Alley Boutique Hotel and Spa ★★★★
"For the price, it could have been better. Cleanliness could have been improved, and the breakfast left much to be desired."
White Rocks Hotel Kefalonia ★★★★
"The scenery is very good, breakfast is average"
Leivatho Hotel ★★★★
"This is a really lovely hitel. It’s family owned and run - such a fantastic experience. We had a sea view room which had a good kitchen as well as an excellent shower. Lovely bed linen and towels. What makes it stand out is the attention detail in everything that is done - a lovely welcome and nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend it."
Blue Jasmine Hotel ★★★
"Our summer stay at this resort was nothing short of amazing. The location is fantastic. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and welcoming. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive without being intrusive, always ready to help with a smile. We felt like we are part of a family. The view alone was enough to take our breath away—endless blue stretching into the horizon, with sunsets that painted the sky in amazing colours. Every moment felt calm and unhurried, like time slowed down just for us. It was calm and relaxing. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable bed and spacious balcony area. The food was absolutely delicious ."
Melidron Hotel ★★★
"Just back from a lovely stay in melidron hotel. We’ve stayed quite a few times now and this stay we were a bit apprehensive because it has new owners, we need ent have been, the staff are lovely ,especially Leah on reception who was absolutely fantastic. Rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday by the two wonderful cleaning ladies. Two small hiccups were, they ran out of mythos one day ,and we had lunch which wasn’t as good as expected , all in all though , these are little teething problems which didn’t spoil our stay . Can’t wait to visit again."
Louis Apostolata Island Resort ★★★★★
"This is not a 5* hotel. We arrived late so check in was really rushed. We were not given any information about the hotel in general and what's on offer. We had no idea you could get a free shuttle bus into skala or poros ( 1 hour walk + a massive hill to climb. ) we found this out on checkout day! We also were not told about the options regarding the extra restaurants which meant we were subjected to disgusting food. I will give positive feedback for the breakfast options. The staff - restaurant and bar staff were all pleasant. Front of house staff not good. The rooms/hotel. When booking it wasn't clear what types of views you could have, therefore we asked for a room with a view. An extra €140 euros! When we checked out we overheard a couple saying the had complained and got a FREE upgrade to a superior room. The rooms in its self. The toilet is situated in the shower cubicle with the telephone?!?!? Having a shower was not a pleasant experience when you have toilet smells around. On arrival we came into a room with two single beds. We therefore had to ask for a double mattress. It's a very steep hotel and not much parking. It does have a lot of ants and birds around ( we didn't mind the birds. We actually had a little nest with a bird inside which we named Frank. ) To round off we won't be coming back again to this hotel. Kefalonia is absolutely stunning and we will be back visiting this stunning island in the future."
Meliti Waterfront Suites ★★★★
"Positives Location right near the waterfront Use of loungers to access the small beach Apartment space and cleanliness 20 mins walk in to Sami Lovely cafe just up the road Negatives Neroli suite has a small side sea view behind a lot of electricity wires not the panoramic views stated Road traffic noise is constant (we had a terrible nights sleep the first evening as we weren’t made aware of the shutters for the windows overnight) Pool is tiny and was packed everytime we went to go - it has a 12 person limit and for the numerous suites it’s highly unlikely you will be able to use Local supermarket has been closed for ages therefore Sami is closest place to get essentials"
Albouro Seafront Apartments ★★★
"We booked a superior apartment with a terrace and sea view for a week. Two days before our arrival, we received a text message informing us of a problem with the toilet and saying we would be given a different apartment. This one was on the ground floor, without a sea view. As we discovered, all the superior apartments were occupied, meaning the apartment was overbooked. The promised refund of the extra cost has still not arrived three weeks after our return. The owner is unreachable by phone or text message; there has been no response whatsoever. Not recommended!"
Hotel Kourkoumelata ★★

Diana Studios
"In April 2024 I contacted the owner of Diana Suites, asking for availability in July 2024. The owner asked me to find Diana suites on Viber and send my request there, as I did. He then sent me a screenshot of my booking, specifying the whole amount due, and asking for a 50% deposit within the next 3 days. At that point I didn’t check that he had made my reservation for Diana studios ( but charged at the price of suites advertised in April). The owner never mentioned that he runs two separate types of accommodation ( studios/ suites) and even today I keep wondering why he decided for me, without making clear which accommodation I preferred, and proceeded with my booking. The moment I arrived with my family, without even showing the room first, he asked us to pay the remaining balance in full. It seemed weird, but we did so. Imagine our disappointment when we realised that our room was in the studios building instead of the suites one. My mistake was that I trusted him in the first place and never double-checked . I had no proof that I was talking about the suites while he was talking about the studios. Honestly, I have been to many different islands in Greece and several capitals in Europe, this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me. A total disappointment!"
Thalassa Boutique Hotel - Adults Only
"Beautiful hotel in a very scenic location. The facilities are excellent and so was the breakfast. Very friendly staff as well."
