Karapiro Hotels with Gym

I booked a 3 night stay over the long weekend as an anniversary present for my partner, with a Hobbiton Evening Banquet Tour booked alongside. Other than that, I planned to not do a lot, to just relax and unwind from our busy lifestyles. Lake Karapiro Lodge delivered the trifecta, peaceful, picturesque and perfect! Ann and Ed were super lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast each morning, with superb coffees and great conversation. The view from our room was gorgeous, the lodge itself was beautifully designed by the two, and inside the lodge was a gorgeous set up of old English style decor. We played games in the room and in the shared tea/coffee room, swam in the pool, sunbathed in the loungers and drank wine on our little patio. We ate a yummy 3 course meal on our final night garlic prawns, lamb rack and apple crumble. We were in such awe of the two doing almost everything themselves and would love to be able to have a place like theirs and do what they do one day! I hope to go back one day, as we had such an amazing time. They really do go above and beyond
