I booked five rooms for family coming in for my son‘s graduation. Front desk staff was yelling at me and telling me she’s not sure she can have all the rooms ready. The hotel lobby as well as our rooms smelled like there was a sewer problem. The smell was there"

"Such a beautiful place to stay. I loved the location as well. We stayed in the Mayan room. I loved everything about it. The o my thing if I could change it would be little more space in the rooms. We found that we was dancing around each alot and could hardly move to get luggage situated. So that part left me little flustered for lack of space in that aspect. Otherwise I have absolutely no complaints. Was very clean and the bed and pillow was like sleeping on clouds. Loved that very much. Was so very comfy and cozy. Loved how they bring your room service with morning breakfast that was nice. The stay felt romantic and overall we had a great time and I would definitely stay again. Im sure we will be returning for yet another anniversary. We was here celebrating our 25yr anniversary and it was perfect! The staff are accommodating and friendly and the chateau is stunning. I highly recommend to others who are looking for a fun different themed room with a jacuzzi too. Lots of TV channels they offer as well. Thanks for everything!"

"I'm not sure I've had a worse experience with a hotel before... Rooms weren't ready at 4:00 pm check in time, a man - possibly cleaning staff? - barged in our room at 9:00 am. Hardly knocked, never once said "housekeeping." The body wash container was completely empty and a wad of hair that didn't belong to us on the shower floor. Extremely disappointing with our stay to say the least."

"I was going to Kansas City for a concert; it was about a ten-minute drive from the venue. The hotel was quite old; it looked like it had been renovated, but the overall facilities were dated. You had to ask the front desk for water, and the coffee machine was covered in dust. Luckily, I brought a bottled water maker from China that I could use to boil water directly (also, the voltage in the US is the same as in Japan, 110V, so remember to check the voltage of any appliances you bring. For example, a Dyson hairdryer won't work in China, so I had to buy a pirated 110V hairdryer from Huaqiangbei). The hotel breakfast was à la carte from the cafe in the lobby, which was quite good—delicious and convenient. It felt like a typical business hotel in China."
