We are a family of 5. We made sure that we check that we had 2 beds and a sofa the day of the stay 06/13/2025. Got the room and it was 1 bed. We went down to the front office so we could get that room we asked for and they said they were over booked and couldn't do anything about it. My mom being the woman she is didn't let that slide so she went to the front office to figure out what's going on they said the manager will call. The manager did saying they got a new room for us it is a one bed bedroom and the other half will stay in the first room. We got to the second room and it smelled like cigarettes and pizza.

No expectations of sleep or privacy here. Was awoken by my neighbor’s phone conversation in a normal tone at 6:30. Heard every word with utter clarity. Thank God it was only a phone call. Also only place to charge a phone or device is in the bathroom. Rundown and a bit shabby. Stay if you have to but this place has seen better days.

Very clean rooms. Breakfast was good- alot of variety. Front desk staff on Wednesday Jan 2025 was awesome when the power went out for an hour or so. Power was out on that side of town due to the ice storm. We were offered flashlights. The front desk staff was so kind to a family that came to check in that had a child in a wheelchair. She went above and beyond. Two of the treadmills were out of order (before the power even went out). I was able to use the elliptical. My husband wished that had some hand weight to use like some other Fairfield hotels have. We have stayed at this specific hotel several times on our way to and from Florida and are always happy there.

I guess this is what happens when a major hotel chain concentrates its effort on new concepts and properties. As a Bonvoy member with a gazillion points, this experience only reminds me why I am using up my Bonvoy points and concentrating my efforts on Hyatt and Hilton. I'm not that hard to please but a comfortable bed, working internet, and a clean room (with a non-cleaning smell are about all I really expect). This dump fails on all counts!

Very disappointed in this hotel. Definitely not up to Marriott standards. Had a reservation for 4/9/2024. Went to room and took a shower. Went to the bed and pulled back the covers only to find a big black bug. Can’t stay in a room with bugs in the bed. We didn’t want to cause a ruckus at the desk because people were in line to check in so we left and called Marriott Reservations. They said they’d call and cancel our reservations. They didn’t. Stayed at another Fairfield Inn in Hardeeville SC. Kingsland Fairfield refused to refund our room fee of $166. Marriott Reservations is backing up the hotel. We are Platinum Elite members for over 20 years and a time share member. Unacceptable.

This is the absolute worst hotel I've ever encountered in my life. Room #1- was filthy and had a baby spider on the bed. It was so small, I thought it was an ant. I was transferred to another room/suite, since I'm a Titanium member, it was an upgrade. I moved to room 221 and it was larger and cleaner but there was another baby spider on the bed which I had to kill. I left this hotel on 11/16/23 at 1230am in the morning/late night and had to drive to Savannah, GA to a decent Bonvoy hotel. I'm so content at the Courtyard Marriott- Pooler/Airport and I'll never ever go back to Kingsland Fairfield. They should be detached from the Bonvoy brand.

Courtni (Night Audit) was very helpful with a late check in. She was professional and met all the Marriott standards for an exemplary check in experience. The room was very nice. The property provided me with everything I needed for a good night’s sleep.

Wow have things gone down hill. I have stayed here in the past on my way to florida but no more. Never a great place but it does need more work now. Bathtub has a dirty ring around the drain and the grab bar is stained and rusted. The light in the sitting room has enough dust on it I was able to write clean me on it. Oh and the chair next to the lamp has a bunch of nice long hairs on it. I know the bed is comfortable and I'm any staying the night so we'll put up with it. Next year somewhere new.

I booked a reservation at this hotel 2 months in advance for 3 rooms. I received a call about 10 days prior to my stay stating that they were cancelling the reservation because they were overbooked. I've been a loyal Marriott customer for over 20 years and this had never happened before. I asked the hotel what to do and they told me to just look for 3 rooms elsewhere. At that point, most hotels were booked or the rates went up significantly. I guess my reservation was pointless or I wasn't as valuable as others even though I'm lifetime platinum elite. I won't be staying here any longer.
