Airline Inn Kaohsiung Station ★★★★

📍 No.33 Jianguo 3rd Road, Sanmin District, Kaohsiung

"Nice budget friendly hotel with good buffet breakfast included. Couldn't find any instrns to get to this hotel so document here for future travellers. For those taking either Red line (from Zuoying HSR) or Taiwan railways to Kaohsiung station, head towards exit 2, go up a couple of escalators till u reach a big open atrium n see the Taiwan Railway Information lobby, walk to the side with big sundial. Take the escalator on the right to ground level (Jianguo 3rd road) and you will see the hotel on the opposite side of the road. My family stayed in 2 rooms. One of the room had the sink outside the toilet. Not good because the water and drain pipe can be noisy. Free coffee and tea available in the lobby and free use of laundry machines. There is a row of fast food outlets next to hotel, supermarket PX Mart abt 10 minutes walk away. 15 to 20 minutes walk to Liuhe night market."

SKYONE HOTEL

SKYONE HOTEL ★★★

📍 No. 149, Liuhe 2nd Road, Qianjin District, Kaohsiung

"Had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for sightseeing, and the hotel staff made us feel at home. We booked a Quadruple room with city view for the 4 of us in a family. Room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. It was 1 Queen and 1 King beds. I would like to suggest to the hotel is to install a light near the cupboard so that one can see clearly when we are looking at our suitcase. I still recommend this hotel as a good place to stay in Kaohsiung city."

Moon Xinxing ★★★

📍 3rd Floor, No. 267-62, Linsen 1st Road, Xinxing District, Kaohsiung

"The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. However, the cleanliness needs improvement. They offer coffee and candy, and there are free drinks and a water dispenser. The room has a window, and the hot water supply is plentiful. There's also a Tescom hairdryer in the room. All basic accommodation needs are met. The location is superb!"

Hero You x Chitow Hostel ★★

📍 No.128, Zhongzheng 3rd Road, Xinxing District, Kaohsiung

"Fantastic location, literally right at the Formosa Boulevard Station exit. The ambiance was also very pleasant. Breakfast was included, though I regrettably slept in and missed it – a real pity! Check-in is at 3 PM, and check-out is before 11 AM."

Royal Fine Hotel

Royal Fine Hotel ★★★★

📍 No. 207, Qixian 2nd Rd, Qianjin District, Kaohsiung

"The room was smaller than expected, amenities was also fewer than expected. However the location was good, bus stop was just infront of the hotel and train station was a few minutes away only. Service was also great but its sad that we have to pay for extra hotel card. Overall hotel was good, just hope they improve the amenities considering the hotel wasnt cheap."

Fish Hotel -Kaohsiung

Fish Hotel -Kaohsiung ★★★★

📍 No.10 Bade 2nd Road, Xinxing District, Kaohsiung

"Fish Hotel was a great base for our trip to Kaohsiung. The location between Kaohsiung and Formosa Boulevard MRT stations made it easy to get around, and there were plenty of food options nearby, including halal and local eateries. The staff were polite and accommodating, and the rooms were spacious and clean. It’s a simple hotel, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. Would definitely consider returning."

Kaohsiung Hù House ★★★★

📍 No.11, Qixian 2nd Rd, Sinsing District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan 80050, Xinxing District, Kaohsiung

"Our stay was fantastic! The room was spotless, had an electric bidet toilet, hand towels, and a spacious bathroom with a window for ventilation. It was cleaned daily, and they provided plenty of drinking water. There's also a water dispenser on the 9th floor for hot water. I highly recommend staying in the 'deluxe room' (精致客房). The internet speed was excellent. We stayed with our 3-year-old twin babies and everything was super convenient. It's just a few steps from Liuhe Night Market, with a Pxmart supermarket right across the street, and Formosa Boulevard Station is also very close. The best part was the breakfast – rich and varied. I'd love to ask the hotel where they get their 'breakfast bite-sized pastries' (一口酥) from, they were absolutely delicious and I want to eat them again! The front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful. Our check-in experience was very smooth."

