Atlantis Hotel ★★
"The hotel is in an excellent location in Pigadia, Karpathos. The view is wonderful. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean. The pool was great, my kids loved it. The staff was always there to help us with anything we asked for."
Albatros ★★★
"Stunning location and structure: a dream and relaxing experience thanks to the impeccable and tailor made service of all the exceptional Crew working here: Zoe and Giannis at the reception and the super restaurant Team made by Christina, George, Panagiotis and Valeria! Here you really experience being part of a Family thanks to the exceptional care and attention!"
Panorama Hotel ★★
"It was cool and rainy in Västra Götaland most of the summer this year. The tans we started in June faded in July and August. It seldom got above 20 C. We longed for sun and hot sandy beaches. So we returned in late August to Karpathos and the Panorama Hotel, our second year in a row. The Panorama is family-run, with an unpretentious family feeling. Room 302 was clean and comfortable, with a sea-view from the balcony. Breakfast was simple and adequate, and included in the price. We were 300 meters from the beach, and a couple hundred from a well-stocked supermarket. It was a ten-minute walk from the centre of Pigadia. Best of all, we were able to book our holiday on short notice, and it fit our budget. We didn't pay for extras we wouldn't use, like a pool, and we got decent wifi. Nicholas and his team are super friendly and go the extra mile to help their guests. As I said in my review last year, you can pay more for four walls and a bed, or you can stay at the Panorama and have that with a little left in your pocketbook."
Lemon Tree House ★★★
"Expecting much more for the money we paid; no shower gel available in the bathroom. Room was small with a small balcony looking at a narrow dead end street.Breakfast was basic;no fresh orange juice provided and little variety of fruit and vegetables. There was no wi-fi connection in the room though it was included in the amenities. Narrow staircase leading to the rooms and no elevator for those carrying heavy luggage. Hotel is located in the heart of Pigadia but parking nearby is another issue as the roads around it are very narrow."
CHC Sound of the Sea ★★★★
"This is the first time that I write a negative review. This makes me sad. We stayed with 4 people at this hotel in August 2023 for 7 days. We booked directly with the hotel. Our booking included breakfast. Already after one day we realized that having breakfast in the hotel did not suit us (It did not fit in our day planning). We contacted the reception to cancel our breakfast reservation. This was accepted, but we have no written proof of this. At check-out we were surprised to see that the breakfast was still charged on our credit card. This means that we were charged 300 euro for breakfast that we did not take ! The hotel refuses to repay us this amount (in full or even partly). Lessons learnt : - do NOT book breakfast in advance - do NOT book directly with the hotel but use external booking sites (eg. ***********, etc) it is clear that we will not return to this hotel."
Alimounda Mare Hotel ★★★★★
"You will find many magical places to stay on this island. but if you want high European standards on a small island like Karpathos, then this hotel is right for you. beautiful location with fantastic pool area. located only 6-10 min easy walk to the center. crystal clear water with a bit of a challenge with climbing on rocks, but easy with swimming shoes. the staff is great, rooms and beds are good. Breakfast is standard + have worked in many good hotels myself, and this hotel is probably the best in terms of facilities on the island. rental car makes it easy to get around everywhere. but AliMounda will be your best choice off base. thank you very much for us in room 236 with kind regards Bruseth family"
Seven Stars ★★★
"Terrible in every way! When we arrived, black hairs on the floor, dirty sheets! On the last day of our holiday, we couldn't take a shower because there was no water; we were given bottles of water to wash ourselves!!! Minimal breakfast, dirty glasses. In short, an inconvenience to forget, except for the island, which is truly SPECTACULAR!"
Poseidon Blue Gastronomy Hotel ★★
"I went to the Poseidon with my family over the summer and everything was great. I've always wanted to visit a greek Island so Karpathos was a dream coming true. At first we were unsure which hotel to choose but the Poseidon was definetly the pefrect choice for us. We had a beautiful view on the island from our room which we loved. The Staff was very nice and helpful and we felt instantly welcomed. I really enjoyed my stay there and can't wait to go back next summer."
