"The building was the iconic building of Tianjin 30 years ago, but now it definitely shows the age. The apartment we had was very functional but had damp smell so we had to open all the windows at first. The location and amenities are super good especially if you need an extended stay. The best features for us were the view of tourists area and the washing machine. I planned this stop to refresh all our clothes in the middle of our summer trip."

"The location was about a 10mins walk from the closest exit of XiKangLu station. Security and receptionist were onsite 24/7 and were mostly friendly and pleasant to deal with. However, even though I stayed for 4 nights, not once did housekeeping change my sheets. While they did clean and freshen up the room each day, the beds were made with very minimal effort. Other than that everything went well."

"Before my business trip, I was quite concerned after reading some reviews, particularly about the air conditioning not being cool enough. However, upon checking in, all my worries were completely gone. Firstly, for around 600 (local currency implied) to stay in a five-star hotel and even receive a complimentary room upgrade? You really can't ask for more! Secondly, the hotel's attention to detail was impeccable. Doormen were always ready to open car doors and assist with luggage, and essential items like towels or tissues were promptly delivered to the room, no matter the time of day or night. The room was spotlessly clean, and the housekeeping staff even left a thoughtful note. The bed had the perfect firmness – not too soft, not too hard – making it particularly comfortable, especially for larger guests. The biggest highlight for me was their shower gel and shampoo. The quality and selection were excellent, with a unique, pleasant fragrance that wasn't overpowering. It truly showed their commitment to excellence in every detail. The location was convenient, close to all major attractions, and the hotel pool was sparkling clean! I would absolutely choose this hotel again for both business and leisure trips! 😉😉😉"

"Although I checked in again more than half a year later, Zora at the front desk recognized me immediately and thoughtfully helped me and my daughter arrange adjacent rooms. The bellman was polite and professional. Breakfast is served at the Renaissance Hotel next door, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western options. My daughter used the gym and the butler service was prompt and considerate. The quality of Marriott cannot be said enough!"

"First and foremost, I'd like to extend my sincere gratitude to Jennifer from the hotel staff. Our family of four (two adults and two children) was returning from a vacation in France, and Jennifer was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic, going above and beyond to meet our accommodation needs. It was my husband's and children's first time visiting Tianjin, and the views from our hotel window were truly stunning. The hotel is very conveniently located, and both the facilities and service left us with wonderful memories. Once again, a big thank you to Jennifer. "This time, we booked an apartment unit. The room was very spacious and fully equipped with amenities such as a microwave, refrigerator, and washing machine, which was extremely convenient. With two bedrooms and two beds, it was especially suitable for a family of three. The hotel service was excellent; Xiao Fan at the front desk was incredibly friendly and genuinely welcoming to guests. The hotel is ideally located in the city center, making it very convenient for getting around. Nearby, attractions such as the Wudadao area, the Haihe River, Food Street, and Ancient Culture Street are all within easy reach of the hotel."

"The hotel's location was the most satisfying aspect. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the subway station, and reaching the Olympic Sports Center (entering through the venue's ground parking lot) also takes under 10 minutes. Both the front desk and the breakfast restaurant provided good service. The room amenities were satisfactory, and the bedding and towels were of good quality. The breakfast selection was a bit limited; next time, I plan to book a room without breakfast and try the Manling Congee restaurant across the street. There's a Luckin Coffee shop located in the lobby on the ground floor."

"I booked this for my boyfriend's birthday and set up some simple decorations. The room was really spacious, with the living room being ideal for decorating. The bedroom had windows on two sides, providing excellent natural light – perfect for great photos! Room service was super quick in bringing up anything we needed. The front desk staff were also fantastic; I told them I wasn't quite packed, and they graciously offered a late check-out."

"It's a little far from the city, but the environment and sanitation are pretty good, the lobby is beautiful, and the swimming pool is super spacious, but I have to complain about the hotel's service! Because the quality of service directly determines the customer's experience and whether they will stay again! First of all, the front desk clerk had a stiff tone and a rude attitude when checking in, and she didn't even raise her head when asking her questions and checking out! I brought a child who was over 120 for breakfast and told him that I had to pay for breakfast. I said I would pay together when I left, but the waiter chased me twice to confirm when I would pay. Was he afraid that I would run away? It really affected my mood! I've stayed in so many hotels, and you are one of the few that I have to comment seriously! Please improve your service quality, and don't be two-faced when facing your own people and foreigners!"

"We checked in at the ”Somerset Olympic Tower”, late Saturday night. This, as another branded hotel, disappointed us greatly, due to basic facilities not being available (we checked out). Upon arrival at the Somerset Olympic Tower, we were warmly received, by the front of house. Special thanks to ”Avery”, for her hospitality and for making us feel right at home, much appreciated. Note: Check in and check out, was effortless and prompt, the way it should be. Thank you. Our suite was exceptionally well equipped. A well layed out kitchen, with major (Fridge, Washing Machine) and minor appliances (Microwave) as well as cutlery and crockery. (Everything you need, for a long or short stay). The dining room had a table and chair set, suitable for family or friends. We enjoyed the lounge area as well, the sofa was comfortable and the area is well organised. There is an office area as well, should you require the use of a desk. The bedroom has a on suite bathroom, equiped with a bathtub / shower combination. We found the bed to be comfortable, with quality bedding on it. The suite has numerous windows, with clear city views. Breakfast (buffet) was excellent, with a great selection (Western and Chinese Style). The facilities are on international standard. Guests can enjoy a fully equiped professional gymnasium, and a heated swimming pool during their stay. Overall we were extremly satisfied with the service received, the facilities and the meals. We look forward to visiting the ”Somerset Olympic Tower” often, and in the near future."
