Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa (Adults-Only)

I am rating this establishment with 1 star due to concerns regarding their treatment of patrons. A distressing incident occurred wherein a friend fell in the bar area and received no assistance despite her request for aid and need for emergency medical attention. Subsequently, she was denied re-entry despite holding a membership and being on Disability. This experience has raised doubts about the establishment's priorities, particularly evident when inquiring about amenities such as phone charging stations and lockers. In light of these observations, I would recommend Orlando Swingers Club as an alternative, as they exhibit a superior approach to customer care and business management. Additionally, it has come to my attention that another company hosting meetups at the same establishment did not receive adequate support, indicating a deficiency in company policy. Do not go as a single person. The security staff if you want to call them that are ridiculously rude about everything they think you should know their strange rules..lol...awful...no walking around the hotel ...no room rental to single people..no walking around with a drink ...it gets ridiculous. Gorgeous inside the black gate and stay there...lol. The security people act like they hate the guests...they are beyond rude. They only calmed down when I said...ok...enough...I will go get my money back and leave. Ridiculous behavior. Then they calmed down. I wouldn't go here ever again. Just not worth the time... money...effort...to be treated poorly by their staff as a single person. Period. They should just not allow singles if they are gonna charge triple and treat them poorly. Ridiculous. Never again.

We’ve been here five times and LOVE IT! Can’t find anything like this place in the US, take advantage! The accommodations vary wildly between rooms since they are all individually owned condos so book early to get a good room in a good location (interior rooms closer to the party but louder, pick an exterior room if you like to go to bed early or sleep in with some peace). Food at the restaurant is ok, we normally just Instacart groceries so we have lots of snacks in the room and go out for early dinner. Save money by keeping drinks in your room and going back up for drink breaks VS buying at the pool bar all day. Can’t wait to go back!

It’s an okay place to stay, especially for those in the lifestyle. My issue is with the way they charge you for entry to their club every single night, even if you are not there to attend the night parties. I honestly wouldn’t have an issue with it, if it was written somewhere or on their website. It is not. Also, the two employees running the playrooms were two of the rudest people I have ever seen working hospitality. The rooms were to close at 4am, we arrived at 3am to nothing but attitude from the staff. Be honest about your cost and fees. Train your staff and let them know 4am means 4am. We may drop in another time but we will never, ever stay on property again.

I will never return to this place. I have stayed on the premises and visited Secrets many times. Many people, including staff, know who I am. I visited on a day pass with friends (four people) on August 17, 2024. We rented a cabana and, for $600, received one bottle of Casa Amigos, one bottle of Titos, Red Bull, pineapple juice, water, and club soda. Crazy prices, but okay, we knew that. After being there several hours and only drinking the alcohol purchased through the cabana in broad daylight, I stepped out of the pool yard gate but was still on the premises at all times and within view to use the only restroom approximately 25 feet away. Our cabana was in full view of this gate and the gate attendant. When I tried to reenter from the bathroom, I was denied entry. I was told because I had a cup in my hand with alcohol, I could not go back in. I explained that it came from them and provided proof. My friends and I had been there all day, in plain view, drinking what we had bought right in the cabana.  $600 for two bottles of alcohol and some juice!! The gate attendant saw me leave with it, go to the restroom 25 feet away, and return no less than 5 minutes later, then refused entry and refused to verify my story with any staff but had no problem presenting the bill to my guests, was waiting for me a few feet away. Additionally, they added two more bottles to the bill that we did not order or open, bringing the bill to almost $1000. I understand entirely making sure that people do not enter with foreign alcohol purchased off-premise. But my friends and I were on a day pass, spent hundreds in a cabana in full view, drinking alcohol purchased there all day, and I did not ever leave the premises. If I can spend $600 and you are trying to charge me $1000 and at the same denying me entry because I have your alcohol in my hand, we have a severe problem. When asking for a manager, it was dismissed, and the two people onsite with my bill and the gate attendant were the only ones I was afforded.  This is a dishonest practice and not a place I would recommend spending money or expecting to be treated fairly. As a result, I will never return, and I will make sure to post this review whenever possible to let people know.

The reason why I'm giving Secrets a 1 star is because I really want everyone to see the truth about Secrets. Hey, are very they don't know how to treat people I had a lady friend and she failed by the bar area and they did not care about it at least some people came over to help her up and she did ask them to call 911 so she can go to the ER and she went back and found out she can not come back and she also had a membership and And after that she cannot even come and she is also on Disability and the managers and owners did not even care about her falling because they did not even ask her how she is doing and all they care about is making money and you can see that when you get there by looking around and asking about stuff like phone changing station and lockers when you go to the play area because you can't bring in anything even a smartwatch with you when you go in the play area I do recommend Orlando Swingers Club they know how to treat people and run a company that is better for everybody in the lifestyle and they do have the best prices and membership benefits and VIP Packages so check them out when you are in Orlando Florida!!
