Was there with the family. The service was First Class. Thanks Kerry for looking after us. The meal was lovely. The best in the town. Will be back soon. Thank you, you looked after us well. The menu was excellent, Thanks to the chef for his First Class meal.

my freind and I booked this hotel as a stop over before my weekend henny which was going to be in kilmarnock .. staff so so friendly made to feel so welcome . room very clean .bed comfortable .. breakfast cooked to perfection . chef also very friendly.. I have stayed before !!! but this visit was 100% was far more better experience. I will sure be back that's for sure well worth money

Had a weekend stay here with friends. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and had all we needed, beds were comfy, tea and coffee making facilites were topped up each day. Some little packs of biscuits would have been a nice touch so we had something to nibble on until breakfast. Shower worked well, water nice and hot and bathroom nice and clean. We never ate at the hotel so cannot comment on the food but it always smelt nice. Would happily stay here again

Lovely staff, clean and comfy rooms, lovely food, we stayed for my daughters wedding, couldn't fault the place. Highly recommended, Les Haggath. Part of the Mark and Lindsayanne wedding party. Xx

Room had only one bedside table and lamp even though it was a double room No hairdryer No dressing table only a mirror No shelf even to put anything on Paid 9 pounds each for breakfast which had 2packets of cereals No fruit or anything else Juice Then we had a cooked breakfast of greasy square sausage egg and bacon which had been pre cooked and was inedible Apalling to charge this amount Hotel is also in dire need of refurbishment I would not recommend a stay here The only good aspect was the helpful friendly staff

Had a meal at The Douglas Hotel Kilmarnock. Been put off eating here because of previous and previous waiters reviews. Not a huge menu, (a two or 3 course at set price)with traditional food, steak pie, fish& chips, macaroni... but wow....Harry the chef is just amazing, the food was delicious, steak pie is yummy, so light.definitely recommend, 😋 will be going there more often in the future. Janine the waitress was lovely too, very bubbly and helpful. Just perfect!

When you are in Kilmarnock visiting the Grand Hall for a show and are looking for somewhere really nice to stay overnight after your show then the place that I'm about to review is the place for you and that place is The Douglas Hotel located on London Road just up the road from the theatre which was quite handy and convenient for us. I stayed at The Douglas Hotel last night with my family when we were in Kilmarnock to see Nathan Carter at the Grand Hall and had an absolutely lovely stay with very friendly staff, clean room with comfy bed and a delicious breakfast served and cooked by Lindsay the breakfast chef who makes a delicious breakfast. Thank you to everyone for a lovely stay and hope to see you again.

We stayed for two nights last week and loved all the renovations that have been done by the new owners. The bedroom was comfy and spotless with a king size bed. The evening meal was really excellent and great value for money, The bar/waiting staff were all so accommodating and showed us around the function suites and facilities. I loved the draping and fairy lights on the back wall of the function suite it really made the room. Its been a few years since we had been to the area to visit family with all the restrictions, but the restaurant and rooms have all had a lot of time, energy and money put into them. The young girl on reception was so helpful and we will be back

AVOID AVOID AVOID Attended a function a couple of weeks ago. The hotel is disgusting dirty windows, tables glasses. Bar staff in the Wallace suite was happy to tell her she had been up on it since the Thursday morning (we were in Saturday night) she continues to drink and take ***** while on shift. While on the other hand I don’t have a bad thing to say about the young man who was also on the bar. There were kids running about. The manager learn to smile it’s not that bad and acutally run the hotel
