"Eileen and her neighbors are lifesavers! After an issue with booking through our credit card she put us in a last minute room. She was extremely hospitable and even woke up early to make us breakfast as we were leaving early the next day. I wish we were able to stay longer! The B&B is gorgeous and Eileen is a delight."

Álaind Lodges, Sneem ★★★★

📍 Sportsfield Rd, Moularostig, Kerry

"We stayed at the Alaind Lodge hosted by Trish and Chris for 6 nights while on a 5 day guided hill walking tour of Sneem and the surrounding area with Fergal Harrington owner and mountain guide of Alaind Walking Tours. Trish and Chris have a lovely home and went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. We stayed in a large ensuite bedroom with a very comfortable bed and lovely bedding. Our room had a kettle. Each day we started out with a hardy cooked breakfast of our choice along with yogurt, cereal, toast, cheese and fruit; and a packed lunch was generously included on our hill walk along with some candy! Chris helped us each evening to dry out our shoes and outerwear. We were happy to pay a nominal fee to use their washer for some personal items. Chris and Trish made us feel more like friends than guests. The village is a quick 20 minute walk away and Chris gave us many suggestions for an evening meal at the local pubs. Regarding the guided hill walking: We were extremely lucky that Fergal was running a guided hill walking trip during our visit to Ireland. Not only is Fergal a professional mountain guide, he is a polite, kind and friendly man that is easy to communicate with and fun to spend time with . We started out as strangers and left as friends. Fergal picked us up each day with a plan for a 4-5 hour walk based on our fitness and energy level for the day! Hill walking in Ireland in Dec. is very different from hiking anywhere in the United States. While we were equipped with wool socks, Gortex shoes, rain pants and rain jackets we were not totally equipped for the conditions. Fergal was very kind and lent us gaiters since the ground is very, very wet! He helped us to purchase waterproof socks (yes, there is such a thing... and needed in Ireland!). We felt 100% safe under Fergal's guidance. In addition, on our walks we got to visit amazing places that we never would have found on our own. We'll never forget the Bolus Cliff walk with views of the Skelligs, the fabulous beach, meadow and woodland trails of Derrynane, The Kerry Way Coastal trail with breathtaking wild Atlantic views, the Mass Path and discovering Sneem's Lománagh Loop. Fergal made the whole process of organizing our wonderful walking trip so easy. I have been home for a month now and each day I wake us missing the time I spent in Sneem walking with Fergal and staying at my "home away from home" with Chris and Trish. If you are in the area and desire more than a bus tour of the ring of Kerry, get in touch with Fergal he will design walks/hikes that are perfect for you!"

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa
9.2 (102 reviews)

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa ★★★★★

📍 Muckross Park Hotel, Dromyrourk, Killarney, Kerry

"Beautiful location, excellent hospitality , wonderful food. There is so much to see and do around the hotel and it’s absolutely amazing to come back to a spa after a day full of hiking in and around Killarney National Park."

Iveragh Heights
9.1 (10 reviews)

Iveragh Heights ★★★

📍 Carhan Rd, Carhan Lower, Cahersiveen, Kerry

"I had a good laugh at the reviews 😆. I felt the same way. It has the charm of a hospital room. The staff weren't unfriendly, but I'm used to much better B&Bs in Ireland. The room was very old and the beds were worn out. The carpet was ancient. It wasn't very cozy and lacked charm. It could definitely use a renovation."

Salmon Leap Farm B&B Hotels in Kerry

Salmon Leap Farm B&B

"Sean was welcoming friendly and very helpful. Salmon Leap is a more traditional place to stay than some tourists might want, but it was fine for us. Pretty location in a valley, not too far from Killarney (20 min drive). Delicious local sourced food very nice indeed in sensible portion sizes but Sean is more than happy to provide more if wanted- the breakfast including the coffee was savage (very nice!). Internet works ok which helps as there’s no mobile signal in the valley. Sadly couldn’t get the TV channels to work in the room but there’s a TV in the lounge, and you can use the room TV to watch YouTube/netflix/prime but you’ll need to log into your account which we couldn’t do as they wanted to send security code to our phone- which had no pickup. Didn’t spoil our stay in this lovely farmhouse BnB. Oh and the beds are sooo comfy. And the decor is perfect for visitors as a slice of traditional ireland :) bring your own shower gel/ shampoo, and there was no tea/coffee facility we could find in our room, but neither affected us. We’d really recommend as long as telephone contact and TV don’t matter. Nice."

Murphys Farmhouse B&B Hotels in Kerry

Murphys Farmhouse B&B

"All of them is fantastic, a great and clean room."

The Victoria Hotels in Kerry

The Victoria

"The Victoria is a fantastic hotel with staff to match. Maura was so helpful in organising and recommending our day trip for the Gap of Dunloe and our evening Irish show. The rooms were spacious clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and even though the hotel is a little out of town pickups by the tours were no problem."

The Tides B&B Hotels in Kerry

The Tides B&B

"David and Doreen were wonderful hosts in this lovely Bed and Breakfast. The Tides, located in Ballybunion, is close to the ocean and not far from the interesting town of Listowel. The Tides is also a great base for exploring the Dingle peninsula, and even the Ring of Kerry. The amazing shower and comfortable bed in room 6 are simply wonderful!, and the breakfast is gorgeous! Don't hesitate to book your stay here!"

Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa ★★★★★
"Excellent breakfasts with a stunning view of the lake. A cozy place, but the hotel bills itself as a spa, yet the pool is small and cold, and the tiles are old and peeling. The jacuzzi didn't work. There's no hammam or spa in the relaxation area. They can sometimes provide one separately, as a compliment, but it's located separately. Also, we paid extra for a lake view, but there was a cemetery right in front of it. Such nuances should be mentioned; they ruined the atmosphere."

Glenbrook House ★★★
"The room was clean, and the hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The location isn’t very convenient if you don’t have a car, and it can be difficult to get an Uber in the area. However, if you’re traveling on a budget or driving your own car, this is a solid choice. Overall, I had a pleasant stay."
