"Hornbill Lodge was a great stop during our road trip through Zimbabwe. We stayed for one night in Kariba and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. After several days on the road and camping in Matusadona, it was exactly the kind of stop we needed: comfortable, peaceful and very welcoming. One of the things that immediately stood out was the beautiful taste in the décor. The lodge has a lot of character and feels carefully put together without being overdone. The service was also excellent: very warm, attentive and personal throughout our stay. Everything was clean and well looked after, and we felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. We particularly enjoyed being able to slow down for an evening in Kariba before continuing our journey. A very pleasant and charming place to stay, and one we would happily recommend to friends travelling through Zimbabwe."
