Bird of Paradise Bungalows

A hut is simple but well equipped and super clean. surrounding by beautiful garden. you can relax in a hammock during hot afternoon! the owners are friendly and helpful too. highly recommend. still walking distance to pick up point of the shuttle to Vietnam, if you travel light.

Really good price to value ratio. Very nice and friendly staff. The bed was comfortable and there was a hammock on the terrasse. The location on the other end is not the best, missing restaurants on the surroundings and on the other side of a big road.

A very nice and quiet place, and the hostess is extremely helpful. Delicate breakfast is served at the terrace in front of your bungalow. The place is situated close to as well the national park as to the city’s crab restaurant.

We really like the couple who run the place. Super friendly and helpful. We walked the 8 kilometer loop around the national park and enjoyed that. Really great views.

Wifi is okay, 7-10 mbps with vpn. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms are nice and big. No A/C, but provide 2 fans, which are powerful. So not an issue. I just used 1 fan. Close to the market and beach. 3km away is a gym. By tuktuk $2.5. Comes with a seating area outside, breakfast is sent to your seating area. You will come across bugs, regardless if windows are open or closed. Bed has a netting surrounding it, so no bugs at night. You will see small ants in the washroom.

Just spent 5 nights at Birds of Paradise Bungalows and wwwoooowww . Best hospitality we had had in 8 weeks of travelling . Amazing location , 5 minute walk to crab markets and loads of fantastic restaurants ( crazy good seafood ) . These bungalows are really big , impeccably clean beautiful tropical setting with all to services you could need . Steve and Sotheary are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect . Bed was super comfortable ( a rarity in Asian countries), unlimited hot water fantastic breakfasts of which they serve to you on your balcony. Do yourself a favour and look no further than here . Can’t rate our experience high enough .

It was a lovely place and the owner Steve was very helpful. Location was great, we could walk to the crab market and lots of local restaurants easily. The national park was right near to it and we spent a great few hours exploring the park seeing a variety of animals, birds and butterflies. We stayed in a wooden bungalow which was perfect, hammock and bench/chair on the porch, mosquito nets over the beds and a fully equipped bathroom. There was even tea/coffee making facilities and two fans which helped us stay cool. Steve helped us book a tuk tuk for half a day and the bus to Phnom Penh, giving useful advice for the rest of our trip. We hope to return to Kep and would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to everyone who wants to be close to nature.
