"First time here, stayed on the executive floor, and overall I was quite satisfied. The front desk service was excellent; there was a young man whose Mandarin was clear and fluent, and he was very warm and attentive. He processed our early check-in, introduced the hotel's free shuttle bus, and even lent us a universal adapter. I think his name was A**son – I made a note of it at the time, but I've forgotten half of it since… A special shout-out to him! (May 2nd) The downside is that the hotel was too cold… The central air conditioning couldn't be turned off, and the fan was noisy at night. Also, I hope the executive lounge adds more staff who can speak Mandarin."

Hotel near Central and Admiralty,Hong Kong
Within walking distance of one of Hong Kong's business and financial centers as well as several shopping malls, the Garden View Hong Kong puts the Peak Tram Station, the trendy "Lan Kwai Fong" night club district and Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Garden at guests' doorsteps. Several public transportation options and the MTR Central Station are also conveniently near.Spacious hotel rooms and suites overlooking the city with panoramic garden views, offer optimal comfort with full service at a reasonable price. Suites come with fully-equipped kitchens.

"I recommend this hotel, not because of its warm service – in fact, I was quite dissatisfied with the front desk staff, who were expressionless throughout and didn't seem friendly or welcoming. However, the hotel offers great value for money and is just a stone's throw from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, making it incredibly convenient for getting to Central. I was staying in the Kai Tak area of Kowloon and only chose to stay here for one night specifically to visit the gardens, and it was the right choice – the price was affordable and the room size was suitable. However, I do think Hong Kong hotels should learn from their Japanese counterparts; since it's a service industry, a warm and friendly attitude is always necessary. Even if it's just for a few minutes, they should at least pretend! It's no wonder my friends choose to fly directly to Japan for holidays instead of Hong Kong; it truly has a lot to do with the quality and attitude of Hong Kong hotels. Compared to the slippers provided by the hotel and the ones I brought myself, it's as if Hong Kong hotels provide nothing at all... All in all, I would recommend this hotel to friends, and I hope that next time I see the front desk staff, they will combine professionalism with a smile – the two are not mutually exclusive."

"The hotel offers airport shuttle service, which made it super easy to find. All the staff were incredibly polite. I was a bit worried at first, but my actual experience was fantastic. The driver was very courteous, and the shuttles were always on time. Both the front desk and restaurant staff were very polite and accommodating. Overall, a great experience! If you're going to Disneyland, this is definitely my top recommendation – excellent value for money. For the return trip from Disneyland, it's just two subway stops to Tung Chung, and if you time it right, there's a shuttle to take you back to the hotel. The breakfast is quite good for a four-star hotel, and the lobby feels more like a five-star. The room was a bit small, but that's normal for Hong Kong."

"The hotel location is excellent—very convenient and close to the MTR station, making it easy to get around the city. The staff are also friendly and helpful, which made the stay more comfortable. However, the downside is that the room furniture feels quite worn out and very old, which takes away from the overall experience. "Location was convenient; near the Mong Kok Station, however there's no lift and the escalator does not reach all the way to the street level. There's still a flight of stairs to climb, difficult for elderly or if you are carrying luggage. The wet market behind is interesting. The hotel is directly connected to the shopping mall at Lobby level. Cleanliness & housekeeping is excellent especially since the hotel is not that new. They also provide bottled water whenever you require more."

"Staying here for second time. The room was a bit old and the curtain doesn’t work well but as a solo traveler, it was ok. The door is not well soundproof. I would prefer the first time I stayed here. However, with this price in HK, I would say I am still ok with overall experience."

"The front desk staff were absolutely amazing! At first, I spoke English, but when they realized I was Chinese, they switched to speaking with me in Mandarin, and there was no hint of discrimination whatsoever. They even upgraded me to a sea-view suite, which was incredibly thoughtful! I was able to store my luggage at the hotel on both the first and second days, which was a huge help since finding luggage storage in Hong Kong can be tricky. After checking out, I realized I'd left my umbrella in the room, but the front desk was super helpful and immediately sent someone to retrieve it. What's more, when they brought it back, they had neatly folded it (I had just left it on the floor). This is truly an excellent hotel; their service surpasses even five-star establishments."

"Such a pleasant surprise! ❤️ First, the room size really stood out. If you’ve stayed in mid-range hotels in Hong Kong before, you know space can be tight. But here, the room felt noticeably more spacious and well laid out. We had enough room for our luggage and could still move around comfortably without bumping into everything. It made a big difference, especially after long days out. The cleanliness was consistently impressive. The room was cleaned every single day, towels were changed daily, and even the slippers were replaced every two days. Everything always felt fresh and well taken care of. You can tell the housekeeping team pays attention to the details. The pantry area was simple but very practical. It wasn’t overdone or cluttered, just neat and useful. Everything was organized, easy to use, and kept tidy. It was great to have a clean and functional space to prepare quick snacks or drinks. And we really have to mention Sir Edward, the night manager. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. Always smiling, easy to talk to, and genuinely helpful. After a long day exploring, it was nice to come back to someone who made you feel welcome. That personal touch really made our stay even better. Overall, Urbanwood AP Lei Chau gave us great value for what we paid. Clean rooms, more space than expected, practical amenities, and warm service. We’d definitely stay here again."

"Excellent value for money, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were also very friendly. For the same price, it's much better than staying in those tiny guesthouses in the city center. Although it's a bit out of the way, located on the site of the former Kai Tak Airport, the surroundings are superb. I ended up walking everywhere, enjoying the Sky Garden and the sea views along the way, even skipping the bus!"
