The front desk staff were kind and helpful, and the restaurant servers offered a good, varied breakfast. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. The best part was the small garden with a waterfall inside the hotel, plus the affordable price for the services provided, including airport transfer, which I received.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Nirvana We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Nirvana, ideally located right in the center of Thamel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay, and breakfast every morning was a real highlight — fresh and varied. The location made it easy to explore the area on foot. Overall, everything was excellent and we'd happily return.

1. There's no elevator, and we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor, which was inconvenient for getting up and down. 2. The hotel is located on a narrow, crowded old street, but there are many Chinese restaurants nearby. 3. The hotel's garden is beautiful. 4. It was visibly dirty, but oh well, that seems to be a common issue in Nepal, so I just tried to overlook it.

This is a property if you like silence & peace.Nepali style architecture.They keep the property clean with a beautiful garden though it is an old.The breakfast was good & kind mannered staff.No elevator.Absolute nature feeling inside busy Thamel.

I would rebook this hotel in a heartbeat. It was situated in the heart of Thamel, which is known as a backpacker district, but it did not have that feel at all. It was very isolated from the main road and was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, just what I needed. It is located within walking distance of some tourist things and easily accessible on a motorbike to get to others. There are a lot of good restaurants offering local cuisine nearby as well which was great. It is the perfect location to destress and unwind in the evening.

Great value for money. Terrific people- so helpful and understanding. The hotel is decent and the facilities are clean n well kept. The buffet breakfast is awesome. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Strongly recommended for as long as you’re in Kathmandu.
