We found this air BNB on buy a gift after receiving a 2 day break voucher for my birthday. We had to upgrade to have this hotel (additional £59) bringing the total to £159 once this room was booked (actually price of £99 which was annoying but wasn't the owners fault). On buy a gift it stated that each room had a toilet and we would be on the top floor. Once I received booking confirmation we were actually on the ground floor and sharing a toilet/bath which I could deal with however when we arrived the bathroom is in the kitchen so didn't really like using it. There was a toilet upstairs for guests to use also but everyone came downstairs causing backlogs and the toilet didn't flush properly because of it. The rooms are very small and incredibly hot. The bed itself was very small and my OH is over 6 foot so wasn't brilliant for him and we couldn't be near eachother all night because of the heat. Other occupants weren't very considerate of how thin the walls are. Lots of arguments, banging our door etc. No extractor fan so all the heat/smell from the kitchen was coming in to the rooms. Other couples were cooking and leaving food/washing up everywhere. Felt very uncomfortable going to use the bathroom 1) because it's in the kitchen 2) you feel like your walking through someone's home with washing and food everywhere. We tried watching the TV to cover the noise of the other guests but the WiFi wasn't working so no luck there. We tried one night but unfortunately gave up and went to a chain hotel down the road. This is okay for single travelers I'd say, but definitely shouldn't be on buy a gift as a hotel experience for couples as it definitely isn't a hotel. No staff available either all done via text. Parking is a 5-10 minute walk away so travel light, not fun lugging it down the road. Due to the small size of the room it was also very hard to move about/not get in each other's way the whole time

As far as the stay I honestly couldn’t fault it my bed was super comfy I stayed in the queen suite with shared bathroom it was spotless and warm too Helen had the radiators on and an electric blanket in the bed which was much welcomed as I stayed mid- January. If you do stay in this room just switch the blanket on and wait an hour you might not be able to feel it to the touch but once you get into bed you’ll feel it. There was plenty of tea & coffee plus nice little touches like water chocolate & tissues. I didn’t arrive until 8pm and I struggled to get in the main door after 5 or so attempts the system locked me out in the end so I messaged Helen and within ten minutes she called me and talked me through it until I got in both doors luckily it resets itself after a couple of minutes she said to let her know if I was cold and she could turn the radiator up which I thought was lovely she was brilliant and I would stay here again. One tiny little complaint is no tv channels at all hopefully that gets sorted as it would be annoying if mine wasn’t a flying visit.

Upon arrival, i walked into the room to find no bathroom, considering the room when booking didn’t state shared bathroom till i got there, half way through the week the radiators broke and had to contact the people to get it fixed but it was too late because was checking out that day, it was a clean room and clean bathroom and not a bad price but i dont think i will be staying here again

Originally helen (the owner) communicated well. We had a 2 day stay at the place. When we opened our door we have a 3 decline into our room of which we was not told about. On the second day, as I walked out our room, I noticed some oil dripping out of the door closer which went onto my arms and clothing.. I really was not happy as it ended up ruining my top completely, even after washing it smells of oil. I reported this immediately to her and she got someone to fix it. I asked about my clothing and there was no reply. I asked her to come and meet me to see the clothing and I was ignored completely and even until now. I had to report this to ******* who contacted them. I was then disgusted to read what the owner had put about me. She told them that I had manipulated the door to do this and she has reason to believe this ?? There are infact cameras all on the corridor infact right out side my door, she can look in there and clearly see if I had done this to myself or not. I know I never but the fact that she accused me of doing this myself convinced me to write this honest report. They are fine communicating with you up until a problem occurs. Instead of coming to talk to me and be reasonable and respect she chose to accuse me 😞. I’m already going through the death of my father suddenly but then having someone accusing you of things is just another. All these people are interested in, is the money and that’s it.

Place is nice and clean, but the walls are paper thin and the advert is inaccurate with regards to you having the 'entire place to yourself'. It's essentially a shared house. I ended up just leaving and booking another place. I'd personally avoid, as it really is a gamble who you'll be sharing with.

Definitely yes. I booked this last minute after being let down by another place. Helen literally saved the day. I spent 2 nights there. Beautiful clean cozy rooms. Didn’t know I could use kitchen downstairs but now I know I will be making this my first choice each time I’m in kings Lynn

We booked an overnight stay to be near the hospital for visiting. On arrival we struggled with keyless entry at first and the stairs were very steep and narrow up to 1st floor . A shared bathroom was next-door to our room and unfortunately the smell coming from there was absolutely disgusting, luckily it was not in our room. The room was very hot and very noisy from traffic if windows were opened , so grateful for the fan .We had tea and coffee making facilities and the usual things you would expect however one bedside lamp did not work and the towels did not smell fresh or clean .The bed was uncomfortable ,duvet covers were not ironed and on waking we pulled duvet back to air the bed and realised we had slept on dirty sheets that were stained It was an awful experience I did not feel refreshed as I should have , we will not use Bricksage again and I definitely would not recommend anyone else to stay there .
