Five Star Stay!! Phenomenal location, The Gallops what beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, spacious, comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. Excellent value for money for accommodating and in the restaurant. Friendly welcoming staff serving delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Mains of Taymouth is our happy place. This time we stayed in 3 Gallops and it brought back memories of when the site was developed and it was a show house. We will be back in 2026.

Great lodge , well equipped and spacious. Beautiful area with lots to do. Great home base for exploring.Well prepared for arrival. Really nice place to stay with the hot tub an added bonus.

Had a fantastic short break at Balloch Park. Lodge was great - spotlessly clean and well maintained, warm, very spacious, comfortable beds, good quality kitchen equipment, and a very useful utility room to contain a muddy dog! The site itself is lovely, very quiet and peaceful and lodges well spaced out with native trees planted to ensure privacy. Staff were so nice and very swiftly replaced one missing item when we asked. Beautiful walks close by - recommend the riverside walk down to Kenmore directly from the site, beech woods are gorgeous. My favourite place to be in Autumn, hope we can come back soon.

The property (14 Maxwells) was tired and dirty, from stained bed clothes, to absolutely disgusting shower. (see photos ). We left after 2 nights. Would not recommend Mains of Taymouth to anyone. Management could not care less.

We booked two luxury lodges for a 4 night stay and we had a great time. The lodges were immaculate and were so well kitted out. We walked down to the courtyard and was a beautiful walk. Will definitely be back again.

Overall stay was good. Service when booking was great, service thereafter went a miss. Couldn’t find lodge on arrival (reception was closed) so called emergency phone number, left voice mail but was not called back. Had to ask for directions at local bar. Location was nice but lodges too close together. Also, hot tub was not hot on first evening as it “takes several hours to heat up”- never had this issue when staying elsewhere before. To summarise, the lodge and location were nice, but having paid extra for a hot tub, only to not be able to enjoy it for 1/3 nights, left us a bit disappointed.