"Love this hotel after our first visit a few months ago. Back here with kids this time and I am still amazed by its modern design, great location and cozy environments.  The only difference for the visit this time if the staff friendliness was bit disappointed with ineffective communication and less welcomed attitude at the lobby lounge afternoon tea area. Also the room cleaning service is not as comprehensive as last time. Hope they will improve."

"Service was great! Everyone was super polite and there was always someone who was fluent in multiple languages. Very clean. I loved the coed outdoor pool on the upper level as well as the same-sex hot tub and sauna rooms. Best part was the food! I have attached photos of the food I got there (all included for free with executive floor rooms). Breakfast was amazing! I booked the executive floor room (so basically any room on floors 18-20). Executive rooms comes with breakfast by default even if you don't book one that explicitly includes the breakfast. There's actually 2 options for breakfast. There's the Nikko Room Executive breakfast on the top floor where there's a made to order menu (2 choices/day) as well as a buffet of Hors d'oeuvre style foods. The first day we ordered bruleed banana with pancake and egg and then this crepe thing. I preferred the breakfast on the second floor at the Serena All day Restaurant. Serena Restaurant had Haagen Daz ice cream and a greater variety of foods including choose your fruit juice bar, noodle station, lots of buffet style western and asian food, ham by the slice, they also had a cart they pushed around with Hong Kong style dim sum and also another cart for bread. Booking the executive floor rooms also gave you afternoon tea (3-5pm) which was Hors d'oeuvres and they had a fridge of drinks including, juice, soda, and beer. One day they had a whole rack of fresh honeycomb that you could slice off and eat. Executive room also gives you Cocktail hour which you can choose from 2 drinks on the menu that they make for you or there's alcohol on the table you can pour yourself. It's unlimited drinks. There's also Hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour. Location is decent. It's quiet but not very close to major attractions. It's close to Costco so we went several times. Trains are about a 10 minute walk away so not that close. Not many nearby attractions but that's more of the layout of KaohSiung, we walked to the train and went to the art pier as well as cijin old street, and the Love's Lookout."

"This is the best hotel we stayed at during this trip. The cleanliness and location are highly recommended. Especially the view — when you open the curtains, you can see the river. The room was very clean, and the housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything tidy. Highly recommended for families."

"Overall, the hotel is decent and comfortable for a stay. My room was clean and spacious. The hotel is eco-friendly, so single-use personal care items like toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided; they are available at the counter for 20 NTD if needed. Shower foam and shampoo are provided in the bathroom. There are also no bottled water amenities, but you can boil your own water in the room. One feature I really appreciated was the laundry room. As someone who likes to wash clothes while travelling, this was a big plus. It isn’t free (50 NTD for washing and another 50 NTD for drying), but I find the pricing reasonable. The hotel also offers free biscuits and drinks during the day at Level 16, which guests are welcome to enjoy. The location is convenient, within walking distance to a FamilyMart and the Cianjin MRT station. What I didn’t particularly like, although I understand the eco-friendly concept, was that some basic hotel service felt lacking. Late at night, I called the front desk to request paper and a pen, and was told I had to go down to collect it myself. Personally, after showering and settling in for the night, I didn’t expect to have to go downstairs for such a small request, and it was mildly frustrating, so I chose not to collect it and only asked again the following day. That said, I’m not sure if this was due to a particular staff member. My interactions with other front desk staff were generally positive, they were helpful with directions and assisted me with booking a taxi in advance. Overall, a comfortable stay with good facilities, though service consistency could be improved slightly."

"There is a dining area at 2/F where we can have our takeaway from the night market and grap a cup of hot chocolate or popcorn before we go back to hotel room for a Doraemon movie! And there are more snacks provided free inside your room. In addition, there is an entertainment area at B1/F to play with kids while waiting for check in."

"I was already so tired, and having to check out first before extending my stay was really inconvenient. Plus, I asked the front desk to help me call a taxi because I was in a rush, but they were still trying to figure out how to use the app to book a car, which wasted even more time. In the end, I just used my usual way of booking a taxi (by voice)…"
