Traveling from Mombasa to Amboseli, Bamm Tours courtesy of Francis, arranged a fantastic hotel for us. A special shoutout to the chef who pleasantly surprised the couple we were traveling with by preparing a cake on short notice for their anniversary. We extend our gratitude to Lucy from the front office for her exceptional coordination and to the attentive waiter. The rooms were excellent, breakfast was delightful; however, the single door for both the bathroom and toilet posed a slight discomfort, particularly when traveling with toddlers, as it didn't allow for a private moment. Despite this, our overall experience was amazing!

We had often driven by this place on our way to the Tsavo Parks and been enticed by what appeared to be a nice lodge in leafy grounds. We were not wrong. Circumstances ruled an overnight be taken here on our drive from Nairobi to the Tsavo parks and we arrived close to dark for a one night stay. The evening meal was prepared to our order but having arrived fresh by long haul air we were not hungry enough to put the Chef to much trouble beyond a simple Omelette etc., The standard was high enough to demonstrate a full meal would be well presented had we had the appetite. Sleep was assured and quickly came in a nice clean room. Next morning we awoke to lovely grounds and no traffic noise from the busy A104 just a short drive away. Breakfast again paid tribute to the quality of the food with freshly prepared cooked eggs etc., with juice and cereals to hand as well. Throughout our stay the staff were extremely attentive and helpful and even passed on messages from our friends from whom we had become separated by chance. Whilst waiting to be re-united we explored the leafy grounds and lakeside that had tempted us in earlier drive bys and were not disappointed by the birdlife we found. A great place to overnight and even spend a few days in this lovely area.

This is the best place to visit on your way to Nairobi from Mombasa kenya . They serve delicious food and staff are friendly. Swimming pool is clean and spacious. The stream running along the long lodge attracts alot of different species of birds. It's good for bird watching . different types of monkeys are also enjoyable to watch. Visit as couples and requested for room near swimming pool. Block D to be specific.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Tsavo. The staff were all very welcoming and it was a lovely place to stop. We were surprised that it was so peaceful as it it right on the Mombasa Road but we heard little traffic noise. On our way back from Tsavo we stayed here overnight. We were warmly welcomed back and shown to our lovely room. Wow. It was beautiful. It had a balcony at the back overlooking the lake and it was fun watching the monkeys there. The room had a huge four poster bed with a very very good mosquito net, plenty of pillows and was super comfortable. There was lots of storage and a lovely sofa too. The bathroom also was very big and with lovely toiletries. The one downside was the saloon style swing doors to the bathroom so no privacy while in there. They really need to change those especially as the toilet is in there! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent for dinner as was breakfast. There were tea bags and a kettle in the room but no coffee! Bit difficult if you don't drink tea! I did ask for some but think the request got lost in translation and hot coffee arrived next morning. (which was very welcome anyway) The grounds are lovely and there are a lot of monkeys and baboons around. There is a big swimming pool but we didnt use it, There's a bridge over the lake which is quite bouncy but fun. Overall we enjoyed our time here and it was a good break on the trek back from Tsavo to Nairobi.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Tsavo. The outdoor tables overlook the lake and the gardens which was lovely. Lunch was so good. We had the chicken wings and they were the best I've had for a long time. The soup before was excellent too. On our way back from the safari we stayed overnight. Our room was wonderful! A huge king size bed, very elegant furniture and lots of room. The bathroom was also very big and well appointed. The only downside was the saloon type doors so you couldn't close off the bathroom from the bedroom. Not good when the toilet is in there too! The place would have been a 10/10 if it wasn't for this. Dinner and breakfast were as good as the lunch and I would thoroughly recommend this place. There is a large swimming pool which we didn't have time to use. There is also a bouncy bridge across the lake which was an experience in itself. Considering this Lodge is so close to the main Mombasa Road it is very quiet and peaceful and you don't hear the traffic noise at all.

I read reviews here as per usual but still gave this place a chance. If you also do..... To stay here, you will need to be a super patient person. Loved the gate and the scenery while driving in and general outward appearance. At the reception you notice how empty the hotel is, saw a family check out and 3 staying guests having lunch. Staff is super friendly and when we went to our room it was pure dust. The stairs to the room were dirty. The balcony furniture had cobwebs people...cobwebs. They started cleaning immediately and changed everything. Their is clearly little staff and funds to maintain the whole property. We went to have lunch meanwhile and the starters; soup, took 45 mins. At that point my partner was so mad and wanted a refund. As that was a bureaucratic process, they offered to give us credits to use in their chain. We did not want another bad experience elsewhere so we took alcohol worth our reservation. The manager was helpful and we had our lunch there at least. Which was just ok when it came. If only money would be poured into this place it would attract so many people.
