"Warm Hospitality & Comfortable Stay Near Shangri-La Ancient Town
I had such a great stay at Shanshui Yunjian Inn! The owner, his wife, and their son were absolutely amazing—so friendly, warm, and always ready to help. They even allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated after a long journey.
The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the attached heater made the chilly weather feel cozy. I honestly had one of the best sleeps during my trip here.
They also helped me rent a motorbike at a very affordable price, which made it easy for me to explore Napahai Lake and the Songzanlin Monastery.
The inn’s decor is simple but tasteful, with a relaxing atmosphere. Plus, it’s just a short walk to Shangri-La Ancient Town, which is super convenient.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants comfort, kindness, and a good location in Shangri-La!"

"This is the great place to stay. They have oxygen generator, air humidifier, heater, as well as electric banklet. These will help you get well sleep during a chill night, especially electric banklet. There is a complementary round-trip train station transfer. Breakfast is nice."

"Location is great. It's inside the lijiang Ancient city & also close to road with access to cars so you don't have to drag your luggage in the ancient city. It's also quiet at night for restful sleep.
Hotel has aircon, electric blankets, good hot showers and also heater at the shower area to keep u warm at all times during the colder times. Also an oxygen machine free for use. Only improvement is the black out curtains r not very black out, so the room will not be entirely blacked out.
They provide only one time use disposable towels which some prefer for hygiene but I still prefer the normal towels.
Daily housekeeping is not provided unless requested and advised that no valuables in the room.
Toilet is leaky so the floor is always kinda wet.
For travellers, late may / early June is kinda their rainy season so it's a bit troublesome when going to attractions. Rain is not heavy and with occasional sun."

"I made some travel guides when I came to Shangri-La, and I thought Xiangbai ******* Art Courtyard was the ******* homestay I wanted, especially after reading the reviews. After I made the reservation, I contacted the boss and told him whether he could pick me up at the high-speed rail station if I was going alone. He readily agreed. Even though the arrival time was delayed by more than an hour on the day, he still waited for me patiently. Moreover, he drove a new car, Tu Si. After arriving, I felt the sincerity of his family. In the evening, I ordered the specialty yak hotpot from his house. The quantity was large and the taste was delicious. I felt very happy eating it. Zhuoma made breakfast every day and changed the variety. It was only 62 yuan to buy tickets for Songzanlin Temple from his house, and you can enter the scenic area many times. The full set of clothing and makeup plus the photographer taking photos are also done in Xiangbai Courtyard, so you don’t have to worry about it. If you want to play around, you can also rent his car if the boss is free and accompany him to explain. It is better to listen to the scenery than to see it. I gained a lot. I really regard it as an inn friend here. I ask him about the itinerary later. He is very responsible to help. I originally planned to stay for two nights without hesitation to add one night It was comfortable and safe to live here. There is a reason why the business is so good. I was a little reluctant to leave. The boss’s mom has a high EQ and took the initiative to give me a hug. It was really a pleasure to encounter a warm and service-oriented accommodation in an unfamiliar place!"

"Simply wonderful, truly outstanding! The entire front desk team was incredibly warm and friendly. They assisted us with our luggage upon check-in and even after check-out, which truly highlighted Shangri-La's renowned hospitality. Any minor issues in the room were also proactively and efficiently addressed. For example, when the toilet wasn't flushing initially, they were available on WeChat and incredibly apologetic even after the issue was resolved. This level of service was truly exceptional, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious too!"

"The young staff member who picked me up at the train station was incredibly helpful, proactively assisting with my luggage. It made the arrival completely stress-free, as I didn't have to worry about finding a taxi or navigating to the hotel.
My room was exceptionally spacious and even featured an oxygen supply system (both diffused and nasal). I had been worried about altitude sickness, but I rested so well that I didn't experience any symptoms at all.
In the morning, I wanted to extend my stay for another night, but unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked. Next time, I'll be sure to book for a longer duration.

"The guesthouse felt very private, with its own entrance and courtyard. The moment we walked into the lobby, we were struck by its impressive ambiance. Beyond the guest rooms, there's also a ******* folk culture hall. The owner, a lovely ******* grandma, is incredibly welcoming and happy to share stories about their culture if you're interested. Upstairs on the second floor, complimentary ******* traditional attire is available for guests to try on for photos. Our group of nine all dressed up and took some fantastic pictures in the culture hall and lobby – the results were awesome! Everyone was thoroughly satisfied with the black chicken hotpot and yak butter tea served on the night of our check-in. We had booked three rooms, and Grandma generously upgraded them, which was a lovely surprise! We stayed for two nights. On our departure day, breakfast usually started at 8 AM, but we had to leave by 7 AM. Grandma, being incredibly thoughtful, had already prepared eggs, steamed buns, and corn for us. We were so touched by her kindness. As we left, we said our goodbyes to Grandma. We told her we'd definitely be back and would recommend her place to all our friends. Goodbye, dear ******* Grandma with such a bright spirit!"

"An absolutely fantastic experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff were incredibly patient. We did encounter a couple of minor hiccups during our stay, but these were handled flawlessly.
Firstly, a bouquet of flowers we had purchased was accidentally discarded with the trash. After we reported it, the staff were extremely patient and proactive in resolving the issue, offering multiple solutions, including buying us new flowers and having them sent to our home, and providing complimentary breakfast. We are especially grateful to Lhamo, Allen, and Mark for their outstanding service in this regard.
Secondly, the staff were consistently thoughtful, helping us adjust the room temperature, accepting food deliveries, and ensuring the shuttle service was always prompt.
Finally, upon check-out, I realized I had left my laptop charger in the room. The staff responded immediately and helped mail it back to my company, even refusing payment when we offered to cover the shipping costs. Their dedication and patience were truly impressive.
A special thanks also goes to Emma and Daisy, who proactively contacted us after these incidents and offered various solutions. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for giving us such a wonderful Shangri-La travel experience."
