Hot spring hotel in an area renowned for its hot springs. I deliberately chose the Japanese tatami-style to experience more of the local culture. As you can see from the photos, the view from my room was really nice! I also like the fact that both dinner and breakfast were included, as there isn't much around. Very comfortable stay overall, but mind you - the smell of sulphur (possibly?) from the hot springs is always there!

Great and serviceable. The location takes time to get to but you can manage a 40 minute bus ride it’s worth it. The water is so relaxing and the onsen is amazing to see. Great for families.

Very bad. The facilities are old. The food is bad. The room charged such price is not fair. Don’t book!

My sincerest gratitude to the professional service and helpfulness of the front desk staff in particular the Div. Manager, Mr. Atsuyoshi Kubota, who patiently search for available medical service during late hours for treating my wife's injury and also voluntarily arrange a staff to accompany us to the hospital. Ram Kumar, the accompanying staff, is instrumemental in our communication to the medical personnels and he is so kind to arrange late dinner for us at the hotel's discretion. They not only demonstrate the highest level of professionalism but also their genuine care of the well being of the customers. Once again, big big thanks to Mr. Kubota and his team of beautiful people. By the way, good breakfast and dinner, both in terms of the menu as well as service and venue.

It's a revamped hotel with new facilities! The tidiness and clean impressed me! The breakfast and dinner buffet were in good quality as well especially the beef. Highly recommend!

It takes about 35 minutes by bus from Kagoshima Airport to Maruo Onsen bus stop. There is a slight slope right in front, but it is convenient because the hotel is only 2-3 minutes away. Since it is a large hot spring hotel, it also has a well-equipped gift corner. The characteristic of this place is that it offers a variety of buffets. In particular, in winter, it is very popular with locals because it offers unlimited crab. The hot spring bath is large and the open-air hot spring is well-equipped.

The facilities are a bit old, especially the tatami mats, which are very shabby and stained socks and pants are everywhere. The location is not suitable for people who like to shop around. There is only one Lawson nearby and there are very few shops. The fog sold in the hotel The island specialty snacks are very sweet. Another thing is that the smell of hot springs is very bad. The smell of hot springs is everywhere within a few kilometers of the hotel, and it is even stronger in the room. I suggest friends who don’t know what hot springs smell like to choose carefully. The location of the hotel is quite good. It is located in the middle of Kirishima Mountain. It has a quiet environment and is very close to nearby attractions. You can also overlook the curling smoke of Sakurajima Island in the distance. Although the hotel is labeled as a three-star hotel, it is actually a good choice for families on vacation. The hotel has spacious hot springs, rock baths, and even mud baths. Other entertainment facilities are also available. The room is not very spacious, but comfortable and clean. The room I chose included two meals, both in buffet style, which were very rich and delicious. Next time you go to Kirishima for vacation, this hotel will be your first choice

The room type I booked was [Deluxe Twin Room with Semi-Open-Air Hot Spring], but when I checked in, the front desk clerk said that the room did not have a hot spring. It should be just a semi-open-air bathtub! (It’s just that hot water is not a hot spring.) Because we have tattoos, we can’t go to public hot springs. We have to pay an extra 1,650 yen for a limited-time private bath. I feel that trip.com shows that the room booked has a semi-open-air hot spring.

The reservation includes one hotel room and two meals (dinner and breakfast), all in buffet style. There are separate dining periods so that there will not be too many people and it will not feel crowded. The quality of the hot springs is also very good and can be used until 12:00 in the evening. It only takes a quarter of an hour to drive from the hotel to the Takachiho Golf Course, the third-ranked golf course in Kagoshima Prefecture. The natural environment of the golf course is very good, and there are wild animals. The hotel facilities are relatively old; the hot springs are good, especially the sulfur hot springs. The environment is excellent. The service is in place.

The hotel is located near Kirishima Onsen Street. There are many parking lots and there are many options for staying and eating. The front desk staff is very polite and patiently answers questions.
