Anantya by the Lake

My stay at Anantya by the Lake was impressive. This hidden gem, nestled by the serene lake and lush forest, offers a perfect blend of tranquility and luxury. The well-appointed cottage was super clean, showcasing meticulous attention to detail despite the remote location. The view from the room was simply breathtaking, offering a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding greenery, making every moment spent in the cottage a pure delight. One of the highlights of the accommodations was the incredibly spacious bathroom, equipped with both a luxurious bathtub and a refreshing shower. The bathroom's large size added to the overall comfort, providing ample space for relaxation and rejuvenation. It was complemented by a charming small courtyard that offered a private outdoor space for unwinding. The courtyard's tranquil ambiance, with its colorful flowers and gentle breeze, made it a perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening read. Walking around the resort was a delightful experience. The well-maintained grounds provided a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The pathways were lined with beautiful flora, and the sound of birds added to the peaceful atmosphere. The carefully curated landscaping and the natural beauty of the surroundings created an enchanting environment that invited leisurely strolls and moments of reflection. Despite its remote location, the cost of food and services was very reasonable, which added to the overall luxury feel of the place. The resort's restaurant offered an extensive menu that catered to all tastes, from local delicacies to international cuisine. Breakfast was particularly delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from, including freshly baked pastries, tropical fruits, and hot dishes. The service was exemplary, with the attentive staff ensuring that every need was met promptly. The staff's genuine warmth and hospitality made every meal an enjoyable experience. Housekeeping was quick and efficient, maintaining a spotless living space and attending to any requests with a smile. The resort also provided a buggy service for those who found it hard to move around, making it accessible for all guests. The buggies were readily available and driven by friendly staff who were always willing to assist, ensuring that guests could explore the resort's vast grounds with ease. The resort grounds featured a wonderful games area with activities for all ages, a lovely infinity pool with stunning views of the lake, a kids' play area, and well-maintained badminton and tennis courts. These amenities ensured that there was something for everyone to enjoy, from children to adults. The infinity pool, in particular, was a highlight, offering a serene spot to relax and take in the picturesque views of the lake. The games area provided entertainment and fun, while the sports courts encouraged guests to stay active and engaged. Dotted around the resort were swings and hammocks for everyone to enjoy and take

The choice for our honeymoon. We booked Sadhana Pool villa for 3 nights here and we were absolutely happy with our decision. Right from the smooth check in to hospitality at the property was to notch. The food was lipsmacking and sumptuous. Evenings are very pleasant. They arranged candle light dinner at the lake side that was also very thoughtful. We would recommend this Paradise to all who seek for peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The resort is located on the lake with the hills in the background about 1 hour from Trivandrum airport. The rooms and grounds are well kept. The food is excellent and varied veg and non-veg. All the staff are excellent and ready with a smile. It is hard to fault this resort. It has a good sized pool, spacious grounds and bikes and games area for all to use.

Location is great in rubber plantation by the Chittar lake. 90 minutes from Thiruvananthapuram by road. Rooms - Siddhi rooms are large size with lake view. Bed and other furniture are of good quality but rustic and old. Linen and towels are good. Room lighting could be re configured and be made user friendly. Bath room - good size with quality sanitaryware. Downside - walls of bathroom area and some parts of bedroom needs to be redecorated and painted. There were seepage/fungus marks and were unpleasant (room 203). The floorings is dead old and painted red - must be changed immediately. The outer sitting area facing the lake can be made more tidy and grass needs to be trimmed. Restaurant - located next to the lake and far from some rooms. Its well ventilated as its sides are open mostly but there is a roof. Overall it is well placed with views of lake, woods, pool and other water bodies. Food - it is mix state of quality. Some food items are delicious and authentic. Other foods were ordinary and average in taste. Some dishes were great like idly, coconut chutney, freshly made puris, nan and kulcha (made on request), potato vegetable dishes, some fish and chicken items. But dosa was always flop show in taste and crispiness. Sambhar and rassam were hugely disappointing, may be that is how they make and eat intuit part of Tamil Nadu. Repeated foods in buffet and food taste were boring after 1-2 days. New Year eve party arrangement were planned in a great way at lakeside lawns but strong winds were not taken into consideration which disrupted the show at some stage for about 30 minutes. Food was plenty in variety but with a some poor and average quality and below average taste. Positive points are both the senior chefs Jayesh Chandran and Nidhis and their serving staff, they were ever helpful, polite, and kind. Kitchen and restaurant team deserves an additional star for their polite behaviour. Both chefs were attentive to look after the allergies and offered food options. Jayesh was always handy in providing options. Reception - welcoming with warmth. Welcome drinks needs to be less or not at all sugary. Mosquitos can be an annoying presence in every area. Games area and Ayurvedic Massages - good team and the lady manager was so ever smiling and helpful. Our group enjoyed Ayurvedic experience. Highly recommended. I may revisit but there is nothing extraordinary.

This is one real good place to stay for its geographical location, serenity, nestled in rubber plantation and rooms close by over viewing the lake..the ambience is contextual to the environment, food is very authentic and supporting staffs are incredibly courteous and warm. This place is suitable for both working people to operate from resort and for family to enjoy nature and food. I liked birds chirping early morning and late evening and with variety of trees in the premise, it is great cheering moments. I went for trekking and and water fall nearby that gave a different experience

Resort hospitality was too good. Due to travel I had severe stomach upset. But resort staff took care if me by providing medicine on time and jeera water at all times. The staff was too good. Food I tasted were also very light and less spicy. Deserts were good. Breakfast options were nice. Resort itself was very vast, clean and lake view is too good. Cottage was spacious, hygenic, clean and very good. Overall loved the experience of Anantya by lake.
