"Overall it was a nice stay but it was a mixed experience. What we loved - The room was lovely, we were really happy with the amenities available in the room. We booked a studio and it came with 2 double beds, good kitchen amenities, large bathroom, washer and dryer and a pretty cool skylight with a black out blind (we were in room 411 on the 4th floor) - Staff were lovely and polite - Location was ideal as it wasn't too far from the station and had plenty of shops, cafes and Christmas activities around. What we didn't like - The room wasn't as clean as we'd hoped. One of the rooms has dust behind the door and the vents for the A/C needed dusting. - There was a little confusion over whether I'd paid, I paid beforehand with Trip.com and it didn't register with them, so they asked for me to pay when checking in, if I hadn't checked I may have needed too. (Also if you're booking, it may be worth going direct as there was a nearly £30 difference between the price I paid through trip.com and what I was 'invoiced' following our stay) - They ran out of shampoo and it had clearly been filled up with water to compensate (not major but if you're paying nearly £200 a night these are the small details I'd expect to be addressed -Finally, this one is for the staff, you have a cool radio in the room in 411 but please check the plug socket as is cuts out and you can hear the electricity buzzing when you plug the socket in. Didn't have any noise issues and I would definitely stay again, though I don't think I'd pay the price I did for it again. (Hotel was charging £158.95, Trip.com charged me £183)"

"The room is tidy and clean. The food in foreign hotels is basically not comparable to that in China. There is a gap, but it is richer abroad and the service is warm."

"The hotel's location in Edinburgh was a bit out of the way, not being in the city center. Our room was on the lower ground floor, directly beneath the breakfast area. In the mornings, the scraping and movement of chairs from guests having breakfast upstairs created very jarring noises in our room, which was enough to wake us up. Judging by the bathroom facilities, it seemed we were assigned an accessible room."

"When I was checking in for help, my attitude was very bad and I was impatient. And when I got back to the hotel at the end of the tour, the door was closed. And I don't have access to the password, and no one ever told me the password! Calling customer service won't fix the problem either. It kept me standing outside for 20 minutes."

"The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the Princes Street exit of the train station, with a direct elevator to the front desk. The room was clean and quiet, and the bar offered bread and hot drinks every morning. Downstairs, there's a large shopping mall, making shopping very convenient. It's also within walking distance to Calton Hill and other major attractions. This is a really excellent choice for accommodation when visiting Edinburgh."

"The room itself was nice. However during our entire visit the ground floor is under renovation so only a small cramp room for breakfast and you have to carry food back to the room. Also had requested to have the room cleaned multiple days and each time the cleaners somehow missed our room. We even left specific note to the reception to ensure our room didn’t get skipped and yet find room wasn’t cleaned. When we finally got it cleaned (on third attempt), they missed clearing the bins (was full to brim as we stayed for a few days by then and they haven’t cleaned the room since) and missed changing the sheets when we even explicitly requested for it at the reception two days in a row. In the end we didn’t manage to get the sheets changed for our entire week stay… when we asked to leave the feedback to the manager, the reception staff told us to make appointment with their manager on the next day when they visit the hotel. We were already quite upset with the service we received and yet when asked to pass on feedback of our experience to the manager we were told to carve out some time in the middle of the day during our holiday to make an appointment to deliver the message ourselves!?? Not great experience."

"The room is very good, with a large space and complete kitchen facilities. It is located in the student dormitory of the University of Edinburgh. However, because we booked a family room facing the street, it was too noisy, with heavy traffic and drunkards going crazy downstairs. I could hear everything they said clearly, so I didn't sleep well."

"Absolutely loved this hotel! The staff are so enthusiastic and helpful- nothing is too much trouble! The rooms are fantastic: larger than average, and equipped with EVERYTHING you could possibly need as a traveller: tea & coffee (sugar, tea, coffee), a microwave, stove, working fridge, and AMPLE table space options! There was even a portable clothes line in the bathroom. Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"The hotel is in a good location, located in the old city, about 15 minutes walk from the airport bus stop. Because the fly in the ointment is that you need to push your luggage up the slope. If you don't have much luggage, you can take the stairs to reach it. The room has a kitchenette suitable for buying fast-cooked meals at the supermarket. The tableware and dishwashing equipment are complete and no passengers need to bring their own. The front desk is 10 points friendly and complete. However, if you want to consider storing luggage, the hotel said that luggage during the peak August period cannot be stored for more than a day. We participated in the five-day local group in the Scottish Highlands. We stayed at this hotel for large luggage before and after the day, but it was possible to not accept luggage storage for more than one day during the peak August period, so you should pay attention or email the hotel in advance."

"This hotel is spacious and bright, offering plenty of room. The rooms are clean and tidy, and you can even prepare light meals there. The facilities are comprehensive, the bed is very comfortable, and it's quiet and peaceful at night. Thoughtful complimentary snacks are also provided in the room."
