An amazing hotel, with unforgettable experience great service and the amenities are perfect for a couples getaway. A perfect getaway to connect with nature and your loved ones. Would definitely want to return back. Special thanks to Salum ( our butler) for an amazing experience and taking such great care of us even when he was fasting for ramadan!

This was truly amazing experience, we would definitely come back. It exceeded all my expectations from the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the location and the service. The staff were friendly and warm heated that is sad to leave them. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend The hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway. I’ll definitely be back. The only thing missing there was no snorkeling from the beach directly.

Worst experience ever.. Not worth the price. They don‘t have there staff under control. There are such nice places on Zanzibar and around bit this is none of them.. Please avoid this place.. I‘m very fine paying 1000 or more a night (low season) but not with this bad service!

Kilindi is unlike any hotel where we've ever stayed. Each room includes 3 separate but attached buildings: a bedroom, an outdoor bathroom and an outdoor living room and splash pool. The food was delicious, our waiter Saleh was top-notch. We would also recommend the cooking class, conducted outdoors by the pool. We had a great time and made a great meal. We also paddle boarded and kayaked, which we enjoyed. A couple of notes: the beach isn't available at low tide (there's no water in the cove at low tide). Also, they could use a bit more shade around the pool. In the afternoon, it's hard to find a shady spot. Otherwise, perfection with incredible service.

Kilindi was a magical resort and a fantastic place to end our honeymoon. The villas are truly one of a kind including a private plunge pool, fully outdoor bathroom, incredible bedrooms, and plenty of room to lounge around. The butlers are so kind and thoughtful, predicting needs and catering anything you may need. I can think of few places more relaxing. The only negative is there is a fairly active shipyard right next door which is in full view of Kilindi’s private beach and can be noisy. Don’t let that stop you from staying however as it’s easily ignored.

When talking about the greatness of Kilindi, we could talk about the amazing villa, the exquisite food, the privacy, the incredible private beach with turquoise water and plenty of activities to do, or the attention to detail. But what made our experience a 10 out of 10 was the excellent attention from our villa host Salum. Salum made sure that we were comfortable at every moment, that every detail was as expected and that we weren't missing a drink or snack for a second. He also took such good care of my wife's severe allergy to nuts, double checking every meal with the chef. He made us feel so welcome and taken care of and made the difference in this beautiful resort. Would 100% recommend.

I went to Kilindi for lunch, as I was considering staying there for my last night in Zanzibar and (thankfully) decided to check it out first, since it's just a few minutes drive from Zuri where I'm currently staying. I called in advance and asked the woman that answered whether non-guests are allowed to come for lunch. She said yes, but it's $100. Expensive, but I thought OK why not. When I arrived at the gate, I was kept waiting there for over 15 minutes by the security guard, who was not only unapologetic but literally laughing at the fact that I had called ahead and yet was still not being allowed in. When I was finally allowed in, I was escorted to a reception area where I was told I had to wait for the return of the resort's 1 receptionist, who was currently on a "site inspection". The food ended up being average, the receptionist totally unapologetic (and demanded that I pay the $100 up front before I continued with my meal), and even the WiFi didn't work. Their beach is also terrible. I'm glad I went though because at least it saved me from spending a night there.

Our stay at Elewana Kilindi Zanzibar from the 11 to 14 of August was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of pure luxury and tranquility. Our villa host, Salum, was exceptional. His attentiveness and knowledge of the property made us feel truly cared for. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the cooking class with Chef Hellen. Her culinary expertise and infectious enthusiasm made for an unforgettable experience, and we even received a certificate and the recipe to take home. The service provided by Hopeman at the reception and Michael, the front office manager, was impeccable. Their professionalism and friendliness contributed significantly to our overall enjoyment. A special mention goes to the General Manager Lisa Jackson for creating such an exceptional establishment. Lisa is an absolute gem. Her warm and welcoming personality creates an instant sense of belonging for every guest. From the moment we arrived, she made it a point to personally greet us, ensuring our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Her dedication to guest satisfaction is unparalleled. We were touched by her thoughtful gestures, such as offering us refreshments and snacks whenever we were outside the property. Her genuine care elevated our overall experience. She generously shared her insights, helping us make the most of our time in Zanzibar. Her passion for the hotel and the island is infectious, and it's evident in the exceptional team she has cultivated. Every morning, we started our day with a refreshing blend of tropical fruits, a burst of sweetness. The seven-course dinner on the terrace was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the chef's creativity and passion. The crowning jewel of our culinary experiences was the seafood BBQ by the beach. Freshly caught delicacies, expertly grilled to perfection. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. We indulged in a variety of exciting water activities, including snorkeling, a breathtaking sunset cruise on the Indian Ocean, thrilling jet skiing, and peaceful kayaking. Elewana Kilindi Zanzibar is truly a hidden gem where relaxation and indulgence reign supreme. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and look forward to returning in the future.
