The downside is that the amount of hot water in the washroom is small and difficult to use. It is good if the hanger rack space is single, but it is narrow and difficult to use if it is double. The hotel has a great style and design aesthetic. There are many wonderful details that make this a great place to stay. The hotel is well located between the fish markets and castle and a short drive from the rail station. All the main sights are in walking distance from the hotel. The entrance is very subtle and hints at the discoveries to come as you enter the hotel proper. The lobby/breakfast area looks amazing has great examples of local art and crafts spread around as well as snacks and drinks. There is a screened entry to each room which a nice detail. A compact but beautifully designed room awaits. Everything is catered for and has its own place. The spa bath was so good. We has a wonderful stay. The staff are efficient and friendly. Some were not always confident with english but language was no barrier. All are dressed in traditional clothes and despite being a modern hotel the service felt very traditional. The breakfasts were great with a choice between Japanese and Western. The local choice was best. Would recommend the UAN if you are in Kanazawa.

The room was very clean and close to Kanazawa Station. I was traveling alone and booked as a single person, but it was a sufficient environment for a room without meals. The people at the front desk were also kind.
