Astoria Hotel

They stole €5 from me there was wires everywhere radio didn’t work very dated and it was €10 for air con every night plus the staff were rude. Never come or you’ll be in for a surprise that’s not nice. There was a nice waitress though I liked her.

Had a lovely week with my 51 year old son, mix up with the room , booked a twin but it was a double bed, Maria soon sorted it out , had a lovely twin bedded room overlooking the sea, room was very clean and spacious , plenty of storage space, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, typical Greek breakfast with plenty of choice which we really enjoyed, can’t fault this hotel with a beachfront setting, the grounds are well maintained with plenty of seating areas , also sun beds on the small beach, many thanks to the Astoria for a lovely holiday 😀

Just returned from a wonderful 9 days staying at the Astoria in Alykes. Some of the reviews are fairly negative of the hotel but we can personally not pick fault at all. Is the hotel clean? Yes it is . Does it smell clean? Yes it does. Are the staff friendly and approachable? Yes mostly. Were the beds and pillows comfy ? Yes they were. Did the room have tho most amazing sea view? Yes it did. Was the cleaner on level 2 fabulous and leave your towels in heart shapes? Yes she did 🫶🏼 was the hotel dated ? Yes but quirky! The breakfast selection was ok. Something for everyone, wasn’t my favourite meal of the day but breakfast all the same! For a 2 star hotel, we certainly were impressed. Some comments have been Unfair I’d say! It’s about managing your expectations. If you’re after 3/4 star, don’t book 2 star is my advice! All in all a fabulous, relaxing holiday, albeit at the end of the season and fairly quiet, but suited us perfectly. Thankyou Astoria 🥰
