The location of the hotel is quite convenient, the staff's service attitude is good! But the facilities in the room are not ideal! First, when I booked a room from Trip.com, the fee I paid was a "premium king double room", but after arriving at the hotel, the store even downgraded me and arranged your "standard twin room" for me, return Some in-room bathroom shower is broken, the employee did not change the room for me, just briefly handled it.

The hotel hosted a dinner dance for 120 people which I attended recently in the beautiful Duke Ballroom. The food was excellent, the bar service was very efficient and overall the staff were extremely attentive which made for a fantastic evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening - thank you to all involved.

I had yet another trip to the Duke of Gordon Hotel and whilst there visited The Enchanted Forest at Pitlochry which was stunning and also the Highland Wildlife Safari Park for the second time seeing animals I hadn't seen before in their own environments. The Hotel was welcoming and I was soon able to make new friends which is why I so enjoy going on holiday with this firm. The meals are far better than you would expect, a five course evening meal and and huge choice for breakfast. My own dietary needs were taken care of too. I am looking forward to March when I visit the Duke of Gordon again and also to the trip I plan with Cairngorm Travel to the Isle of Man next year. A perfect atmosphere for those who are alone and want a well-planned break and good company on their holidays.

Really love decor of this hotel. Beautiful Plaster of Paris on the ceilings and lovely Ballroom with chandeliers and lovely paintings in bedroom, corridors and Balmoral Restaurant. Very much enjoyed the Tattie scones (potato in flour, fried in batter), also enjoyed the Haggis as part of the full English breakfast. For the breakfast it would be good to have fruit compote with the plain yoghurt as well as there being fruit. The drinks at the bar I had were extremely lovely, the cooked breakfast was nice and cold and refreshing Dark Fruits Vodka and lemonade and Strawberry Gin and lemonade at Ghillies Bar. Entertainment good and Enchanted Forest and Highland Wildlife Park spectacular. Cosy hotel room and tea and coffee provided. Enjoyed the tea after our evening meal, it would be great if the tea was in a teapot to stop tea overbrewing. Enjoyed the quiz night and enjoyed that after getting back from the Enchanted Forest, tea, coffee and hot chocolate was provided. Enjoyed the meals, the steak pie was excellent, the Forest Fruit pudding with custard was very tasty. The other desserts didn't have the balance of ingredients in the dessert, the chocolate mousse had too much whipped cream in it, so the white chocolate and dark chocolates couldn't be tasted because of the amount of whipped cream and the Chocolate mousse was slightly bitter. Waiting staff very friendly, table clearing ok, but with the table clearing this needs to slow down, to ensure customers have finished eating before taking plates and askimg a question of how was your food? I like the TV in the room. Tea and coffee in room was good, topped up everyday, hot chocolate may be a good addition. Reception staff friendly. Beautiful view from hotel window of mountains and nice walk at back of hotel and liked that in front of the hotel there was a board with the history of it. I also liked that the reception board said about the entertainment on the night. Enjoyed my stay.

Won't be paying a second visit. Dated. Food not good especially evening meal. So we ate out. Joes chippy diner was great in the town. Room wasn't good really old furniture and bathroom was grubby. Tried to make us sit round a big table for meals. I said I can't my son as ADHD and becomes stressed. Very abrupt with me. Then the time I did stay for a meal there was a big hair in my food. So went to the co-op for a sandwich.my friend in a separate room got accused of smoking in the room. He had left the tobacco lid off his tin and that caused the smell. He said driver couldn't even tell him which mountain Nevis was. 😂 I said you should have asked someone in town. I had booked for March again prior to going but changed it before I went. So I'm glad I did now. Will go to Northumberland with them now. So it was a pretty disappointing holiday

Went on a coach trip so everything was planned for us, breakfast time, evening meal (6.30) food was good but not much choice. Entertainment ok but geared for the older generation, most staff very accommodating apart from a couple of the bar staff who insisted on closing the bar at 10.30 or even earlier one night !!!! Even though room information states bar open 11am - 11pm No other pub in Kingussie so we were stuck in the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable same with the bathroom apart from behind the sliding door I think whoever cleaned it should close the door with them inside then they could give it a proper clean.

I stayed for one night, having had to alter my booking beforehand, with no fuss from the hotel. Reception staff Tracy and Laura were very friendly. The bedroom was modest but adequate for my visit. A comfortable bed, warm room with radiators that can be controlled by the occupant, unlike many hotels. Constant hot water on demand. Breakfast was a buffet style with tea or coffee brought to your table. A good choice of hot dishes and continental style as well. Some of the hotel possibly could do with upgrading but I had no issues. I hope to return again.
