"I stayed at Atlantis The Palm over ten years ago and was truly amazed by its grandeur. So, I had high expectations for the one in Haitang Bay. This hotel is a comprehensive resort where you can find everything you need for dining, entertainment, and activities. It's especially great for families with kids. If you love water activities, I recommend staying for three consecutive days. **Environment:** The beach isn't as good as Yalong Bay, and it definitely can't compare to The Palm. But if you're not planning on going to the beach, it's not a big deal. There were tons of activities during the National Day holiday. The Aquaventure Waterpark and The Lost Chambers Aquarium are both fantastic, and you can enter multiple times daily with facial recognition, which is super convenient. The room was spacious, stylish, and comfortable, with a partial sea view. We experienced a typhoon during our stay, and it was interesting to watch the sea slowly change from murky yellow back to blue. However, there was too much trash on the beach. **Facilities:** The air conditioning wasn't very strong, not as powerful as InterContinental, and couldn't reach the set temperature. I only got a good night's sleep after switching to a thinner duvet. Also, since this is a water-themed hotel, we sometimes changed swimsuits three times a day. It would be great if there were more swimsuit spin dryers. The toiletries are Ahava, Israel's number one brand, which felt very familiar since I've visited Ahava in Israel. **Breakfast:** There are two breakfast restaurants, Saffron and Kaleidoscopic. The variety is abundant, with many Hainan specialties. Today, I even saw a coffee latte art machine, though the staff seemed to be still learning how to use it. The hotel also has many other restaurants, offering options for lunch and dinner to suit all budgets. **Pools:** There are two outdoor pools. The family pool is open until 10 PM, but the bottom had too much debris, which hurt my feet. The Royal Pool, which is also the infinity pool, closed at 7:30 PM. It's a great spot for photos. **Service:** The butler service was incredibly convenient. Upon arrival, we received a series of tips, and any issues could be directly communicated to Coral, who responded quickly. For example, she helped with checking the air conditioning and replacing the duvet."

"Third time here and we had a fantastic family holiday again! Location, beach, swimming pools and gardens are gorgeous and really well kept. We love the different pool options and the room with direct pool access is so convenient with kids. I agree with other reviews that rooms could use renovation, especially if they used to be smoking rooms, but daily cleaning is impeccable. The open air breakfast spot is lovely and breakfast choice is excellent, Chinese restaurant is also very good and provided such nice support to celebrate kid’s birthday. Derrick Liu was so helpful to address any concerns, everyone on staff is super friendly and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Can wholeheartedly recommend!"

"The room was clean and tidy, and the balcony offered a great sea view. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and helpful. Breakfast hours are super flexible, from 7 AM to 12 PM, so you can really sleep in and still catch it. The downstairs swimming pool and gym are free to use, too. And the best part? I thought the room price was really fantastic! There's some construction going on nearby for an underwater tunnel, which can be a bit noisy, but once you close the windows and doors, it's pretty well soundproofed. There's also a free kids' play area that my child absolutely loved. All in all, I was very satisfied with my stay."

"This is an absolutely fantastic family-friendly hotel! It shares facilities and activities with the Hualuxe next door, so there's a packed schedule of holiday activities. Even though we encountered a typhoon, we were never bored. The kids had an absolute blast, and all the staff were incredibly kind and friendly – it's truly geared towards families. Our butler, Xia Zhi, provided very attentive service, accommodating all our requests from room arrangements and children's amenities to activity bookings. The rooms come with a fridge and an induction cooktop, and there's a shared laundry room. It's about a 5-minute walk from the Hualuxe lobby to the beach, where the hotel has its own dedicated loungers. With mountains, sea, and a lake nearby, it would be lovely to stay for an extended period."

"To be honest, I didn't have high expectations at first because it was so much cheaper compared to other hotels. However, upon arrival, I felt it was excellent value for money. It's a very new hotel, and someone helped with my luggage when I got out of the car. The check-in staff were also very polite. When I got to the room, I was incredibly satisfied; it was spotless, and even the hairdryer was a Dyson. The decor was very high-end, and the room itself was very spacious with a balcony outside that offered direct sea views, perfect for enjoying the breeze. The butler service was incredibly attentive and thorough; they responded instantly no matter how late it was. And the hotel breakfast was also absolutely delicious!"

"Good place to stay. Clean, handy to lots of cafes and about 10min walk to the waterfront with restaurants and entertainment. Wouldn't call it 5 star, but definitely deserved a solid 4star. We had breakfast included, everything to cover bases, mostly Chinese type food with some European options, like eggs, sausages, toasts as well as fresh fruit. Staff doesn't speak English but easy communication via translation app."

"Our room was on a high floor with views of both the lake and the ocean. There were so many family-friendly activities, like the panda dance, magic shows, and lacquer fan making in the lobby. The breakfast spread was extensive with a wide variety of options. The infinity pool was perfect for photos. My child absolutely loved the water park downstairs; it was genuinely great for kids aged 3 and up, and there was even crab catching! The beach was just across the road, with hotel sun loungers and staff, who also provided sand-digging tools and towels. The mini-bar was replenished after we finished items, and bottled water was unlimited. Our butler, Beibei, was incredibly attentive and responsible. She prepared a bed rail and a child's toilet seat for us in advance and checked in daily to see if we needed anything – big thumbs up! On our last night, she even sent up desserts and fruit."

"The price was excellent, and the room was incredibly spacious. The 180-degree sea view truly lived up to its reputation, making for a very pleasant stay. The location is fantastic, with the beach and sea just across the road, which is incredibly convenient. The staff were also very warm, enthusiastic, and attentive. Just a small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could upgrade its beach facilities, such as the loungers and parasols. We were a little envious of the neighboring hotel's beach setup. Despite this, we were very satisfied overall."

There's a wide variety of villa types, from one to six bedrooms, and the prices are relatively affordable, especially for groups, making the per-person cost very competitive. Some villas even come with private pools, offering excellent value for money. The interiors of the villas are spacious, with clearly defined bedrooms, living rooms, and courtyards. The bedding is soft, and some villas also feature amenities like private pools and bathtubs, catering perfectly to guests' vacation needs."

"This is a very well-established resort. The hotel lobby is grand, and the public areas are beautiful. The beach quality is excellent, boasting the best sea views in Yalong Bay. Besides the reef-shaped pool near the ocean, there's also a 25-meter lap pool next to the kids' club, which is almost always empty – perfect for serious swimmers. They also have tennis courts, a traditional Chinese medicine clinic, Japanese cuisine, nail services, and more; all your dining, entertainment, and leisure needs are covered. The complimentary travel photoshoot felt a bit production-line, but the staff were very friendly, and the photos by the sea turned out great, so we paid extra for a few more shots. We received welcome fruits. The room details were a bit ordinary overall, and it was quite damp being so close to the sea, but the Marriott service was very satisfying!"