Porto Skala Hotel Village
"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great facilities, decent size rooms and very comfy beds. The best thing about this hotel though is the amazing staff……….nothing is too much trouble. I must in particular mention Evelyn and Franklin who were amazing! My main gripe unfortunately was that there is no air con in the seating areas in the dining room but would thoroughly recommend this hotel"
Faro Del Porto
"The owner was there to meet us and take us to our room on the first floor overlooking the harbour. Good size balcony which caught the morning sun. Lovely view of the harbour. Very quiet location but you really need a car to get about as it is on the top of a steep hill."
Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa
"We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at the Electra. The room was very well appointed and we were really well cared for by kind, attentive and thoughtful staff, who catered to our every need. The spa facilities were very good, with a very astute concierge service, which captured our appetite to both explore the island’s highlights and also to relax. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Svoronata, with a number of mid-range restaurants within easy walking distance and a small, lovely beach right on the doorstep."
F Zeen Kefalonia
"Wasnt so clean."
Casaly Hotel & Spa
"Fabulous hotel close to town centre and overlooking the bay with outstanding hospitality. Great layout and facilities - pool, gym, spa, etc. Staff - Katerina, Costas, Angeline and all their colleagues - helped to make it a special experience. Loved the breakfasts which catered for all tastes. Highly recommended!"
Emelisse Nature Resort
"Hotel is positioned on a beautiful part of the island. The grounds are lush and pool is great. We loved everything here as far as the environment, views, amenities and our room, but the service was quite poor specially with the front desk. Our room was directly by the pool, and two nights in a row live music was playing at the pool restaurant until 11pm, which is great if you are there enjoying it, but not when you have a small child and trying to put them to bed. The next day when I told the front desk member that the music was very loud in our room and we were unable to sleep he just said yes we can play music until 11. When I pushed further and asked if we could be moved the answer was no. And that was that. I was stunned at this terrible customer service. I appreciate the hotel was fully booked but a simple gesture, an apology or sympathy would have gone a long way."
Lassi Hotel
"The location of the hotel was perfect for the beaches, and bars. The staff very friendly and very helpful. Nice relaxing atmosphere, great views from the front balcony rooms."
La Signora Hotel
"This is our second year staying at La Signora Boutique Hotel and it was superb once again. Super hotel, friendly and attentive staff and spotlessly clean. We had a mountain view room which meant we could watch as the sun came up over the mountain in the morning - stunning. The breakfast is perfect - plenty of choice and fresh food. The hotel has a wonderful ambience and they make you feel so welcome - Greek night and Jazz night certainly shouldn’t be missed and it’s well worth trying the extensive menu of cocktails!! I cannot express how lovely this hotel is - we will be back for third visit next year!!"
Kefalonia Bay Palace by Ghh
"We recently stayed 5 nights at Kefalonia Bay palace the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the views are amazing. Lena the manager was always close by to ask if everything was ok, we found the 2 bedroom villa with a pool very relaxing but lacked kitchen space to wash glasses ect. The pool closing at 7pm each day is a bit early when the weather is so hot. The location is very step with lots of steps and the rooms are very tired."
Liberatos Village
"Not THE most amazing place, it has lots of little flaws but overall we loved our stay and the friendly staff. Bar prices need to come down and breakfast need to be better. Would definitely recommend though and would absolutely go back there. Thank you Liberatos 😃"
Mouikis Hotel Kefalonia
"The hotel has a great location, not far from the beach, and plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a small supermarket to the right of the hotel entrance where you can buy yogurt and other similar items. Behind the hotel is a commercial street where you can shop, but the shop owners are quite casual, and some close very early. The room has a small balcony, not too big or too small. The only drawback is the poorly designed bathroom; the shower is too small, and the toilet paper isn't even next to the toilet! You can arrange airport or ferry pick-up through the hotel on Ctrip, but this will incur an additional fee."
Tetra Retreat
"We were the first guests at this hotel, and spent 10days here we stayed in the swim up sea front room, ( we highly recommend this room to stay) by far the nicest room we have stayed in, it had stunning views which had the sun until late evening , we had the warmest welcome by all the staff, they couldn’t have done more for us, we really enjoyed our stay here it was the perfect chill out location, the hotel was walking distance to a few good restaurants, I would highly recommend renting a car for a few days of your trip too if you like a adventure thanks to everyone at the hotel for our great experience."
Odyssey Boutique Hotel
"Our 3rd visit and still brilliant in every way. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast and great food in the restaurant. There are always plenty of loungers to relax and enjoy the sun. All bedrooms have an amazing Sea view and are so comfortable. The staff are so helpful and caring as always. We look forward to next year. Thank you again."
Celestial All Suites
"A very relaxing, calm & peaceful stay. Feeling very rested & ready to go again. The surroundings, the flowers & the view of the mountain backdrop were stunning. I love swimming for fitness and this pool is the longest one I’ve ever swam in at a hotel. It’s really pristine and the aesthetics are very lovely. I would definitely recommend the relaxing massage and jacuzzi. The lady at the spa is very good. Also there’s a reasonable sized gym. We had a hire car which was great for trips out to explore the island."
