A&B Cozy Apartment
"The location was very convenient easy to access and close to key amenities. The space itself was clean and well arranged, and the beds were comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The host was responsive and helpful whenever we reached out, which we really appreciated."
Le Voyage Resort
Aturukan Hotel
"After a stay of three nights, it's become obvious that the Aturukan has fallen on hard times. Despite an outward appearance that speaks of a nice resort-style hotel and prices that are comparable to what one pays in the US, it's obvious that the drip-drip of deferred maintenance has taken its toll. The ceiling fan in the room just grinds and barely turns, the coffee machine in the lobby still hasn't been fixed in the two years since we last stayed here, and there's no hot water in the bathroom sink, to name just a few examples. Burned out light bulbs that have never been replaced is another feature. During our stay just before the holidays in December, it appears there may have been two or three other rooms occupied; otherwise, it was near ghostly in its quietude. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, but they are at the mercy of ownership that has refused to invest in necessary upkeep. In the restaurant, it's obvious that they've skimped on kitchen staff as well."
Superbreak Hotel
"Food lovers, take note: Super Break Hotel’s restaurant is a must-visit! I indulged in their nyama choma, a perfectly grilled, smoky delight, and the kuku choma, which was tender, flavorful, and paired with delicious local sides. The chefs clearly take pride in their craft, and every dish was a celebration of authentic flavors. The inviting bar, with its well-curated selection of drinks, was the perfect spot to unwind, whether sipping a cold Tusker beer or enjoying a handcrafted cocktail."
Cranes Suites Hotel
"We were on such a special trip for me and my wife, visiting the areas where her family grew up. This hotel was an important part of our trip. I liked everything about it. The staff were kind, the location was perfect, the rooms were lovely and the food in the restaurant was delicious. One incident serves as a summary of the stay. In the restaurant we ordered some biscuits to come with a hot drink. It took a really long time (but the staff were apologetic). When the biscuits finally arrived we realised the reason they had taken a long time was because they had been baked to order, for us! To say sorry for it taking so long they gave us a big bag of fresh biscuits (many more than what was included in our order) to take away, for free! It is these little touches that really make a place for me- it deserves to do very well."
