A good hotel with beautiful and incredible views. Service is great , but there are were some difficulties. Location is inconvenient , maybe buses go there , but i got there by tuk-tuk from Kandy . Also i had some problems with wifi , there wasn’t connection in my room , so i had to use my own Gb . If you love insects , you have to share with them your room 😁 or vice versa.

A Hidden Gem – Perfect Honeymoon or Quiet Getaway This place is truly a hidden gem. It was the perfect spot for a honeymoon couple or anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway. Travel tip: From Colombo, you can catch a direct bus to Nuwalapitiya. We didn’t know this and went via Kandy, which made the journey longer than necessary. If we had known, we would have taken the direct bus—it’s much easier. Ps:The bus ride is phenomenal—very beautiful views along the way and very cheap. The property is located on a hill and is naturally beautiful, surrounded by trees and birds whose songs make the atmosphere even more serene. It does get a bit cold at night, but it was the perfect kind of chilly—cozy and refreshing. Our room had an amazing view, making it even more special. The stay itself was perfect for our honeymoon: very cozy, comfortable, and clean. The staff were amazing, especially one gentleman at the restaurant (I didn’t catch his name, but I want to mention him). He went above and beyond to help us and was incredibly sweet and warm-hearted—it really made our stay special. A small note: we noticed the pool looked a bit dirty, which some other reviews also mentioned. However, it was clarified in the pool area that they use natural spring water without chemicals, so this is expected and actually a great eco-friendly approach. But This hotel needs some love because this is a very nice place. Another small note: there were some insects, like cockroaches, but that’s expected when staying on a hill in the middle of nature surrounded by trees. Overall, this was a truly wonderful experience and a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!!

On August 4th, we checked into the Tea Cottage Hotel, located in the mountains. We had a room with a stunning view of the forest river. It's an incredible experience to wake up and fall asleep with such a view. The room itself was spacious and clean, with minimal insects, although I expected otherwise in such a wild location. We visited the hotel during the rainy season, but the tropical downpour only added to the atmosphere of our trip. The downpours were intense, but short-lived and did not affect the comfort of the trip in any way. If you're traveling to this place in August, it's best to bring an umbrella or raincoat. The only caveat is that after the downpours, leeches emerge and can bite. They're not dangerous, but they can cause some discomfort. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The airline we were flying with lost our luggage, and the hotel staff helped us coordinate everything to ensure it was delivered on time, for which we are extremely grateful! Special thanks to the hotel owner for a fascinating tour of the tea plantation and a warm welcome. The food is varied, so even the pickiest person will find something to eat. You can always request a slight modification to suit your taste, for example, asking for no sugar in the juices—that's a huge plus! It's important to understand that this is a quiet, secluded hotel for those who want to clear their heads and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were delighted, will recommend the hotel to our friends, and will definitely visit again.

We very much enjoyed our visit to this tea plantation. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The first day we had a Tuk Tuk ride around the estate and to the waterfall. The next day we did the tea picking and making experience. Our guide spoke perfect English and was very helpful.
