Southernmost Beach Resort

Fabulous location, excellent facilities. We loved the shores pool. Always beds available and never too busy. Lovely staff. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect location for your Key West vacation. Several pools to pick from. Casey, the activities director was amazing host providing history of the region as well as engaging activities every day to participate in.

I can honestly say I have never left a negative comment for a hotel but this was a real let down. For the amount of money that we paid to stay a this hotel, we were very disappointed. Our room was extremely small - our closet was a half size closet because of a refrigerator at the bottom - no even tall enough for my husbands shirts to fall without being wrinkled, let alone no room for dresses. No dresser or drawers in the room for clothes as well - just two small nightstands. The water pressure in the room shower was non existent - and the pool located at the Avalon House bleached both mine and my husbands bathing suits about 4 shades lighter - and not cheap suits either, good quality fabrics. Come to find out one of the other couples we vacationed with also had her suit bleached out and was offered a $150 credit for her suit - we were never offered any kind of credit, so I guess I didn't say something to the right person. Oh well - lesson learned, we will not be returning to this hotel.

The grounds and rooms were not very clean, staff was marginally friendly at best, guest room and conference rooms were freezing during a cold snap, ice machines not working, housekeeping arrived very late in the day, nowhere to be found earlier if needed. Overpriced.

We loved the stay here! Everything was great, from the check-in with complimentary room upgrade, to concierge thats very knowledgeable with good recommendations, to the friendly housekeepers, they all made our stay. Thanks!
