The Inn at English Meadows

A little treasure after a long drive! Quaint but modern bed and breakfast with lots of thought going into a guest's stay. Our room was TINY (it was a basic room) but very comfortable and beautifully styled. It's a very old building so lots of creaks etc but once you get used to it no issues. There's a wine/ honesty bar area, free snacks, delicious cookies and a couple of lounge areas. The backyard fire pit was a favorite with a bottle of wine. Breakfast was delicious - made to order although there wasn't a choice. The best thing is the location. We arrived on a summer Saturday and Kennebunkport was heaving. The Inn is a 10 minute leisurely walk to Kennebunkport but away from all the noise and bustle. Chez Rosa a few doors down was excellent for dinner too. Would recommend!

Beautiful, warm and inviting. The staff is wonderful and Carmen, Property Manager, is amazing. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Great freshly prepared breakfast daily. The Inn is clean and well appointed. Great rooms I chose a room with a fireplace, perfect for December in Kennebunkport. Excellent location, just a few blocks from the main square. I highly recommend staying here.

Sent my daughter and son in law for their anniversary to this beautiful, well appointed and gracious inn. They loved every thing! It was spotlessly clean, had a very comfortable bed, great shower and stocked with every thing you could want! The breakfast was delicious, they last minute accommodated my son in laws allergies. They enjoyed the area and the host was really nice:) ,

The inn was beautiful and breakfast was delicious! Nice outdoor seating area for breakfast at the right time of year, as well as indoor. Everything was very clean and welcoming. There was a nice common area to relax in and a wine station to enjoy your favorite glass of wine. We were only there for 1 night so we chose the smallest room, which was fine. My only complaint is that the shower in that room was really small too. Otherwise, everything was great, very clean! It was a 5-10 minute walk into town where there were lots of cute shops and restaurants. The owner even let us leave our car at the inn after check-out for a few hours so we could walk back into town.

We stayed in Serenity, which was Heavenly. The room is very spacious, inviting, and the bedding was extremely comfortable. Every amenity was provided with a few extra touches here and there. The room is spacious and is located upstairs so there is no one above you, which is a plus when it comes to most bed and breakfast inns. The room is located in a quite hall with just one other room near by. There are lots of areas throughout the Inn with comfortable seating areas and places to just sit and relax. There were cookies set out with hot teas and coffee. There is also a wine machine which does have additional charges. We ordered the brie to be delivered to our room which I would highly recommend! It was so good and perfect after a day out enjoying Kennebunkport. The breakfast came in two courses first with fruit salad with mint and the second two pieces of French toast with sausage. Plan on taking a little time for breakfast. If you come down right at breakfast time, there was a pretty big group, and you have to wait a bit. I did notice another couple came down later and were taken care of pretty quickly. Tables are set up individually and family style. Just a few notes – The floors do creak quiet a bit but is expected with wood floors and we weren’t quite sure if we were above another room, so we tried to be respectful not only to each other but to those possibly below. Also to get to the room, you are navigating through a few small hallways and a set of steep stairs, which was not an issue for us but might be for others. Also although very good the breakfast is not very hearty for most men, both men at our table mentioned going to get something for breakfast afterwards. I would definitely recommend and would love staying at The Inn at English Meadows in the future.

A very nice inn with lots of modern touches. Unusual upscale served breakfast with good service. Floors in our room squeaked as we walked around. Could be that they date back to the 19th century (???). Great location. Fairly easy walk into town. We'd stay here again.
