"I came to Fukuoka for a city walk, and here's my review of the hotel:
1. **Location & Transportation:** The hotel's location is excellent! It's super convenient, with two subway entrances nearby. When coming from the airport, we took the Hakozaki Line, and the exit led directly to the hotel without needing to cross the road. For the return trip to the airport, the Kuko Line stop was just across the street. Very easy!
The hotel is situated in Nakasu. The Ichiran Ramen main store is right next door – that was our first meal in Fukuoka, and there was even a queue outside. From the hotel, it's a short walk (3-4 minutes) to Tenjin Central Park, 15-20 minutes to Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall, and within a 30-minute walk to Canal City, Nakasu Yatai (food stalls), Nakasu walking street, Kushida Shrine, Tocho-ji Temple, and more. For further sights like Fukuoka Castle Ruins, Ohori Park, and Fukuoka Tower, it's just a few subway stops away. It's also very convenient to take the train from Nishitetsu Tenjin Station (South) to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (with a transfer at Futsukaichi). Hakata Station is only two subway stops away.
2. **Nearby Food:** There are so many great food options around the hotel! I highly recommend a few must-try spots: Ichiran Ramen (main store), Yoshizuka Unagi (main store) – about a 20-minute walk along the river, and Shokudo Hikari (for set meals and sashimi).
3. **Hotel Room:** The room was a bit small, but it was clean and tidy. Towels were changed daily during our three-night stay. The window faced the outer wall of the adjacent building. There was no desk and no complimentary bottled water. The cabinet (as shown in picture 2) was useful for placing items like cameras, power banks, and charging cables.
Check-in time at the hotel is after 3 PM, but you can drop off your luggage if you arrive early. The staff were patient and professional during check-in – thumbs up!
If you're coming to Fukuoka for a city walk and to enjoy the local cuisine, I'd definitely recommend considering this hotel."
