Hotel Rosso Karuizawa Reviews

I chose this hotel for a ski trip to Karuizawa, taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo. The hygiene was good, and breakfast was decent. The hotel staff were very friendly. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would choose this hotel again next time.

Good hotel with good transportation to ski place and shopping mall

The hotel offers good service, which includes a buffet breakfast. For breakfast, they had coffee, baked goods, tea, and jam, plus even curry rice. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 6-7 minute walk from the subway station. There's also a convenience store nearby, which is handy for picking up any daily essentials.

The renovation is quite new, but having to leave the key at the front desk every time I go out is a bit inconvenient.

Clean and convenient location. Around 5-7 mins walk from Karuizawa station. There is a Lawson right behind the hotel. The staff are super friendly and nice. Also there is transportation service from the hotel to the station. Great for family stay.

This hotel made our Karuizawa vacation truly enjoyable. The free tea and snack area on the first floor was a lovely touch, perfect for catching up with friends and sharing travel stories in a relaxed setting. The breakfast offered by the hotel was simple yet delicious.

For Japan, the room was quite spacious, and a double room was excellent for a single guest. The location is superb, just about a 10-minute walk from Karuizawa Station. The service was also good. However, the breakfast was rather repetitive, consisting of Japanese rice, vegetable fritters, two kinds of sliced bread plus rolls, boiled eggs, and a salad that consistently featured cabbage, corn, and cherry tomatoes. I stayed for five days, and the menu never changed. Accommodation in Karuizawa is more than twice as expensive as in Tokyo.

The hotel staff were friendly and polite, and the room was clean and comfortable. It's conveniently located within a 10-minute walk of both the station and the shopping district. Overall, a pleasant stay.