Bluu Bahari Hotel ★★★
"We stayed at Bluu Bahari for a week in mid-June, we had a great time! The owners and all the staff are always kind and available to satisfy any need! It's a shame that the great, high-level Saverio Scef arrived on the last days of our holiday but nevertheless we managed to enjoy his delicious dishes! We will definitely be back! Thanks Ps. spectacular sunsets!"

Cavo Marelia
"We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Our room was extremely clean, modern and very comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The breakfast is excellent and offers such a wide variety that there really is something for everyone. The hotel’s menu is also extensive, and the food we had was very good. The hotel itself is modern and has a lovely swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers and parasols. Pool towels are available from reception and can be exchanged every two days. You only pay a small deposit, which is refunded when you leave. The nearby beach is also lovely, especially if you enjoy snorkelling. There are lots of fish to see! Try to go snorkelling when there isn’t too much wind, as the water is then beautifully clear and visibility underwater is excellent. Unfortunately, our stay was unexpectedly cut short and we had to return home earlier than planned, so we didn’t get the chance to explore as much of the area or visit as many restaurants as we would have liked. However, Taverna Nina is an absolute must! Wonderful, authentic Greek food fresh, simple and full of flavour, without unnecessary fuss. The tzatziki with pita is absolutely delicious! All in all, a fantastic modern hotel in a beautiful location overlooking the sea, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely recommend staying here. The only downside is the usual “towel reservation” situation around the pool. Unfortunately, if you arrive later in the morning, most or all of the sun loungers may already be occupied or reserved with towels. I don’t think this is necessarily because people are trying to claim the best spots; there simply seem to be too few loungers for the number of guests. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel."
Irini Hotel
"Me and my husband were very satisfied staying at Irini Resort since all the stuff was very kind, always prepared to help us regarding all the information needed. The mediteranian food was also delicious. One thing we missed was any kind of entertainment, as for example Greek evening ."
Almi Luxury Rooms
"We are staying 12 days. Food and rooms are wonderful. Service at the restaurant and housekeeping- impeccable. A very negative experience at the beach has very much tainted our trip. We feel unwelcome. We were told at check in we had an assigned pair of beach chairs, but if we wanted we could pick a beach chair, whichever worked for us. It would be assigned for our stay. That evening we went for our swim and next to our assigned chairs was a very intoxicated person. The next day we requested a chair in the middle of the hotel chair area, far from the original seats. The guy at the beach said ok but to be prepared to leave at any time if other guests come. We complied with this. This morning he raised his voice at me and my son when I requested to take more central chairs. He non stop kept interrupting me. I tried to explain we didn’t mind not being in the first row, we would take any chairs- we just wanted to be in the middle of hotel guests. When I explained what I was told at check in, he responded “I don’t care”, and proceeded to interrupt again and raise his voice. Instead of simply asking the check in person or a manager for help. I understand his work may be difficult, and maybe we were misinformed- but the way he responded to a request was incredibly unprofessional. If I had been one of the big 1.85m men in my family, I doubt he would have spoken to me this way. Instead he terrified my little kid. I had to ask him to lower his voice and be polite in front of my son. Even worse- after we went to the beach chairs he told us to take, he came back and said we were in the wrong chairs again. Then he proceeded to tell us he is the boss of the chairs and he decides so he doesn’t need to discuss anything with anyone. In many other places, this man would not have been tolerated a day. Worst beach experience. I tried to find a manager to discuss this with. Spoke to two different employees, while requesting a manager, and they both insisted he is the reference for beach chairs and we have to comply. For the price you can have a much better experience in a Greek beach resort. Especially given the time one spends at the beach. Sadly everything else is wonderful. Especially the chef at the restaurant is up to par with 5-star resort chefs. That said, having stayed in beach resorts in Asia, Hawaii, Cali, all over Europe, this is by far the worst beach experience."
