Multiple stays, the best choice in the industrial area. The price is expensive. The breakfast is very rich and the western food is very rare. The level of the waiter needs to be improved, and the individual temper is tempered. There are many foreign companies in Europe and the United States.

Staff courteous room overlooked pool and beach and was very clean. Thank you! Staff in restaurant very busy and it was difficult to get attention sometimes. First meal we had was not a good experience but this was handled well and chef prepared a lovely meal next night and waiter was very attentive. Location and setting cannot be faulted it was very relaxing and beach was deserted! Will go back for longer stay next time and explore surrounding areas.

Many things have changed here and the resort totally misses that WOW factor. We had visited way back in Sep 2017 and were super impressed with the hospitality, service and everything else. But this time, there was a lot that left us disappointed ! To begin with, the place doesnt look clean anymore and looks run down. Lots of cobwebs on most walls and ceilings. The rooms needed better cleaning too. The housekeeping (or for that matter most of the staff) seemed overworked and not in their best moods. We could see their reluctance in providing the service requested for. The restaurant was the star of the Intercontinental earlier. I can never forget the happy and obliging chefs Indrashish, Teja and so on from many years ago. This time around, the chef/staff were a bit clueless about our Vegan food requirements (despite having clearly mentioned during booking) and dint seem too keen to make something for us ... atleast in the first couple meals. They subsequently seem to warm up and obliged to dish out some items for us. That said, would like to make a mention of the smiling and helpful staff Sreelakshmi, Susmita, Pallavi, Adi narayana ... thanks folks. Chips and rusk everyday at high tea ! Really ! The beds in the rooms seemed a bit overly soft and needs an overhaul. The security staff at the beach were practically non-existent except during some parts of the day. This could potentially prove dangerous especially in times of high tides !! Same with the pool as well .. some attentive staff here would add to a better experience. The Amrtam spa was the saving grace. Puii, you were wonderful ! My kids and I enjoyed the spa experience. The kids activity center seemed run down too and there were no activities to keep the children occupied despite it being the peak Christmas holiday season. Overall, not a place we would return to unless some magic happens and the place is turned around for the good.

The 1st impression i got was that this was a very busy place...there were guests checking in & checking out & swarming around the lobby, pool areas & that is always a validation of sorts anyways. The resort has an absolutely amazing pool - it just goes on & on & on...& has an even depth of 4ft across the entire length so extremely kid friendly (there are small splash pools by the side for the smaller ones). They offer chilled syrups / soft drinks from time to time, all free of charge to guests in the pool & that just adds to the 'feel good' factor. The rooms if you get the pool facing ones are really nice - there is a bath tub in the shower, the rooms are huge & what's more, everything in the minibar is free! That is definitely going to spoil the benchmark for others in this business!! The resort serves high tea at sunset which is almost a full dinner - again, these guys will reset the norm here in Mahabalipuram! There are few areas of improvement: 1. There are only 2 changing rooms next to the pool & they STINK! There was also a shower pressure problem 2. The breakfast, though with a lot of options leaves one feeling a little underwhelmed. Scope for improvement there though the chef was very kind to offer us fresh fruit juice in stead of what was served on the counter which was very watery. 3. The staff, some of them are new & really messed up the initial room allotment (gave my super senior citizen parents a room on the 1st floor), though it was sorted soon after. 4. Hygiene, tidiness can be improved on. Servers were wearing soiled aprons at high tea, the serving counters were messy etc. Overall, enjoyed the vacation & time out with my parents & family - would recommend this, in particular to travellers who like a busy, cheery place!

Over crowded on weekends, waiting 30 min for breakfast. Even the food quality affected due to the crowd . Felt a burnt flavour eating bread, when I looked back it was burnt. No one taking care of the food kept outside in the waiting hall for breakfast.
