On arrival we noted 2 very skinny, tattooed scruffy men exiting the hotel to stand and smoke outside. We returned after dinner to find a security vehicle parked out the front and two police officers exiting the elevator as we got in. The next day we saw one of the scruffy men smoking outside the hotel at about midday. I googled halfway houses and this hotel appeared on the search together with a couple of Christian charitable organisations. It is a pity because it is clean and looks like a new hotel. We slept with a suitcase against our door. We kept the curtains closed so the room next door on the diagonal couldn’t see in our room. I could see a person lying on the bed in that room. We didn’t have any trouble at the hotel, but we didn’t feel safe. The pillows are a disgrace, an outer ¼ filled with foam pieces (see the photos).
