Kelowna Bed & Breakfast - Chatham House

A group of 9 of us stayed here over the May long weekend and WOW! The hot tub was a very nice treat and the oversized outdoor deck, with koi pond, was fantastic. Inside provided a great space to socialize and, at the same time, it was easy to sneak away and have time to yourself as well. Tara and Amanda were amazing hosts, preparing absolutely amazing food for us during our stay. And they were generally very nice and friendly people. I'm so glad to have met them. I would stay at this property again and again in heart beat!

We booked our stay at Chatham House months in advance for our family vacation. We were very excited about the prospect of staying, the location was ideal for our purposes of being in Kelowna. Unfortunately, a few weeks before our arrival, we received an email informing us that the property was “overbooked” and thus was cancelling our reservation. The reason provided for the cancellation was overbooking. This left us in a difficult situation scrambling to find alternative accommodations at the last minute, especially during June - peak season. Finding comparable options was very challenging and resulted in a higher price in a less desirable location. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, the late cancellation caused significant stress and inconvenience for our family trip. It would have been much more appreciated if Chatham House had offered some assistance in finding alternative accommodations, especially considering the short notice. Because we were unable to stay at the property, I cannot comment on the rooms, amenities, or staff. However, this experience has unfortunately left us with a negative impression of Chatham House due to the lack of communication and help with the last-minute cancellation. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and stress-free booking experience.

This was our first experience staying in a bed and breakfast, and it was absolute perfection. Not only were the rooms spotless, but they captured the essence and beauty of Kelowna. The linens were soft and the bed was comfortable. We had Smart/satellite TV with efficient Wifi in our one hundred year old room. The decor was Cape Cod elegant - our room was a blend of soft lavender and gentle sage. Breakfast was a surprise every day with fresh herbs, fruit, vegetables and local products… I will crave the breakfast charcuterie and caramelized peaches. Best of all, the staff are warm and welcoming. They are attentive and respectful. We could not have asked for a better stay.

Thoughtful and very tastefully appointed accommodation in all ways. Short 15 min walk to beautiful lakefront and downtown area of Kelowna. Good parking and stylish breakfasts! Thank you to Tara and the team for a really lovely 3 day stay. Would love to return.

We checked in Friday the 13th of May for a singular evening of comfort and luxury. At first when we arrived, there was some confusion for our designated room. We moved a couple of times over the course of an HR due to some booking confusion that under normal circumstances wouldn't be an issue. However we had just spent the day traveling, and spending time at the hospital and we were nackered. After a brief period of confusion, things were soon sorted, and the proprietor of the establishment apologized and sent up a conciliatory bottle of wine as a gesture of apology. We didn't expect the gesture, but kindly accepted it! A big thank you to Terra for going above and beyond to make it an exceptional stay. After we settled in, the rest of our stay was dreamy and frankly , we couldn't ask for more. The breakfast was exquisite , delicious waffles covered in fresh fruit and whip cream accompanied w a carafe of hot coffee, tea and plenty of smiles. Kudos to the management,with particular mention for Terra. We would return in a heartbeat!

Hands down, this is the best bnb I’ve ever experienced. The house is gorgeous, inside and out, and is super clean. Each room (I had the pleasure occupying all five for a family wedding) is uniquely decorated in a charming manner, yet has modern amenities and tech everywhere. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were spectacular. Homemade croissants, chia mango pudding, gluten-free waffles, and traditional bacon and eggs were just some of the fantastic dishes we enjoyed our week there. For a special treat, they will even provide charcuterie and wine. Without question, this will be the place my family will visit annually. And we are picky!
