The room was quite large, and the location was convenient. Nothing particularly surprising, just average. The only downside was that breakfast needed to be booked a day in advance. We informed them we wanted two breakfasts, but the next day we weren't feeling well and only ordered one. However, the final bill was €25 for two breakfasts – absolutely no discount whatsoever…

Very walkable to downtown Killarney and there is a great pub across the street with music. Breakfast at Herbert was fantastic and reasonable. The owner and staff were very nice. The only thing that could be improved is the carpeting inside the sleeping rooms.

It's a nice house in a good location and I liked the owners and their daughter. But my room wasn't cleaned well enough and I didn't sleep well due to allergies. It needed vacuuming. But would have been comfortable otherwise.

The Herbert House was an elegant gem, hard to find in this day and age. Wonderful breakfast, attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
