Discovery Parks - Bargara

Location: Proximity to a patrolled beach, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the Bundaberg area.

Had a great time at this park. Pros: we had the furthest powered site from the beach and it was only a 5 min walk across the park to the beach. Ample space on our site for our 10 metre van plus 5 metre car. Amenities were old but functional, everything you need. Very close to the centre (walking distance) of town with fish and chip shops, excellent pub, ice cream and trendy clothing stores. Short drive to Woolworths , fuel and chemist. Close to Bundaberg for day trips (20 mins). Cons: bindis are extreme - make sure the kids have their shoes on and don’t bike over any dead grass (they punctured my tire). Town isn’t next door - it is walking distance but 15 mins ish, but it’s a beautiful walk. Camp sites are fairly skinny and quite close to one another. In saying that, our camp site was spacious and we went off season so park was quiet. Overall I would recommend it!

Absolutely beautiful spot... walk across the road to the beach. We stayed 3 niights in Cabin #4 it was ideal, fully self-contained, equipped with a small hot plate , full size fridge/freezer, microwave, sofa, queen bed, reverse cycle air-conditioning, very clean, a security sliding door, and little balcony with a table and chairs. TV & WIFI wouldn't work properly, a number of us mentioned this to the office staff. Small dogs are allowed inside the cabin.
