"Right outside the subway station is Jiefangbei, and the scenery is absolutely stunning, though it can be a bit confusing to navigate. But no worries if you get lost, the customer service staff will guide you to the hotel. Check-out was super fast too. A hidden gem in the heart of Jiefangbei】 My first trip to Chongqing led me to choose the Shanshi Executive Suite Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong Branch), and it far surpassed all my expectations! 📍Prime Location: The hotel is perfectly situated in the core business district of Jiefangbei, truly 'walkable to everything'. In just a few minutes, you can reach Hongyadong and Jiefangbei. It was incredibly pleasant to take a leisurely stroll back to the hotel after enjoying the night views. The subway station and taxi stands are all nearby, making transportation incredibly convenient. 🌃Stunning Views: The front desk staff was exceptionally thoughtful and arranged a high-floor room for me. Staying on the 35th floor, the massive window was like a living painting of the river and city nightscape! Sitting by the window at night, the lights of the two rivers were fully visible, and Chongqing's magical, three-dimensional night view unfolded right before my eyes. This experience alone was absolutely worth the room rate. 🏠Spacious and Well-Equipped: The room was very spacious, with a simple and modern design. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the entire space bright and airy. The gym had a full range of equipment, and the lobby was grand and comfortable, perfectly fitting the executive suite's positioning. 🍽Breakfast Delight: I must give a special shout-out to the breakfast! It offered a great balance of healthy light options (abundant salads, fruits, and yogurt) and local specialties—the Chongqing noodles tasted incredibly authentic! What was even more surprising were the exquisite desserts like durian mille-feuille, and the coffee quality was also excellent. Starting the day felt like a real treat. 💁Attentive Service: From the patient arrangements by the front desk to the meticulous housekeeping service, you could feel the hotel's dedication. For first-time visitors to Chongqing, this thoughtful service greatly alleviated any apprehension about an unfamiliar city. Overall, this hotel almost perfectly met all a traveler's needs for 'location, views, comfort, and experience'. If you also want a Chongqing trip where you can enjoy the mountain city's night view from your room and explore the core attractions on foot, this is definitely the top choice! I've already recommended it to friends, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chongqing."

"For our Chinese New Year family trip to Chongqing, we stayed 2 nights at the Hyatt and 2 nights at the Westin. Both have their pros and cons, especially since there's a significant price difference, so it really depends on how you compare them. The biggest, absolute biggest advantage of the Grand Hyatt is its location. Step outside and you're right on the pedestrian street, a stone's throw from Jiefangbei, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere in the vicinity. Another major plus is its direct connection to the Grand Metropolitan shopping mall. It’s essentially its own building, with no other hotels sharing the space. When we first arrived, the mall seemed a bit deserted with many stores closed, but we gradually discovered that all the restaurants were Michelin-starred, and there was even a cinema and arcade games. The executive room came with a Dyson hairdryer, which was a nice touch. The bakery on the first floor is also excellent. We didn't get to try the roast duck upstairs, as it apparently requires advance booking. The executive lounge offers a live noodle station in the evening, but the other dishes felt more like fillers. The welcome fruit, a dried local specialty called 'baba gan', was a thoughtful touch. The downsides are also quite apparent. Primarily, the breakfast was very mediocre. The room view was poor; I knew beforehand it was a city view, but it was almost non-existent. Furthermore, we encountered a few unpleasant incidents. We arrived at 12 PM to check in and were told the room wasn't ready and would be available around 2 PM, suggesting we go for lunch first. I asked if we could get a room with a better view, and they said they'd give us one on the 35th floor. After lunch, when we returned at 2 PM, we were informed the room still wasn't cleaned and they could only offer us one on the 32nd floor. Later, when we wanted an extra blanket, we called multiple times, but it never arrived. Out of frustration, we had to contact Trip.com for a blanket for the first time. Despite these minor inconveniences, I still recommend it. Even after staying at the Westin, I still felt the location here was undeniably superior. The conclusion is that if you can overlook the breakfast and the window view, this Hyatt is definitely a viable option, especially considering the more affordable price."

"1. The service and attentiveness of the hosts are wonderful! They recommend you places to go, to eat and are always on standby to answer your questions. I have never stayed at an accommodation where the hosts are this attentive and nice! 2. The apartment was clean! And the beds were comfy with ample pillows. 3. The location was great! It’s opposite Westin and was a stones throw from the Main shopping street where there was also the monument. If you are travelling with a baby like we are, there were 3 steps to the apartment lobby and a few more steps to the Main Street. You could avoid it easily by taking a different route - still VERY near 4. The location of the apartment is also really near to the famous cable car! Just down the road. You could walk! 5. The price of this apartment is better than others in the same building. We compared it and it really is WAY CHEAPER! 6. It’s quiet!! Although very near to Main Street (Jiafangbei) 7. Washer dryer was easy to use! Really good to have especially when you’re packing light and travelling with a baby. Free laundry pods are provided. If you’re thinking twice about where to stay, just book this one."

"When it comes to serviced apartments, the well-established Ascott is still the most reliable choice. The decor and hardware facilities maintain the style from back in the day, catering to expat executives from foreign companies, especially the kitchen – I absolutely love it, even though I don't cook. I originally booked a luxurious hotel in Jiefangbei, but then I changed to this one to watch the drone show, and it was absolutely the right decision. Getting a taxi in Jiefangbei is just too difficult. This location is convenient for everything, perfect for traveling with seniors. You can walk to Hongyadong, and Chaotianmen Square is right downstairs. Taking a taxi to other attractions isn't far either. Ordering takeout to eat in the room is also great for seniors to rest."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to the Jiefangbei business district. **Amenities:** The free Wi-Fi is fast and great for streaming videos. **Environment:** The room is quite spacious, and the three-fixture bathroom (toilet, shower, sink) is a fantastic feature, allowing multiple people to use it without disturbing each other. **Cleanliness:** The room was cleaned and tidied daily. **Service:** They have a WeChat concierge service that is very responsive and helpful. We came from an expensive 民宿 where the surroundings were beautiful but the bed was unsuitable for sleep. "Came to Chongqing for Chinese New Year, with a layover at Jiangbei Airport. The hotel is very close to Jiangbei Airport and also very close to Metro Line 10; the subway entrance is right across the street. It's clean and tidy, offering great value for money. There are parks, food streets, and supermarkets nearby. They offer free luggage storage and free airport shuttle service. Highly recommended!"
