"Its a coxy house in a residential area. Best to be there before it gets dark. But no worries too,as young English speaking lady will guide you if you are lost. Elderly man also makes great effort to speak in English. That's really very kind of them. Knowing that we are not Japanese.. Ryokan very well kept. Clean . Room was big and comfortable. Onsen was nice and cozy. Clean. Breakfast was good . Elderly guy walked us to the Inari Shrine ,1 min walk away. Very nice of him. If in that area, I recommend to stay here for a cosy clean ryokan experience. ."

📍 Kasama 2517-1, Kasama

"Use twin. Fairly spacious. However, the bathroom is a problem. After filling up the water and letting it warm up, I drained the bathtub to wash my body, and within a minute, the unit bath was full of wastewater and the water level rose. My slippers and everything else was soaked. An employee came, but the drain was clogged and the contractor had to deal with it. I was asked to change my room, but I think the hotel has poor maintenance. I had my room changed to a sweet room, but the bath with a great view had a lot of dirt and the shower tray was broken. This is a hotel where you should check the room when you stay."

📍 4943 Toriimatsu, Kasama

"I used it for 14 generations. This is the first use of 2 after last year's Bon Festival. The view spreading in front of you is the best! The room was large and the little grandchildren were running around and enjoying it. The children were delighted to be able to shoot this time. I had a really good experience because there was no chance to spend time touching nature with the whole family. I want to use it again next year ✨"

Kappo Ryokan Shiroyama ★★★★
"The inn had an old feel to it, but it was clean. As we traveled at the beginning of March, the bath in the room and the washroom were cold. It would have been nice to have a blanket. There was only one large bath, so we had to think about when to enter and when to eat, and it was disappointing that we couldn't take our time. The food was delicious, even though it was a busy one. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful, and we were able to talk, which made the trip even more enjoyable♪ It was very useful to get information about shops, etc."

"This is a business hotel offering single and twin rooms equipped with only the bare necessities. Towels are provided in the room, but toothbrushes, shampoo, and body soap are sold at the front desk for 300 yen. Hair dryers are also available for free rental at the front desk. The only inconvenience was drying my hair with a hair dryer. There was no mirror in the room, so I wanted to use the mirror in the unit bath, but there was no outlet in the bathroom, so I couldn't use that either. If I had an extension cord, I could run it from the outlet in my room to the unit bath, but that was not possible either. In the end, I dried my hair without looking in the mirror. One good thing about this hotel is that the common area on the first floor has a water server, hot water, and tea bags available for free drinking. The shower had good water pressure and was comfortable to use. By the way, there are no vending machines in the hotel. If I were to stay here again, I would definitely bring my toothbrush, shampoo, and a simple small mirror with me."

"Unfortunately, there was no plan that included breakfast this time. It was raining heavily, so I was glad that I had bought dinner and breakfast at a nearby supermarket."

"The facilities were well-equipped and the space was comfortable. I felt a little unwell so I extended my stay by one day, but I was able to relax without any contact, as I had requested, so I could get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, the inside of the washbasin in the bathroom had not been cleaned, so I had to do it in the living room. There were still various things stuck inside the washbasin."

"Perhaps because of the cold wave, the maximum temperature in Kasama is 13 degrees even though it is early November. The rooms and the baths are in separate buildings, and there is only one shower in the bath (women's bath), so you mix hot and cold water yourself to make the right temperature. It's cold. The water was good. As others have written, there are a lot of cats (8 cats!!). It's not beautiful, but from spring to early autumn, it feels like a secret hot spring in the forest. There were hydrangeas and wisteria trellises in the garden, so it would be a nice view in early summer. The rice with *kome for breakfast was also delicious."
