to spend comfortably. There is a vending machine outside the public bath, but only cash. The breakfast venue was on the 2nd floor and the windows were wide and bright. The meal on the first day entered 8, and the number of items was reasonable, I felt that there were a lot of fried foods overall. The good thing is that there are two types of burgers. On the second day, I heard that it was better to even spend time because there were many guests, so I entered the store for 8 Time 45 Then, unlike the first day, the number of products was small, and I was disappointed that there were no tongs or sauces set for each dish. I felt that it was better to use it early even if it was a little crowded. Check out was smooth. After checking out, you will keep good things. If you stay for consecutive nights, it is best to stay without breakfast

Daiwa Roynet Hotel KANAZAWA-MIYABI

Kanazawa|2.29km from city centre
Family 4 I stayed with a person. Twin 2 Room! It was a very new hotel and nice. The room was compact, but very functional and well designed. The TV was large and it was convenient to get various information in the hall. Especially good was the arrangement of the washroom, toilet, and bath! The washroom space is large and I don't feel any oppression at all. It was a clean and refreshing impression. It was such a nice hotel, but there were some points I was interested in. It is the narrowness of the public part. First of all, it is a large communal bath! I was looking forward to it because it has a large communal bath, but this hotel is a hotel where 177 room maximum 389 can be stayed. Of course, it is distributed, but there are only 7 washrooms and 2 wash basins. The lockers are vertically 7 3 columns. At the peak of the evening, because the locker was vertically long, 3 people filled all the front of the locker, changed clothes and wiped the body, and it was very crowded. Also, the wash basin was waiting in line, so I was in trouble. Also, there were few washrooms and there was a waiting. I couldn't enter slowly, so when I went late at night, the bath towels that should have been left were not replenished, and there were only a few towels. Also, on the contrary, it seems that towels are overflowing and protruding from the place where towels are put. It was a pity that the hydration machine was not inspected without a cup. The TV in the room is crowded, so it is recommended to check and use it. Next is the restaurant! Breakfast here seems to be filled immediately due to capacity due to reservations. I couldn't make a reservation, so I had breakfast at a nearby hotel. I feel the imbalance of the restaurant size against the capacity. It was a really nice hotel as far as accommodation was concerned. However, I felt that there were difficulties in the public area. If it is a weekday, you can experience the large communal bath and delicious breakfast!

Ōmichō Market

Asadaya

Asadaya

Kanazawa|0.1km from Ōmichō Market
We wanted to experience one traditional ryokan during our month in Japan, and we could not have made a better choice than Asadaya. Our welcome was gracious and following a tea service we were shown to our tatami room. We had just spent a week in a western-style hotel in Tokyo, and this room could not have been more different. When the door closed, we sat on the floor staring at each other in our simple suite, and my husband said ”Are you sure this was a good idea?” At that moment, I wasn't sure. Neither of us had experienced such simple accommodations before and we're not bed and breakfast types. But we changed our minds quickly when we allowed the peaceful zen of the place to take over. We fell in love with every single thing about our experience: our beautiful and simple suite, the comfortable beds (made extra long for two tall guys), wearing yukatas, enjoying the family bath (we never even used the in-room shower), afternoon tea, and the over-the-top kaiseke meals served on the most gorgeous dinnerware you'll ever see. It's hard to put into words the level of personal and respectful service we experienced throughout our three night stay. By the time we checked out, we felt like honored guests and close family, both at the same time. As we continued our travels through Japan, we met several natives of Kanazawa who live in other cities. Each of them knew of Asadaya by reputation, and each said the same thing: ”Asadaya is famous in Japan. Asadaya is well-known as one of the finest ryokans. You're so lucky to have stayed there.” Indeed, we were fortunate to experience this traditional ryokan experience. We'll be forever be grateful to sixteenth generation owner Qta, his mom Mrs. Asada, and everyone who hosted and cared for us. We're happy to have made their friendships and to experienced Japan through their hospitality. Tips: Don't miss the D.T. Suzuki Museum, one of the finest pieces of contemporary architecture on the planet and an equal of Mies' Barcelona Pavilion. If you're in town long enough, be sure to visit one of Qta's restaurants. We enjoyed phenomenal teppanyaki at Rokkakudo. Kanazawa is a wonderful small city. We highly recommend a multi-night stay to have the time to relax into it and enjoy all it has to offer.

Utaimachi

Kanazawa|0.04km from Higashi Chaya District
————————— The modern ”ryokan” is located in the center of Kanazawa in a beautiful, typical and quaint neighborhood where you can breathe the air of authentic Japan. We were greeted at the entrance by friendly staff who immediately made us feel ”at home.” After offering us a very good local beer and assigning rooms the girl who received us was very nice and friendly explaining the major points of interest in the area and recommending some excellent restaurants. As for the accommodation, what can I say.... A true wonder!!! The perfect union of modernity and tradition, in a cozy environment you can find the comforts of the present (smart TV, wi-fi, smart boiler, microwave, washing machine) and the wonderful customs of the past. Wood, tatami and cork adorn all the rooms in which you can walk, of course, strictly barefoot. A dream!!! Sleeping in a futon (typical Japanese bed) was a great experience, I assure you that besides being very comfortable it is relaxing to be able to lie down feeling the heat held by the tatami mats. Last but not least the PERFECT breakfast!!! Prepared with care and precision, you can enjoy both sweet and savory and all served with juice and coffee/tea. The attention to detail is nothing short of sensational and lovely, plentiful dishes and superlative quality. To conclude: wonderful place, excellent experience, recommended and absolutely to do again!!!

OMO5 Kanazawa Katamachi by Hoshino Resorts

Stayed here for 8 nights as we used Kanazawa as the base to travel to different areas. This hotel just opened 6 months ago so everything is very new. It is very central - 25 min walk or 15 min bus from Kanazawa Station or taxi around 1100 yen; right by Korinbo shopping area with lots of restaurants. It’s 8 minute walk to 21st century museum, Kanazawa castle and Kenrokurn Garden. I had a twin room and it’s very spacious. There is a full tub and shower and a separate toilet area. Highly recommended

Kanazawa Capsule Hotel Musashimachi

I will stay at this capsule hotel every time I go to Kanazawa. Even if the destination is not Kanazawa. Sometimes I will stay at this capsule hotel when I go to Kanazawa and Taro Naizuki. The front desk service is very friendly and the facilities are relatively complete. It is much quieter than the youth hostel. .

Torifito Hotel &Pod kanazawa
4.3/5166 Reviews
I stayed in Nikko Kanazawa that I stayed the day before, but I stayed without a choice, but a pod type hotel that is not comparable. But the correspondence of midnight use was more than a long established hotel. I heard about Kanazawa, a nice senior at the front desk, but I wanted to go to Kanazawa's good information and to go to Kanazawa. I was taught, Nagomi and ★★★★★ I ate at a long established hotel, but compared to that, the price is less than half price, the dishes are ten times delicious, and the cozy is very good. If you give the name of the front desk, you can't get it special 🍴🈵😆 If you want to enjoy Kanazawa, it's best to ask at this hotel.
