"To start with the positives: This is one of the few airport hotels with free shuttle transfers which worked well. The room is large and as per the pics, with comfortable bed. Negatives: The hotel "lost" my booking. They said they tried to call me with no answer because my phone was switched off, but when I suggested this may be because I was flying the receptionist said "No...you had switched your phone off". Quite a strange answer & attitude to a guest. She "rebooked" me and I ended up paying more then my original booking price. I stayed two nights, and throughout my stay, I had ZERO TV connection. I told the receptionist, and she (a different receptionist to check in) didnt seem to care at all !! ("it probably needs rebooting").....but despite being told someone would attend to it, nothing was done. For the money I paid, having no TV is ridiculous. Minor issues.....no handle on the shower tap, nowhere to hang a towel in the bathoom (there had been something on the back of the door, but was missing). Despite being listed on the amenities, there was no fridge. (just a gap where it should have been.) Overall, for the money paid, a very disappointing stay and will definitely look for other options on future visits."

"I was very disappointed with the breakfast service at this location of La Quinta. There were no staff members in the breakfast room, and we had to ask for everything just to get something to eat or drink. It felt disorganized and unwelcoming. When I tried to brought up the issue to the front desk associate, he was on the phone for a long period of time, and it seemed he doesn’t care about the guest is waiting. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression on our stay."

"The room was outstanding, very clean and very nice hotel. I will recommend this hotel to everyone its very convenient location and local stores is only 2-3 blocks away . The only reason I give this location 1 face for service because it was my birthday due to 3pm I missed out on my birthday VIP with Meet/Greet & Grab bag from all the vendors at Convention Center . I wasn’t able to check in my room til 3pm so I can get wash / dress up for my birthday celebration and I was extra late and missed out on a big opportunity."

"This motel is special: I’m a motel fan and it is the first motel I’ve ever see that goes with an elevator! it gave me both a surprise and delight that I could easily carry my luggage to the second floor. You can tell the owner knows how to do business: it’s TV is even larger than the one I lived in downtown NOLA—and most important of all, the TV is working very well. Before switching to this motel, I lived in Aloft New Orleans Downtown for 3 nights, with nightly rate above $200, yet I felt quite inconvenient because Aloft lacked this and that. So really, amenities can be new or old, but the sense of the owner to invest in essentials to provide convenience does not necessarily mean that these things have to be “fancy” (but useless). While I wouldn’t say the level of cleanliness was also super—it was ok (though the blankets could have been nicer)—but overall in the world of motels, this one makes me feel that the owner does intend to offer you some needed service."