Hotel Finiki View
"We have been coming back to this exceptionally beautiful hotel with its friendly family atmosphere for many years. Nowhere else on the island is as beautiful as Finiki. We are always happy to come back :)"
Hotel Astron Princess
"I could “just” say that this hotel provides the best value for money you can find , but that doesn’t even begin to describe this GEM of a place. Perfectly situated for easy walking everywhere, the whole facility is immaculately clean, nice pool (not fancy but more than adequate), breakfast was way better than expected with home made jams and freshly made omelette. Above everything else - the staff was the friendliest you will ever find !!! We went to a beach, and the lady offered us to take an umbrella that someone left there …. (NEVER happened to us)"
Istia Luxury Villas
"My family and I had a great 5 night stay at Istia. The view is incredible and the property is well-maintained. The condos are well-appointed for comfort and relaxing. We cooked breakfast and other light meals. Matina is always available for assistance and recommendations. You will need a car or rely on taxis if you rent here. We rented from Takis Rent a Car, which was also a great experience. It was a great stay and we are sad to say goodbye — for now!"
Omega Residences
Arkasa Bay Hotel
"Arkasa Bay offered more comfort, more space and more of a welcome in comparison with most other Greek island hotels that we have stayed at. We see this reflected in reviews by other guests as well. Breakfasts were tailored to people's requests. Rooms were cleaned every day. The hotel is small enough that it feels homely. You often see cats roaming around the terrace but they tend to shy away from guests and are fed discretely out of view. The nearest sandy beach is 10 minutes away, where you can enjoy a lunch or drinks at the nearby Glaros restaurant. For evening meals, we had the choice of several affordable restaurants close by, with Kipos being the best in our opinion. The only downside to Arkasa seemed to be impractical bus timetables if you didn't own a car. An excursion to Olympos is highly recommended."
Lefkorama
"Sofia and Manolis are the one of the kindest and most sincere host couple you will ever meet. They take very good care of their guests and provide very useful information about the hidden jewels of the magical island they live on. The rooms are very clean and very well taken care of, the beds very comfortable and the surroundings very peaceful and relaxing. A well nourished breakfast prepared with love will make sure your exploring-the-island-adventure will be a success. Thank you dear friends and may you have great Health and great Strength. We will come again to visit, no question about that!"
Theoxenia Kasos Luxury Apartments
"Super clean apartment on Kasos with nice view great service from host super friendly. Thanks for trip. Pick up and drop off from airport great extra service."
Thalassa Suites
"We have been trying for years to find a nice place to stay in Karpathos close to windsurfing sites in Afiartis but somehow we were never happy. Thalassa changed everything. It is clean, modern, cozy ,and roomy with tasty decorations and beautiful landscaping. It is conveniently located next to Anemos bar and the ION windsurfing centre. Manolis the owner is extremely helpful and this has to be one of the best accommodations in the island."
Dilina Studios
"Clean, spacious room, cool, with sea view, equipped with all necessary, a few meters from the village's central square, taverns and coffee shops, excellent service, cleanliness on a daily basis and politeness. Mrs Eugenia, the owner of the house, was quick and willing to ask for anything, until she offered us and took us by her car to St. Nicolau, in order to swim the day we didn't follow the group, her 10-year-old boy insisted on carrying our bags and giving us all the useful information about the rooms and the area. Her little girl, Cathiana, offered us flowers from the beautiful richness. It was a wonderful stay and an unforgettable experience that we will remember with love!"
Arkasa Palace
"We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. As we stayed at the Aphrodite villa which is considered prime accommodation, we expected more for our money. After 3 days our towels were still not replaced and one of the towels once had yellow stains on. We got clean sheets only once during our stay. The swimming pool pump was broken with the lid and filter flouting in the pool and was only cleaned the day before we left. The terrace was cleaned only once during our stay of 7 days. The dishes and glasses were washed and left wet on the drip tray and the coffee machine was never cleaned and the dirt bins were not cleaned regularly. Our room was sometimes cleaned between 15h00 and 16h00. You only receive 2 coffee pods on the day of arrival and have to buy additional pods for making coffee. The hot breakfast was disappointing. Ons day omelettes with the same filling every time and the next day boiled or fried eggs. The building needs attention. The one blind at the breakfast area was broken and it was quite windy during breakfast. Our friends had a smart TV in there room and could watch Netflix and we had an old TV with news in English and other languages Maria and her family are very friendly but she was more concerned with organising her brother’s wedding and went to Athens to buy a dress the last day of our stay. Her parents helped out when she was not there."
